I want to preface this post with the fact that I LOVE what they put out for Balloonerism on streaming. The only thing is I find myself defintely preferring the songs from the original Balloonerism versions that were leaked to be much better than the two new songs. He Finally Sleeps, and Bob’s Dementia (Especially that piano on BD) are more of a fit for the album’s feelland sound. Without them the album feels not how raw, eerily cold, empty, and still somehow lively the original version was. (Which in my opinion made it even more special and unique as a project) Again love the new songs too but i just feel like they change the vibe of the album a lot compared with what we became accustomed with from the leaked versions.
Wonder if anyone feels the same?

2025.01.18 19:00 Im-gonna-cry1 Just finished season 1.
Holy shit. That last scene made me so tense, and I was on the verge of tears. The very last frame is a crazy cliffhanger. I absolutely love this show, but I’m probably taking a Lil break before watching season 2. The show was Recommended to me by a friend, and I was a little skeptic of the animation at first, but I do not regret deciding to Watch the show. The writing is amazing(I am an aspiring author) and the animation is so pretty. Also, I have a new list of gender envy(I am nonbinary, so I have many possibilties) and many new fic crushes. Anyway, as i said I am taking a break before watching it, but Im excited for s2!

This is a story about an ORB Observation, I'm certain it happened, changed my life forever. Back in that time, I tried to do my research about it. There was none to minimal information related online, and anybody else that I'm aware of had a similar experience then. (Talking about siblings, friends, family, or just people around).
Time: This was around 2006-2008. I was between 6 and 9 years old, and I'm now 26.
Location: Santiago de Chile (if necessary, I can give the exact location, still living around this place, actually.)
When I was a little boy, I went to a medical clinic after getting injured at school. My mom came to pick me up, and we started walking back home. Everything seemed normal at first—cars on the road, people walking by, the usual noise of the city. But as we approached a certain spot, something strange happened.
Suddenly, all the traffic stopped. No cars were moving. There were no people around. It was as if the entire world had frozen in place. A heavy silence blanketed the area. It was eerie, like the calm before a storm.
I looked up at the sky, searching for some explanation. Everything seemed ordinary at first, but then I saw it—a glowing orb of light. It looked like a ball of plasma, descending slowly toward us. The orb stopped just above our heads, no more than 30 meters from the ground.
I was fascinated, but my mom was frozen in shock. The light was mesmerizing. It wasn’t blinding or flickering, and it didn’t change colors. It glowed softly, orange like fire, perfectly spherical. It felt alive somehow, almost like it was observing us. I remember thinking it was like a torchlight or a lantern, but without the structure—just the light itself, pure and smooth. I’m certain it was rotating, too.
Then, I started hearing sounds in my head. They were strange, almost angelic, as if the light was trying to communicate. For a few moments, everything felt surreal, like we had stepped into another world.
And then, just as suddenly as it had appeared, the orb started moving. It rose back into the sky and shot off toward the east at an incredible speed. I tried to follow it, running across the street, but within seconds, it vanished into the clouds.
As soon as it disappeared, everything went back to normal. Cars started moving again. People reappeared as if nothing had happened. The world came back to life. My mom was still standing on the sidewalk, pale and speechless. We didn’t say a word to each other as we walked the rest of the way home.
Even now, I can’t fully explain what happened that day. But I’ll never forget the light, the silence, and the strange feeling that we had witnessed something beyond understanding.

How often do you all use filter enveloped on kicks? I've been studying modern house tracks and studying the kick-bass relationship. I'm able to have clean lowend with good ducking and kick around 1/16th note, but it becomes a bit phasey when I make a kick more towards 1/8th. On many industry house tracks I notive kicks approaching 1/8th with a thick bassline underneath. I've tried EQ and volume shaping in a million ways, but never putting a filter envelope on the kick, rolling off the sub end towards the tail. Is this a thing? Do you all use any enveloped on any of your drums in your samplers?
