Fireworks - no visual or audio when setting them off

When I find and use these firework bombs introduced with seaason 2, when I use them, I see zero visuals/adudio of them, no smoke, no explosion sound, nothing. My friends with me see it though.
My graphics settings are on Ultra with 2-3 things set on high. Already reloaded shaders, didn't help.
Any idea why I cannot see it?

Hello,
I recently installed a 5800x processor and an Arctic liquid freezer III 240 AIO.
My IDle temp is 38c but in windows if I do something for exemple only browsing the net it goes up to 60c. During Cinebench r23 multi core test it goes up to 80c( I think it is fine.) What do you think what causing the temp fluctuation.
My Arctic liquid freezer settings are:
Pump: Flat 65% all the time(this is the recommended AFAIK) VRM vent: Flat 60% The vents on the radiator: 60% until 60c, 60c - 70%, 70c - 80%, 80c - 100%
Well vented house(corsair 4000d with 2 intake vents and 1 outtake vents at the back.)
It is quite frustrating to go "very" high up during browsing and doing nothing basically.
My frined who has the same processor using Dark rock Slim air cooler and his temps goes up to 55-60c max during gaming. Idle temps low 30c

Call me crazy, but didn’t the two-finger spread - don’t be a pervert- once transition the app form standard to full screen, and two-finger pinch the opposite? Doesn’t that seem so much more intuitive and useful for a video player? I understand those actions most frequently are associated with zoom, but what do we want to do more often on YouTube? Zoom or flip to full/window screen?

NONE of those things are easy to do with a guitar in your hand, with an app that requires a tap to wake the controls, another tap to click the icon, a third tap to wake the controls because it misinterpreted your second tap, a 4th, a 5th…
I want a physical piece of hardware with a dial/wheel that I can use to scroll forward/backward. Other buttons to do obvious things - control volume, speed, loop start/stop points. This must exist. I realize I’m asking for something most would consider unnecessary/outdated. Hell, maybe there is a modern, in-app solution I am unaware of. Teach me!

2025.01.19 12:44 ShelwickSwim The sudden rise of low-effort dismissal - disaffection or disinfo?
It's no secret to anyone that there has been a vitriolic reaction to the Newsnation interview with Jacob Barber. I have a couple of observations on the nature of the first reaction to both the interview and the clips shown a couple of days ago. In a nutshell, it's an important moment to have a conversation about differentiating between substantiated scepticism and low-effort dismissal. In parallel, we need to emphasise the impossibility of differentiating low-effort disaffected posting and coordinated attempts to destabilise the conversation here.
The uniting character of first reactions to Barber has been attacks on physical characteristics. The promotional clip threads were flooded with 'bulging eyes' comments, accusations of him looking crazy, etc etc. This pattern has been repeated today with comments about the crash retrieval video - comments saying it looks 'faked by a ten year old' 'just an egg on a string' 'the floor looks like plasterboard' and so on. The quantity and immediacy of these posts has been astounding.
There are many genuine reasons to remain sceptical of the video, and of many of the characters promoting it. The video being provided by a separate, anonymous source for example. The way this is being promoted, with Newsnation, which appears to have a strong christian slant to its platform and a small news channel, appears to have an exclusivity deal on all of this, and is attempting to draw out 'groundbreaking' reports in a way which is highly suspicious. The promotion of 'Stargazer' as perhaps an opportunity to ask for money. Not to mention Corbell's reality TV posturing, Lue's previous dissemination (accidental or not) of faked photographs, and promotion of his book. Their 'cosying up' to Donald Trump Jr and the current administration is also hugely concerning, though I'm somewhat willing to dismiss this as getting in with the current administration is a necessity of single issue activism. However, all these remain very genuine reasons to have raised eyebrows.
However, we still have very strong reasons to give this latest development a fair hearing. The core of the reporting seems very strong, with corroboration of Barber's story from several other high level colleagues. His credentials appear in line. He is taking a massive professional risk to come out with a story like this, and appears to have been working with the more irreproachable players like Garry Nolan for a long time. He would have agreed to be debut'd alongside the retrieval footage, which is some benefit to it. More serious dissections of the footage in this forum seem to be finding it at least isn't completely unbelievable, so far (eg posts on the dust suppression, length of the cable, possible lack of receiving team for security etc). The video is likely short and unspecific because of DOPSER, if genuine.
We have to remember that if genuine, this report is a bell-whether for other first hand whistle blowers. They will be watching the reaction closely. Grounded scepticism is fine, but these low effort posts which have very quickly become endemic will be creating a hostile atmosphere for those whistleblowers. Wouldn't it be better to ensure they have an open minded reception, and then we can get their testimony to add to the evidence pile later? It is impossible to differentiate them from disinfo-agents, and calling them out as such does nothing to help, and only sows accusations of paranoia and infighting. Functionally, low-effort posts and disinfo are identical. They have already succeeded in massively distracting from Barber's actual, corroborated report and testimony - I have seen almost no discussion of it.
We should be thinking of ways to tackle these low effort dismissals as soon as possible - I'd encourage us to think of some ways in this thread. Some ideas, off the top of my head, are keeping interaction with them to a minimum, downvoting, and upvoting only grounded scepticism.

I have completed the majority of the coursework for the second BS (2 classes remaining, separate degree) and due to graduate May 2025 with the BSCE. Deeply concerned about the lack of call backs and interviews. Last interviewed at a career fair in 2023, and did not secure an internship in 2023 and 2024 but did do undergraduate research in 2024. Project clubs for CE absent and/or lacking until very recently. Experience in undergraduate is severely lacking as a result, and I don't know what I could add that isn't grossly exaggerated and/or fabricated outright. Particularly interested in revising the experience and project sections. Does anyone know if it's an issue if probiotics contain maltodextrin? One that comes to mind straight away is the popular Biome Relief by Activated Probiotics from Australia. This contains maltodextrin which I've read is harmful to the gut lining and also could be an issues for candida which frequently is an issue alongside SIBO. Anyone know anything about this?

I've trained multiple models throughout the past couple of months using google colab and Tensorlow addons. now, thanks to the recent update I literally can not use any of those models. right now I'm using the fallback runtime option, but I see that it will be deprecated mid-february. so what do I do now? my work of 2 years has just gone down the drain thanks to the update? I cant load in my models, so I cant evaluate them. I cant use them for my actual inference application, I cant train new ones because my architecture doesn't work.
