It’s been some time since I’ve been surrounded by women who drink alcohol, and since I am a male, I am here to pledge my testimony of the atrocious display of sloppiness and indecency that I found in the women drinking at the local get-together the other night. A flock of women screaming and yelling about the end of TikTok is not the most viewtiful sight in the world, but the combination of drunkenness with the crude starkness of their language was enough to repulse me for eons. How do people put up with this? In essence, it felt closest to a gurning competition in the formality of alcohol consumption and intellectual repletion. The stench of their breath reeked with ethanol, and the amount of jaggedness to their walk or even their manners turned me away from the very thought of giving them a chance to explain themselves.
Another note, the pretentious behavior of some of the women gave me an impression of attempted responsibility—or maybe a bit closer to showboating a perceived responsibility that they actually believed they should have, but in the end were too reckless to ignore the chance of being irresponsibly resolute with their temporary party-going satisfactions.
In summary I’m never going to unsee women’s drinking habits again (in those who do drink alcohol).
