2025.01.19 02:26 darned_dog Umbra is awful is and is a downgrade in terms of Spoiler mode Combat
This is a rant about how Umbra is the worst frame for spoiler mode.
I tried running Arcane Trickery using Vazarin's Void snare. I thought, okay, with Melee Crescendo, I get combo, invis, and I can have a functioning build for survival since I don't like running Helminth abilities due to being RP-focused.
Lo and behold, switching to spoiler mode takes off my invis too, making Umbra the worst frame in my arsenal to play using spoiler mode, especially for a Void Snare + Arcane Trickery non-tank build.
If I run his mod to remove sentience, I can't run PSF because of mod space constraints.
Why is he so frustratingly designed? He's strong as hell with the augments but still as tanky as a wet paper and not usable in the least for spoiler mode.
Can we please have this fixed?
TLDR: Having to use this bandaid solution mod for a frame that is canon for me frustrates me to no end.

I don't know what is wrong with the matchmaking algorithm in this game, but it seems absolutely broken. Starting at Bronze III, it always seems like you're either rolling, or getting rolled. You're smashing the other team, or you're getting smashed. It's the highest highs and the lowest lows, and it just gets exhausting after a while.
One round I'll go 30-5 or 40-10, along with all my teammates. And then the next round it's almost impossible to get a kill.
I've never spent more time losing than in Marvel Heroics, and it isn't a skill issue as many of you are right now tempted to reply. I have some amazing games, as do we all, but however the game pairs together players is just senseless.
