2025.01.18 19:33 agirlcalled_chaos The Pill vs managed diet/exercise/supplements etc
Hi there, it's my first post so please be nice :) I've struggled with PCOS for years, but only got the diagnosis a couple of years ago. I have found the pill has always worked well for me, but finding people are saying it's not good at actually solving the problem. I've tried a variety of diets and exercise routines online, and different supplements, but have not seen any results. Should I continue with the pill, or does anyone have any advice on how to persist with solving it naturally? Thank you :)

2025.01.18 19:33 Howdysf It’s funny how most of the entire Food Network talent pool are basically Top Chef alumni.
I mean, good for them, but it’s funny that their entire talent pool has been poached from top Chef with the exception of some of the OG food network people.

2025.01.18 19:33 Yurii_S_Kh The Parable of the Widow and the Judge
https://preview.redd.it/16cjunya0tde1.png?width=872&format=png&auto=webp&s=cdd4c4e0e9a11e2a3ff35da066775a192ebe1e8e1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; 2 saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: 3 and there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. 4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; 5 yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. 6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. 7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? 8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?Today's Gospel reading, dear brothers and sisters, touches on the theme of bold prayer that saves from discouragement. The Savior teaches how to pray by telling the parable of the unjust judge, who did not want to fulfill the request of the wronged widow and protect her from her rival, but nevertheless fulfilled it only because she pestered him, giving him no peace. In those days, all common litigation and disputes among the Jews were settled in the court of elders, and not in the open court of the people. If, according to Jewish law, a case was submitted to an arbitration tribunal, it was decided not by one person, but at least by three persons: one was appointed by the plaintiff, another by the defendant, and the third was independent of either one or the other. The judge referred to in the parable was in the public service, that is, appointed by Herod or the Romans. Such judges were notorious. Whoever did not have good connections or money to bribe the judge and bend the decision in his favor, had little hope for a positive resolution of his case. The widow symbolizes all the poor and defenseless. It is obvious that without means and connections she could not get justice for her case. But in speaking of the widow, Christ shows the power of persistent pleading among men. She achieves what she needs even though her situation seems utterly hopeless. She has no means to pay this judge, much less bribe him. But by her pestering, she eventually defeats him. She achieves the truth, not because of the judge's righteousness or his capacity for compassion, but solely because of her relentlessness. When the Savior finished telling the parable, he said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge says?” (Luke 18:6). If he, being unrighteous, nevertheless protected the unfortunate widow who asked him for protection, will God not protect His chosen ones who cry to Him day and night, though He is slow to protect them? I tell you that He will give them protection soon (Lk. 18, 7-8). It is interesting that this parable uses the same technique as the parable of the friend who went in at midnight. Both there and here Christ does not draw a parallel between God and the dishonorable judge, but contrasts God with the unrighteous judge. If the unrighteous judge had to yield to the widow, the more righteous God will intercede for those who turn to Him unceasingly. Boris Ilyich Gladkov notes: “So, if there is no room for doubt, there is no room for discouragement. The believer must pray, firmly believe in the possibility of receiving what is asked for, make himself worthy of it by his deeds, that is, become as if chosen, and never be discouraged if what is asked for is not given soon. I tell you,” says Christ, ”that He will give them protection soon." But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth? (Lk. 18, 8). In spite of the undoubted truth that God will protect His elect soon, will He find faithful ones who will have such constancy and perseverance in prayer as is required? Alexander Pavlovich Lopukhin explains, “Christ seems to say, ‘It is already certain that the Son of Man will come to help the faithful and punish the unbelievers.’ But the question is, will He find much more faith in Himself coming the second time than He found at His first coming to earth?"” But Christ does not say that He will find little faith in the midst of Christianity, but depicts in general the condition of mankind, 'faith on earth'.” With these words, dear brothers and sisters, the Lord wants to convey the following message: one should never be discouraged, but only pray with deep faith. Faith is the most important thing that Christ seeks on earth. The Lord desires the salvation of every man, but our salvation requires our participation, and God expects it from us. May God help us in this! Source: online TV channel Soyuz submitted by Yurii_S_Kh to SophiaWisdomOfGod [link] [comments] |

2025.01.18 19:33 Calm-Phase-7210 Need Recommendations for Installing an Oil-Fired Furnace and Goodman 4-Ton AC in CT
I’m looking to install an oil-fired Conforto furnace and a Goodman 4-ton AC system (including a cased coil, lineset, condenser, and pad for the outdoor unit) in my home in Connecticut. The quote I received includes adapting the existing electrical and ductwork, disposal of old equipment, permits, labor, and taxes.
Does anyone have experience with similar installations in CT? What’s a reasonable cost range for this type of work, and do you have any recommendations for reliable HVAC contractors in the area?
Thanks in advance for your insights!

If you're nervous about waiting til 02/07 for repayment, I could do $100 on 1/24 and $100 on 2/07. Thanks for reading.

2025.01.18 19:33 ElongatedMuskrat_007 Not Grasping Tandem Read
Hi all!
First time read of the ToG series. Currently about 75% of the way through of the tandem read, so no spoilers please!! While I’m enjoying reading both books, I’m having a hard time understanding why I’m exactly doing this. I know these books take place at the same time, but I’m struggling to see how everything is going to intertwine and make sense. Having a hard time explaining because I’m also giving myself grace because maybe it will all come together in the end. But I’m not seeing/understanding why I did the tandem read quite yet.
Just looking for maybe more understanding of the significance that I may have missed!

2025.01.18 19:33 Relevant_Horse2066 Corey Kispert Pts+Ast+Reb 13.5 Over. With Injuries on Wizards he gets more P+A+R. In last 2 vs Warriors he is averaging 19. He went over the line 11/15 times and is averaging 16.2 in L5 games. With warriors lineup being decimated by injuries this should be a solid pick.
