I'm halfway through watching this on youtube and it does make some valid points, but largely I'm just thinking "yeahhh I love that bit!" 😆😆😆
Tbf I am the kind of person that just likes stuff and despite having a literature degree am not that "critical" of things that don't directly annoy me, but some things are just a matter of taste.
My husband doesn't really like the show for a lot of the reasons put forward (though he seems to have seen all of it?!?) E.g. focus on characterisation and emotional stuff, convoluted overarching plot as opposed to more episodic mysteries and... that's fine! Each to their own!
Sorry I don't even know why I'm posting this. I am enjoying the video and it is interesting. Just... some of us LIKE watching curly haired Benedict Cumberbatch stare into space and be mean to people for hours on end, ok?! 😅😅😅

2025.01.19 12:19 DuoDeb Can rabies or infections spread if someone bitten by a cat scratches another person with their nail?
This might sound strange, but I’m genuinely curious. If someone is bitten by a cat (possibly unvaccinated or stray) and later accidentally scratches another person with their nail, could there be a risk of rabies or some other infection spreading to the second person?
The person who was bitten by the cat has been taking their rabies vaccine routinely and has already received 4 injections. Would bacteria from the cat bite or saliva still possibly stay under the nail and cause an infection to the second person?
What precautions should both people take in this situation? Looking for medical or personal experience insights!

2025.01.19 12:19 Dtm_Enthusiast My thoughts on the game from just one play session
Its a promising game, i have to say. It doesnt seem like they intentionally cut corners, although i see some issues (minor or major) within the game. Some which i will mention here.
-Content is pretty limited (understandable due to beta state) -The sounds feel terrible to me and need a full overhaul by full release -The cars seem to loose control too easily and are almost impossible to recover from countersteering. It feels like its very front balanced by the brake bias, especially with heavier vehicles like the A290. The steering is also too sensitive -The vehicular assists dont seem to be changeable now and i think the reason for that is to help cover up tue flawed physics of the game which sucks because i usually dont play with any assists other than abs (none if the car doesnt have it stock) -The game seems to have issues binding controls on the menu even though the already binded keys and the controller work excellent -Some of the car models definetly reflect the "beta" structure. The wheels literally shapeshift right infront of your eyes once the rolling speed is over. The outside looks decent but i couldnt explore the inside due to bindings

How do we feel about minor spoilers?
I've been thinking that regarding acts 4-6, GGG should put them all out at once. Considering the problem that Jonathan brought up, that this would mean not having the content from those seasons for use in the endgame, maybe we could have some leagues that borrow content and themes from the acts, without actually putting out the rest of the campaign until they're finished?
So you know, with this idea we might end up seeing some content from the campaign before it's released, like perhaps the enemies and maybe a boss or two (not the act bosses though imho). I'm wondering what other people think of this idea? Would you really hate to see content from the campaign before you actually see it within the campaign?

2025.01.19 12:19 Live-Good1625 CS2 keeps on crashing - what can I do? HELP ME!
Hi guys & girls,
I have an annoying problem with cs2. It keeps crashing every single game. Sometimes up until 8 times during a competitive game.
The thing is, one year ago (when I started playing), it never crashed. Kept playing without any problem. Also, during my game play, it runs smoothly with a good fps on decent graphic settings.
My computer knowledge is 3/10, but have tried everything within my reach. Cleaned the computer, changed settings, put an extra fan on my desktop, re-installed the game, etc. Nothing helped.
My hardware; Inter(R) Core(TM) i5-8400 CPU @ 2,8GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070
I was wondering whether someone knows the key to the solution?

So I’m aware of the fact that the informal version of ‘you’ was dropped in English around the 17th century. I was wondering therefore how you would say ‘thank you’ to your partner, friends, children, etc. — since using ‘you’ would I assume be weird.
Was unsure where to post this (I’m a native speaker) so just went with here but if there’s a better sub let me know :)

Looking for a recommendation for an IAP to get. Got the no ads one, as well as the token auto clicker(don't really feel the need to get the diamond one)and chest booster, and thinking about making another small-ish purchase to give me a boost.
