Hi all! I’ve had rhinitis all my life and I moved a couple of years ago to a place with winter. In the past I began producing a lot of mucus when I was outdoor during winter which I thought was normal. I changed allergy meds like three times this year and this winter I have mucus non stop even when I’m indoors and it all started in the Fall when the weather became colder. Also this year I started having episodes when even when I’m indoors I cannot breathe, it’s like I cannot expand my lungs to catch air, they are very scary episodes. And they are more frequent when I have to go out in cold days, so I suppose the cold worsens them. I don’t feel sick or anything and I’ve had like 7 episodes in total all since weather became colder in the fall. I went to the doctor and he gave me albuterol and told me to use it if I cannot breathe and asked to go back for testing if the issue persisted after winter but this is scary and I’ve never been diagnosed with asthma so I don’t know.
My symptoms before the episodes are: - I begin producing a lot more of mucus than usual and also phlegm which makes it even more difficult to breathe -I might be talking like usual and suddenly lose my voice, or it becomes really hoarse -I might have a headache and my heart races -I don’t have the typical wheezing so I don’t know if it’s possible to not have that and have asthma Then I cannot breathe, I feel confused and I cannot exhale properly or expand my lungs to catch air.
Albuterol helps me, if it’s asthma it’s not severe I guess, I often need like at max 3 pumps, but I live in a cold place so I’ve been scared to go outside since November. This is new to me and I feel like I’ve not received proper care.
Do the symptoms sound like asthma? What should I do now? Should I see another doctor?

I was told this sword belonged to my 2nd great grandfather who was a Captain in the Union Army during the Civil War. I believe he was a cavalry officer but might have served in other roles as well. This doesn't look like anything I find when I search for civil war swords, and reverse image searching doesn't find anything similar. Any idea if it is real and if this sword was specifically used by cavalry officers or anything like that?
