if any of you use spotify on your computer at all, when you go to your profile it has the top 50 tracks of the month. i'm guessing they use the same method they do to calulate top 100 songs, but i know mine are so off??? they have three songs that i've listened to ONCE just bc i wanted to know where a certain part of the song is within the whole song, but in that logic if they're only putting songs i've played once, those shouldn't even be in my top 50 lol, i've definitely played some songs more than once and they're not there!!! i'm so confused like whaaat

Hello, just posting here since I want to know. Myself (28) lives in a caravan park with my partner (28) and we have a kid (5) who doesn't live with us due to mental health reasons and is in foster care (It'll be relevant later).
There's a group of boys who keep running through behind the cabins and making alot of noise playing and such. It's been getting alot mentally for myself since the rooms is the only place I can get peace a quit since i can also hear people talking from the front, its the only place I can fit my pc set up. These kids get really loud to the point headphones don't drown them out. We also had an email sent out middle of last year telling parents "Parents are also reminded to keep an eye on where your children are, they are your responsibility.
They are not supposed to play around other tenant cabins, people are entitled to their peace."
So everytime I've seen the kids there I have been nice and asked them to move on, there is a huge grass area out front they can play in. Today I finally snapped with the mental loud I have going on plus screaming from the kids, so I popped my head out and raised my voice a little and accidentally said the word "fuck". I did suggest to them to play one the big grass area out front and that their parents should know better for letting them play in between cabins like that. So I wasn't telling them not to stop playing, just wanting them to go somewhere more appropriate.
They left and then their parents came up. I knew the mother of this parent and even the father came up and started yelling at me calling me "fat" and "gay" and said if "you want equal rights and lefts you should come out of the cabin" and that "they aren't your kids so don't parent them" . He left and I tried explaining to the mother that it's too much noise for me and I'm not expecting them to stop being kids but just to move it on. And even said there was an email sent out that says kids shouldn't be playing between cabins. Her excuses were "i was watching them" and "its a community you got to accept this stuff" and "you have a kid, kids are just being kids". She then left but came back a few minutes later going off saying I abused her child and that according to child safety it's abuse and she knows because she worked with child safety and how dare I abuse a child like that. Like throwing my child safety shit in my face making it seem like I'm a horrible person who needs to be calm all the time and not dare accidentally swear at a kid. (I called Queensland police and filed a report. They said it's not child abuse to accidentally swear at a child.)
So am I the asshole?

2025.01.19 04:20 Ambitious-Bat5724 As a dependent, am I not allowed to leave an overseas base for a few months?
Here the TL;DR version: currently stationed in Europe, spouse is getting deployed for 5-6 months. My mental health is shit and I need to go home back to the states for a bit. I’ve been told if I go home for that long, I could lose command sponsorship and our on base housing. I will be looking into this but I’m hoping anyone here might have some advice.

I was in an IT company and generally saw people not telling where they are going to join until the day of joining. Was just wondering why would they do that? Honestly i also did that when i was leaving, but it was because i was afraid that my VP may hinder my movement and give negative feedback to HR as I was leaving at peak work period. But I think that is dumb to think that he will go out of his way to ruin my career.
What are the other possible reasons that people have for keeping it a secret?

I grew up in Detroit. East side. My childhood was filled with losing season after losing season. We were poor and I went to one game my entire childhood - thanksgiving 1968 my dad was given tickets. Rained like a monsoon and they lost to the Eagles 12-0 on 4 field goals. Another time, I watched (on TV) as Len Barney looked up as Dempseys field goal cleared the bars. It was always that way A couple wild card wins and one division IIRC.
There’s been injured players, promising careers cut short, horrible coaches, a toxic culture and dashed hope after dashed hope. But I gotta say, nothing hurts like this one. A team with chemistry, talent and a coach you just gotta love. It was their year and we all knew it.
Yeah, this is “how it goes” in sports and in life, but this one just breaks my heart.

Hi, I just got a kitchen aid kf-6 (first superautomatic) I love it so far. I know that only the kf-8 has the plant based milk option in the setting but I was hoping the kf-6 to still make it froth. I got an insane deal in marketplace, I bought it for 380$ brand new, so I had to take it paying 2k for the kf-8 wasn’t an option. Has anyone being able to make plant based milk froth in kf-6 or kf-7?

2025.01.19 04:20 Rkitekt01 Just completed the Skidder set, Pneumatics are leaking.
Wanted to see if anyone has built this set and had a similar issue. I got the hoses connected as fully as I can, but can hear a popping/hissing when moving the parts around. Exhaust pipe, I’m assuming, acts as a pump to prime the system, but that also causes the leak noise.
Not a huge deal - didn’t know it was pneumatic before buying - but for the price I would’ve expected it to hold air properly.

 | Got all the way to the point of removing the hub. But it's 14 years old it's the original hub, and it just doesn't want to budge. I've tried, 5 lb sludge, and and hitting it from behind the hub to knock it off. I've used PB lubricant.
