A little over a year ago I destroyed things with a man who was the best connection of my life. For 7-8 months I hardly let him seep into my thoughts, I stayed as busy as I've ever been I guess as a way to distract myself from overthinking. I also jumped back into a situationship with someone from my past for a brief period of time. About 5 months ago the regret, guilt and shame of what I did to sabotage the relationship hit me like a ton of bricks. And along with that I've fallen into an abyss of ruminating about what a wonderful and perfect person he was. The guilt and shame has brought my feelings of self loathing to levels I don't think I've ever reached before. But I can deal with that as they've been present my entire life. However, the ruminating about him is just non-stop every waking hour, every day. And I'll dream about him most nights. I've had to take time off of work because I just can't stay focused on anything. I've been through this in the past, but nothing this extreme. It was controllable and would usually pass after a few months time. This time it's 5 months and it's only getting worse. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to get through this and try to at least control the constant thoughts of him?

So, I’ve had an interesting few years hosting someone at my place, and I need some advice about an awkward situation.
Context about my dad [ My dad is the kind of person who would do anything for his loved ones. He’s super generous, always helping people financially, and if they owe him money, he just says, "They’ll give it back when they want to." So, yeah, he’s pretty chill about these things. ]
The situation!!!
A few years ago, one of my dad’s friend’s sons needed a place to stay while attending college. My dad told me, “Let him stay with you until he’s done.” I didn’t ask many questions—I just left it to my dad and his friend to sort out the details.
Here’s the thing: this guy moved in with nothing but his clothes and a few books. No blanket, no mattress, no sheets. My dad told me, “Let him use whatever’s at home—extra blankets, food, even toothpaste.” So I was like, “Alright, no problem.”
Fast forward: Year 1: He used everything without buying even a single coriander leaf.
Year 2: Same story. When I asked him to grab some veggies from the market, he’d say, “Give me money, and I’ll get it.”
Year 3: So all this time He helped with cooking and cleaning sometimes, but still no contribution otherwise.
When college ended- he decided to join a coaching program and asked to stay 3 more months. My dad, being my dad, said, “No problem.” But those “3 months” turned into endless extensions. Finally, after many calls to my parents, my dad told him to find a place and move out.
Before he moved out : I called him out once because he hid a brand-new towel I had just bought.
He left and went back to his hometown for a week. Then, suddenly, he showed up again, saying he got a job nearby and just needed “a few days” to stay until he found a place. A few days later, he left again.
The current awkward situation
The day after he moved out, he called and asked if I could cook for him because he didn’t have a tiffin service yet. I said okay, and he came over, ate, took some stuff he had left behind—and here’s where it gets weird.
I noticed that my slippers were missing after he left. I’ve searched everywhere—my room, bathroom, the whole house—and I can’t find them. Now I’m not sure if he took them or if I misplaced them somewhere.
Here’s the thing: I don’t even know how to ask him about it without sounding accusatory. Like, “Hey, did you take my slippers?” feels so awkward and petty after everything.
What would you do in this situation? Should I just let it go? Or is there a way to ask him without making it weird?
TL;DR: Dad's friend's son stayed with me for 3+ years during college, using all my resources without contributing. He finally moved out after many extensions, but now my slippers are missing, and I’m not sure if he took them or if I misplaced them. How do I ask him about it without sounding awkward? Or should I just let it go?

Hello, I am traveling to Germany sometime during the spring and wanted to ask if my travel plans are reasonable and would love any suggestions or help as its not finalized! This is my first time traveling internationally too and I don't know a lick of German as context as well. Tuesday: Land in Frankfurt (~9:30am) and stay a night there with a friend
Wednesday: Take a train to Berlin early morning from Frankfurt and explore the city
Thursday: Continue to stay in Berlin and take a train to Hanover (~5/6 pm)
Friday: Stay In Hanover to meet a professor. Later that night take a train to Amsterdam (4hr train ride)
Saturday: Arrive in Amsterdam early morning and explore. Later that night take a train back to Frankfurt
Sunday: Stay in the Frankfurt Airport until my morning flight

I'm going through a breakup and I don't really understand how to process it. I figured out the logical part of it, I have come to terms with what happened. However I still struggle with moving on from the memories. I miss the old her who used to love me and made an effort to talk to me and hang out with me. She used to be so sweet but now she's doing things I'd never in a million years think she would do. She isn't good for me and I need to let go of these memories.
People tell me that I just need to process them and "feel my emotions", but what does that mean? Every night and morning I am sad and I am thinking of her, sometimes for a couple hours. I'm missing the memories, I think of how she changed, and I just get stuck in these same loops of thoughts. I'm starting to question if this is unhealthy, and if it will keep me from moving on. What does "feeling your emotions" look like? Is it getting stuck in sorrow for hours? I was thinking maybe I should take only a minute or two to understand that I am feeling a certain way and feel it, but not give in to laying in sorrow for hours and instead move on to something else. What am I supposed to do?
