2025.01.19 09:10 CapnBloodbeard LR not showing GPS data from phone images (it was before!)
I have a large number of images on my phone I'm trying to import into LR Classic.
I downloaded some from Google Photos, imported them, and LR correctly read the location data and showed that in metadata.
But, that phone gallery is too big. I ended up deleting them from LR, and copying them directly from my phone via USB.
Now, the location data isn't there. Even though I used the same metadata preset.
Any ideas?

Hello, I'm not in the military, but I have a government job which will see me moving to a base overseas in March for a period of 3 years. I have a rough idea of what to expect in terms of housing (quite a large house, with pretty basic furniture, painted in magnolia). I have furniture in the UK at the moment, so I'm trying to decide what to take with me and what to leave behind.
I'm very grateful for the free accommodation, but I do want to ensure that my home looks andvfeels nice (3 years is a long time!). Does anyone please have any tips or reflections on how to turn an SFA from a house into a "home"? I'm particularly interested in how much of your own furniture you think it's good to take, what the least attractive pieces of military issue furniture are, and any tips on how you made your place look nice, e.g. rugs, pictures, soft furnishings etc.
Any pictures you have of your SFA housing (if you're allowed to share) would be much appreciated.
I'd be happy to paint and re paint before I leave.

I think I am starting to become an alcoholic. I mean, I am not sober creating this post. I know I should get on top of it before it becomes a problem, but I have tried many different ways of getting on top of it and I continue to be unsuccessful. failed CBT, and it seems a lot of other therapists don't want to work with me because "NAME is too self-aware" <--(based off of the documentation I requested). I want to get on it before it becomes a lifelong problem, but also I think I am in a bad spot especially cuz idk where to go from here. I have been un-sober for 10 nights straight and I don't know what to do

I started a subscription for a von in November and cancelled after I started the free trial so it wouldn't renew. I kept using it until the day before it expired and deleted the app in December. On the 17th of January I was charged £44.99 for a year of the subscription which I cancelled. The subscription wasn't showing in my active subscriptions either. I requested a refund but apple denied me and then after I explained in more detail they still declined. I'm going through my bank to sort it out now. Is there anything else I can do?
