2025.01.18 13:02 Moniker42 Is there a real contrast difference between Epson 3200 and Epson 3800?
So a friend gave me his Epson 3200 for a few months to try out, now he wants it back I'm buying a projector of my own. I like the "look and feel" of the projection so was going to stick with Epson LCD; the long throw distance also suits my room setup. The one thing is that dark scenes were quite disappointing.
Now the 3800 has a stated contrast ratio of 100,000:1 compared to 40,000:1 on the 3200 – but I've also read that these contrast ratios are essentially meaningless. Has anyone seen them side by side? Are dark scenes really going to be more than twice as good on the 3800?
Going by the stated specs, it seems that if the 3800 isn't significantly better, I may as well get the Epson 2350, which has a 35,000:1 contrast ratio and is significantly cheaper. I could then spend some money on a quality grey screen.
I was also looking at the BenQ TK710, which is more expensive but has great reviews, and I love the idea of laser. Never had a DLP projector though so worried about rainbow effect.
Any advice appreciated!

I've never seen this game reviewed on the B580. I have 4k HDR with 60/75 dynamic resolution. It stays pretty good at the 120fps target with a few dips to 110 or so. Its somewhere around 100fps with dynamic resolution off. I've tweaked the GPU settings a bit (+100mhz/20Gbps mem). That is on a 11600k and DDR4 3600.

I'm an experienced KB user looking to kick myself back into gear. I did the 10k swing challenge before Christmas and am now doing the ABC.
I've downloaded the book but having read it I'm a bit confused and would appreciate some insight from those who have done it. I get the ultimate goal is doing 30 sets of ABC with double 24s.
But what happens if you're not starting on 24s? I thought he said aim to get 5 reps done, I reckon starting off I may need to do that with double 20s.
At what point do I progress up to 24s? Do I need to bag 30 reps of double 20s before progressing?
Also, my reading is he's saying you could just do ABCs / presses (delete as appropriate) as standalone workouts without anything else, which seems like a very short workout. Or is he saying, add in other things - the glute exercises.
I do like DJ and have been trained for many years in his approach, but this is the first book I've bought and boy could he do with an editor. Thanks
