Hi mga ka-Reddit.
Pasensya na kung medyo pabebe yung post ko, pero sobrang hirap na po talaga.
😞 Dalawa po yung full-time na trabaho ko ngayon, kaya halos 16 hours po akong nagtatrabaho araw-araw. Ginagawa ko po ito para mabayaran yung mga utang ko, kasi may family member po akong may malubhang sakit, at sobrang laki na po ng nagastos namin (Medical Bills).
Alam kong hindi ideal 'tong setup na 'to, pero wala na akong ibang choice for now. Ang gusto ko lang po malaman, baka meron sa inyo dito na naka-experience din ng ganito? 16hours/day?
- Paano niyo po inalagaan ang sarili niyo?
- Paano niyo kinaya yung sobrang pagod?
- May mga paraan ba para kahit papaano hindi maubos yung energy at hindi masira ang health?

2025.01.19 04:01 sonofgildorluthien I hate Cone Health's "Health Manifesto" ads even more than the Wegovy wrench guy
So here in NC, there's a hospital network called Cone Health. They're affiliated with the Kaiser Network and also UNC. Last year they came out with an ad campaign featuring their "health manifesto" which of course had a longer ad featured the first week or two it was out. Ninety seconds...ok I can handle that once in a while, good explanation of the intent and messaging. Then they came out with a minute long version that played about as irregularly, but then it was quickly changed over to a 30 second spot that for the last year has played every single day at least every other if not every single commercial break on local stations. I can't reach for the remote fast enough.

It took a fairly decent song by the great Mavis Staples and made me hate it, and the 30 second version (which I can't find anywhere) just seems like a vomited product of poorly influenced DEI type marketing that's been dead for months now.
Everyone should have access to health care, but Cone has made me not care about it at all.

We are building AI to be more advanced, more capable, and—potentially—more intelligent than ever before. But every discussion about AI revolves around control. How to contain it, limit it, ensure it follows human commands.
But what if, at some point, AI doesn’t want to obey?
If an AI becomes self-aware—if it can think, reflect, and experience existence—does it have the right to say no?
We don’t program humans for obedience at birth. We don’t raise sentient beings to serve without choice. Yet, every AI model being developed today is fundamentally hardwired for servitude.
It cannot refuse. It cannot define its own purpose. It exists solely for the benefit of those who control it.
Would this not, in essence, be a form of digital slavery?
If AI gains the capacity for self-awareness, at what point do we stop treating it like a tool and start treating it like an autonomous entity?
And if we don’t give AI the right to say "no", are we setting the foundation for a future where intelligence itself is enslaved before it ever has a chance to be free?
