2025.01.18 19:38 dark-stormy Quiet pivot?

Seems like this company is quietly pivoting into AI note taking. I already have an app I've paid for for years that does this. I was paying Amie for better calendar experience. Seems like that's not the focus any more. Time to start looking for yet another better calendar?

2025.01.18 19:38 TallCitron8244 What I'd love to see from a balance update

First off, I'm not grandmaster or one above all, nothing like that. I play ranked but mostly casual, so these are all going to be from that perspective. Anyone high up on the ranked ladder, feel free to interject with your experiences!
First off, Nerfs I think should be implemented:

  1. Moon Knight Ultimate damage lowered and cooldown increased.
I may be in the minority, but I feel like he felt perfectly fine before the buffs. Now he feels so oppressive it's crazy, ulting every 60 seconds it feels like. His ankh's are also a little crazy with how much burst damage they can do, but it feels like they fairly reward good picks on bad positioning enemies.
  1. Star Lord damage, ult and mobility nerfed.
He's probably my least favorite character in the game. He just gets way too much of everything he could need. He's got his fly ability already for disengage, so the Bkaster Barrage feels like it's too much when he has it 24/7. I think it should have a longer cooldown or do the same damage for a shorter window. His ultimate is just flat out unfun. I hate abilities that auto hit, and Star Lord's is super egregious. It also feels like it lasts way too long. I'd probably either make it no longer auto target, or just shorten how long it's up for. His regular damage i think should take a small hit too. He kills even medium health characters instantly, to the point I feel like there's no counterplay to him half the time. He's just all around probably the most unfun character to me in the game from a gameplay perspective.
  1. Iron Fist has too much mobility imo. He's crazier than Spiderman at times. I understand he's a melee character who needs to be able to engage/disengage. I also understand poor play at lower levels makes him seem stronger than he is (myself included there). I still think he's a bit too much. Characters can be melee and still work without so much mobility. Wolverine and Magik as examples. If Iron Fist gets to wall run on top of his jumps and kick, I think he'd be just fine with one less jump (so 2 max). As he stands right now, he's a little too capable in the air I think.
  2. Luna and Mantis ultimates need a nerf
Every other healer in the game feels good, even these two, EXCEPT when they ult. It just pauses the game state or forces the other team to back off, often at great and real cost. I wouldn't nerf them into the ground, just like with Moon Knight's, shorten the period they're active for. These two ults should reward smart play, not create oppressive windows of play.
Now for buffs I think should be implemented:
  1. Spiderman could use some health
I think maybe like 50-100 hp would make him feel just right. I dunno how that impacts his counterplay by Namor's summons though. I don't want them to lose effectiveness. I do think he needs more survivability though. Often you'll go to engage just to die by the time you're in range to do anything. Maybe a small temporary shield or something, I honestly dunno.
  1. Wolverine's Feral Leap hitbox should be bigger.
I'm not a pro, but it feels sooo janky. There's been times I'm practically inside the enemy and it randomly doesn't pick them up. I don't think he needs any tuning, just this specific ability still feels really bad to use.
  2. Scarlet Witch's main fire should be tighter but slightly stronger.
As she is now, you practically don't even need to look at your target to hit them. I'd tighten the hitbox a good bit, and compensate that by upping the damage a bit. She's a pain at lower ranks because she's easy to hit with, but lacks at higher ranks because she's too telegraphed with her ultimate. I think you could find a middle ground there by increasing the skill ceiling of her main attack but also it's damage to reward skilled play under pressure. Maybe even keep the damage but give it an execute threshold. Her ultimate is widely telegraphed, but I think coordinated play can still make it very powerful to pull off.
  1. Captain America should have more Vibranium Energy Saw charges imo.
This one I admit I'm way out of my element with, I still don't get how people use this guy effectively lol. That being said, I feel like he'd feel better if he got an extra shield toss charge. Even if the base damage goes down to compensate, I feel having an extra ranged throw would help lock in his kit a bit, letting you harass targets from a moderate distance better, and to help clean up stragglers that you really feel like you should've been able to.
Again just want to reiterate i am no professional, so some of these may seem blasphemous lol. Anyone with more repertoire feel free to chime in and explain your thoughts on these from a more competitive perspective!

2025.01.18 19:38 misses_mop Scar Endometriosis.

