I (32F) finally watched Wicked last night. It was nice, but the young women next to me was audibly singing along with the songs. The cinema was full, and it was actually really annoying hearing her singing when I wanted to focus on the movie. It was trying to work up the courage to tell her to stop, but she seemed like she was a really big Wicked fan and I didn't want to be coming off at mean...

When it comes to a series, I almost always read the manga before I watch the anime, but I was curious about Slam Dunk (hell, I've been curious since it was initially a hit back in the 90's) and had nothing else on my plate, so I thought I'd give it a go. I've never really watched a sports based anime before, and I was really surprised at how much I liked it... but Sakuragi just never toned it down as the series went on. It went from funny in the beginning to becoming insufferable as the anime neared the end (I'm currently on episode 99), and I find myself struggling to get through these last episodes. I thought by now he surely would have become more of a team player.
I know the last canon episode is when Hanamichi and Haruko go out to get new basketball shoes, and I'll read the last 4 tankobon after I finish the show because I can't leave something hanging like that, but man... He's like a dialed up Naruto. Do you guys wish he showed more growth or are you satisfied with his character development?
Also should I watch the movie afterward or wait till I've finished the manga?
