Hello friends! I'm moving to Gili Trawngan soon and I'm so exited! I'm bringing my cat with me, and I'm wondering what the best way to bring him in is (aside from paperwork, that I have figured out I think 🤣🤣), I know its not allowed through Bali, does anyone have any advice?
Also I'd love to meet some new friends local and foreign! I'm coming to dive and I love art and music, I play guitar and would love to meet some artsy and musician friends :)
I'm trying to learn some Bahasa before arriving, do you have any online resources you recommend? Or any local centers that teach language once I'm there?

Last summer when I was living with my dad, I'd get to go with my mom for the summer but my sisteds birthday is a month in the summer so i took a week to stay at my dads we (me, the birthday girl and sister2) took our mattresses and moved them into birthdaygirl's room the time was overall fun but the thing was I was having auditory hallucinations the whole time I was in her room, I have them occasionally when I'm in my room but that whole week all I heard was my dad yell my name from downstairs, or id hear a vague hint of his voice like he was yelling and the tv we were watching was so loud we couldnt hear downstairs, so, when i stopped my sisters in the middle of their track and went "do you hear daddy calling for us?" they both were like "no??" and at certain times id get anxious that hed come upstairs and be super mad at us for some reason and hurt us both in a rational and irrational way (ptsd) but nobody else heard him but me :/ the odd thing was that be rarely called me like that, it was either my step mom or hed call/text me on my phone
i still have auditory hallucinations, i just dont get why they were so bad that week

I recently got a nice Lenovo P14s 2nd Gen, but it came without a smart card reader. Since part of my job involves regularly using digital signatures, having a smart card reader is essential. Without one, I have to rely on a USB reader. While that works, having an internal smart card reader would be far more convenient and professional.
So, I purchased a smart card reader and opened my laptop to install it. However, I quickly realized there’s a problem—the ribbon cable on the reader is completely different from what is supposed to go in the connector on the motherboard.
I’ve attached pictures of the smart card reader, the connector on the motherboard where it should be installed, and two other ribbon cables for comparison.
My question is:
Would replacing just the ribbon cable be enough to connect the reader? The current ribbon on the reader is narrower, but the connector seems to allow for a wider one.
Or would it make more sense to buy a new smart card reader with the correct cable?
For context, ribbon cables alone are quite expensive—around $16. Considering this, buying a smart card reader bundle from AliExpress for about $25 seems like a better option.

Hi everyone,
I’m in South Australia, and I’m dealing with a serious issue involving my former business partner. I’m hoping to get some advice on my situation.
I am a 50% owner of a business partnership with my business partner, who I will call Business Partner Stole $63,000 from the Joint Account. Foolishly i did not have dual authorisation enabled and he withdrew it all to his personal account. Our partnership agreement states that profits and expenses are to be shared equally.
This withdrawal was 98% of the account balance, leaving only $800. No prior communication or justification was provided for this withdrawal. The argument he will try to make is that it's to pay himself a salary. We both have withdrawn occasionally to pay ourselves for tasks over the last 1.5 years in business but draining the full account is unprecedented.
He claims the withdrawal was lawful and justified, but it's just blatant theft and the police won't help they say it's civil and my laywr said just mediation would cost $6,000 and to fight it in court is $30,000? Can he really just get away with this? It seems hopeless like there's no way I can recover what was taken.
Here are my questions:
- Am I correct in thinking this situation constitutes theft or embezzlement under South Australian law?
- Am I likely to be able to recover the legal costs I had to pay to take him to court? If I have to spend 30k to get back 30k it's all kind of pointless.
- How likely is it for the police to pursue charges in this case? Is there anything I can do to strengthen my case? I'd really like him to be criminally charged and not just civilly
- Are there any specific cases or precedents involving similar situations that I should reference if this goes to court?

I know lots of people on here will change their default fund and/or transfer to their SIPP’s where the funds are more flexible. But surely 95% of the UK population are sat in default funds completely unaware of what they are made up of, assuming they are doing as well as they can be?
The default funds vary by provider, but I think most have a fairly low equity portion, particularly for people who are early in their career. We realised my girlfriend’s pension was in a fund as low as 50% equities in her old job, how is this even legal for someone in their 20’s? You’d think the equity portion would be 100% until at least 40-50 given it can’t be accessed until later in life.
Are most people not suffering terribly due to the default funds, compared to being 100% global equities until later in life when it can be tailored down as you reach retirement age?