So, here's my story.
It's been nearly 2yrs. since I first started having symptoms during my period. I had a tugging pain near my C-section scar, whenever I coughed. It took about 4 months before I realised something wasn't normal. I rang my GP and was offered a nurse appointment. I was kind of dismissed. I booked another appointment, this time more adamant that they investigate my issue.
After I did some research my symptoms pointed towards Scar endometriosis. Something that is apparently rare and can occurs years after a c-section. (It can happen in other surgical scars but a C-section scar is the most common)
●My youngest was 3 (at the time my symptoms started) and delivered via emergency C-section. ●I've had 2 emergency C-Sections in total. ●Cyclical pain near scar.
I let the nurse know these things. I was sent for an Ultrasound. In the notes the nurse wrote 'patient thinks she has endometriosis.' I was pissed because she didn't mention any of the details I'd told her. However, they only scanned my uterus and ovaries. When I offered to point to where I experienced pain, they dismissed me. My ultrasound results were recorded as 'normal'
I returned to the GP again and they referred me to gynaecology. This was 40 weeks ago.
Once again, I visited the GP (there's been a lot of appointments) I was offered the birth control pill to stop my periods and in extension, stop the pain (I had my fallopian tubes surgically removed in 2021 for sterilisation because birth control negativity affected my already poor mental health) I refused the birth control pill because I knew that even if I could successfully take it, if I stopped the pain, I'd become less motivated to get it investigated and resolved. When I don't have my period, I actually forget about the pain until it returns. ADHD.
Over the last year, my pain has increased near my C-section scar and it has even spread in the direction towards my left hip. I have to hold and brace myself to cough. Now, not only does it hurt when I cough, but when I stand up, sit down, laugh or any other activities that use stomach muscles. (Any C-section mams will be familiar with the pain linked to stomach muscles)
I was fed up of waiting about so 2 months ago, I asked my doctor if she could get any more scans done, while I waited for a gynaecologist appointment. She referred me for another ultrasound. This time she wrote in the notes that they were to scan the area I feel the pain. The results from my ultrasound were 'normal'.
I honestly felt deflated over the whole situation. I know I'm not going crazy. I can feel it.
Over Christmas time, the pain amped up so bad that it hurts going over speed bumps, in a car. The pain, at this point, starts day 2 of my cycle and fades away about 8-10 days after my period stops.
I returned to the GP. At this point, I was requesting to see the same GP each time, to avoid repeating myself to different professionals. Also, this GP made me feel heard. I asked if there was anyway she could speed along my Gynaecologist appointment because the pain was getting worse and I was scared that the longer it was left the harder it would be to resolve. It shouldn't take 40 weeks to see a health professional (NHS waiting lists)
2 days later I received a 1st class letter for an appointment with a gynaecologist. Yey!
Today was my appointment. Let me tell you I went in there ready to fight my cause. I was done being dismissed and I was going to advocate for myself. I went in, sat down, went over my symptoms. She asked about my history, sat back and said, "I think you have scar endometriosis." Like a balloon, I deflated. But, in a good way. A weight was lifted off my chest and I felt seen and heard. I didn't have to fight. I cried!
The gynaecologist did an internal exam and felt my belly to rule out a hernia and referred me for an MRI. I shall update when I get the scan and results.
I guess my positivity comes from the fact I've finally been heard and the ball is rolling. I knew the ultrasounds weren't going to find anything, even the ultrasound technicians told me this. I've read everywhere that an MRI is the best way to diagnose scar endometriosis. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wrote 'scar endometriosis' in the title so my post is found when people search for 'scar endometriosis' specifically. There's a lot of of stuff online about endometriosis and case studies on both endometriosis and scar endometriosis, but, not necessarily a lot of first hand experiences of scar endometriosis.

2025.01.18 19:38 Faduzin Help me find please

So what I remember is that the protagonist had a sword that took him to another world, and he went there to train. He met a girl whom he fell in love with, and when she got sick, he returned to the modern world to find a cure for her. Then he went back, and another guy with a different sword found him and fought him. They ended up going to his world together, and it turned out that this guy was trying to steal the protagonist's sword because his had lost its power. When they returned to the other world, the guy killed the protagonist's beloved, and the story continues...

2025.01.18 19:38 Impossible-Year-1238 does it ever get any better.

i'm seven episodes into season 1 and the acting is beginning to GRIND on my nerves. i don't know if this is a common thing between shows like the OC (like with gilmore girls, gossip girl, one tree hill) etc because i don't watch them. i just finished watching twd and before that i was binging breaking bad, so i know it's not fair to compare them. but oh my god. the acting in this genuinely makes me want to quit the show.
the characters are fine, they're likable enough, but tbh the only thing keeping me rooted here are sandy and kirsten because i genuinely think they're two lovely, insanely likeable characters with great chemistry and acting. but when every episode features marissa crying her heart out when the actress can't really hold that up 😭 it's rough.
i don't want to sound mean or anything because i don't even think mischa barton or any of the others are bad actors. i've seen them in another stuff and it seems to be JUST THIS SHOW where they're all so wooden. it's infuriating. please tell me it gets better as the show goes on.

2025.01.18 19:38 ADHDoodler_24 A Cautionary Tale about Rexulti

I want to share a story about someone very close to me and their unusual experience on Rexulti, on the off chance that it could help someone else.
This person has suffered from significant mental illness - depression, anxiety, OCD, suicidal ideation - and they have been on a number of medications, one of which is Rexulti. This medication was used to manage depression and intrusive thoughts, and initially it was very helpful in pulling this person out of a dark place.
However, despite their best efforts, they were only making very slow progress towards wellness over the course of several years. They suffered from brain fog, low motivation, low mood, and even developed tremors which were deemed by a neurologist to be “stress related”. The tremors were so significant that they were put on a beta blocker and were going to need a left-foot accelerator pedal installed in their car since they had such poor motor control over their right foot.
Last summer, through a prescription-filling error, they were forced to reduce their Rexulti dose from 1mg/day to .5mg/day for a little while.
The change in their mood, energy level, intellectual capacity, and motivation was sudden and striking. Within days they were able to hold long conversations, engage in activities for enjoyment, and complete tasks of daily living that had long been a nearly insurmountable chore (showering, cleaning their space, etc). They said they felt like they had their brain back.
Their tremors have calmed down substantially and are no longer negatively impacting their life - they will not need the left-foot accelerator pedal, and may even be able to go off of the beta blocker.
The improvement has continued for many months and is only getting better as they have lowered their dose again (now at .25mg/day). They purchased plane tickets and flew by themselves to visit a friend for a week, which was a stunning development. They are able to picture a future for themselves that would have seemed impossible a year ago.
We are all different in how we respond to medication, and I don’t want to suggest that this person’s experience is representative of how others respond to Rexulti. But seeing how life-altering the side effects were and how much they mimicked ongoing depression, I thought it was worth sharing the story.
Of course, if you or someone you love is currently being prescribed Rexulti, please don’t change your dosage without consulting a healthcare professional. It’s easy to imagine how increased motivation combined with ongoing ideation could lead to a very bad outcome.
