I’m (30F) feeling conflicted about breaking up with a friend (30M) who I have known for 8 years, and who I considered one of my best friends for a long time. We met in grad school and hit it off immediately. We instantly connected over our shared cultural heritage and direct personalities. He quickly began to confide in me about personal details in his life after he asked me for a drink after class, and was very vulnerable with me about his family issues and sexuality (he’s openly gay).
Overall he is a very loud, outspoken, and funny guy and we used to party together a lot. We used to talk on the phone for hours and we even travelled together to a few destinations. All that began to slowly change when I noticed that he began to struggle with his mental health a few years after we had already graduated and have been working in our industry full-time. I increasingly began to notice that he had selfish tendencies and was actually quite judgemental, and a few of our mutual friends noticed this about him as well. Over the past year and a half he has been incredibly unhappy because of his work environment and I suspect that he’s struggling with anxiety and depression that is not being managed well. It’s gotten to a point where he has become unpleasant to hang out with because there have been a few occasions where he showed up to our hang out where he took his anger and frustration out on me, which I don’t think is cool. I’m always here for my friends when they’re having a bad day and need to vent but I draw the line at being their personal punching bag. Something that we used to really enjoy doing together was going to dinner at different restaurants, but even this is no longer enjoyable with him since he has often showed up to dinner in a bad mood and has been rude to waiters and complained non-stop about the food.
Since 2020, there have also been several instances where he said something insulting or degrading towards me to my face that I swiftly called him out for. Each time I let him know that what he said upset me, he would apologize and I would forgive him. (One example of an incident like this was when I moved into a new apartment in December 2020 and he told me my home is a “shithole”). On top of this there have been moments where I felt he was envious of me, and he would make little passive aggressive jabs to knock me down a few pegs.
The straw that broke the camels back was when he completely dropped the ball on my 30th birthday after we had just celebrated his 30th a few months ago, and organized a group gift for an Apple Watch that we knew he wanted. For my birthday, I had organized a backyard party at my house and he showed up egregiously late (it started at 4pm and he showed up at 9pm) because he told me that he had “two other birthday parties to go to”. When I had spoken to him earlier that week he told me that the invites for those parties came in after I had sent out mine and both were for people he hadn’t known as long as he knew me so the fact that he prioritized those birthday’s over mine did sting. On top of that, the gift that he organized for me was 50% off on a tattoo with the artist I frequently see even though we had gotten him an Apple Watch. For context, I’m covered in tattoos and going to get one is not something I consider special or sentimental at this point in time. It’s not even about the evident difference of the monetary value between the gifts, it’s about the lack of thought and effort that went into reciprocating a gift for a milestone birthday.
After my birthday had passed I had a conversation with him about how it upset me that he showed up so late for my party, and he told me “I knew I would disappoint somebody that day and that person just happened to be you. And I’m sorry for that.” I accepted the apology to be the bigger person but then and there I knew it was time to stop putting effort into this friendship. As the summer rolled on, I wasn’t reaching out and he noticed - sending me a text at one point saying “haven’t been seeing you around much lately”.
Over the past couple months, I’ve been hastily agreeing to sporadic hangouts but each time we meet up all he does is complain about his job and show up in a bad mood. We used to discuss politics and current events together and now it’s difficult to have a conversation about those topics because he just gets very angry and bitter.
I’m finally at that point where as much as I’d like to see him through this rough patch in his life and hope his mental health improves, I’m ready to sit him down and let him know that I don’t feel the same connection between us as friends like I used to and that I haven’t been reaching out as much because I feel like he projects his anger and misery towards me when we hang out and that doesn’t feel good. I want to tell him that we have outgrown this friendship and that we should go our separate ways.
I would appreciate any insight on this! Is this the right move? Let me know.

Hi all!
Been having issues with a new edge 540 and the current gen speed sensor. Randomly during my rides the sensor will drop reading from like 17-19mph down to 7-9 and then a moment later back up, and will keep doing it the entirety of my ride.
I have tried the following to resolve with no success:
Replacing the battery Manual wheel diameter calibration Forgot then re-added sensor. Forgot, reset, re-added sensor.
Any ideas? I'm a bit pissed off. I never had this issue with the last gen of speed sensors or the edge 530 (I can't go back, they were stolen).

During dialysis they set of fluid extraction at 2 or 3 because cramps. Today I didn't say anything and didn't react to the cramping all over. I finally made it to #4 after 2 months on dialysis. Two months ago I didn't know anything about kidneys, dialysis, renal diet and any of this. Got tubes coming out of my chest they say they go to my HeartI still have to have surgery to get a dialysis hookup in my arm because if the chest tubes get infected it's probably gonna be bad. I still have a lot to learn.

My partners 2021 Prius XLE needs a spare tire. We can't do this with the tire inflation kit it comes with. I know the LE comes with a compact spare.
I want to get a spare for her XLE that fits where the LE has it in the trunk. Which means I either need
- LE foam packers that hopefully fits the XLE for the tire storage
- Modify the XLE packers for spare tires.
Other options is that we do have one of the 17" good tire that could be mounted on a 17" rim as a full size spare but not sure if it would fit in the factory storage area

Brand new to this group. Diagnosed with Grave's disease almost 2 years ago, with antibodies for both hyper- and hypothyroidism. I have been taking medication for hyperthyroidism, and over time I've needed less and less. I now take a small dose. I've been told I will eventually end up with hypothyroidism and stay that way. I would have to take medication for that also. But, I recently read lots of information saying that this flip only happens to about 20% of people with both antibodies.
Does anyone out there have experience with this?
