2025.01.19 14:25 Tasty-Tackle-4038 Do you trust a diagnosis to be the be-all, end-all explanation for your totality of symptoms?
I'm on the verge of diagnosis for a rare autoimmune disease. While I do not want this particular diagnosis, after three years having a diagnosis of any kind is welcome so we can start treatment for pain relief and brain damage prevention.
I just had a realization of doom. Sure, what if this is the correct diagnosis, but it's only the first one? What if there are more than one disease intermingled?
Has anyone gotten to that point? I see a lot have given up at the point where exensive testing is for things they do not have a prescription for. The doctors discourage testing further at this point. But I never take no for an answer for long. Should I continue to push even after they confirm this diagnosis?

Since I finished school, Iāve been feeling lost. Let me explain. Going to school, knowing that tomorrow Iād have to go back, and that my day was divided into different tasks and subjects, was a nuisanceābut it gave me the motivation to get everything done.
Now that Iām out in the working world, aside from going to the gym, maintaining healthy sleep habits, eating well, and managing relationships, I canāt seem to do much else. I struggle to further my education, get a better job, start my own business, meet new people, or spend more time with friends.
Iāve realized that I need a schedule to follow; otherwise, my time feels wasted. On top of that, the activities I do manage to complete donāt give me much satisfaction. I feel like I need to plan, organize, and stick to a schedule in order to feel fulfilled.
Is this normal? Has this ever happened to you?

Hello, yesterday was my birthday and I had been organizing it for a month (invited my co-workers and a friend). On December 18th I asked my friend if she was going to come to my birthday and she said yes. I met that friend a year ago and I was trying to meet her sometimes (about 10-15) during that year and we met up twice. Every time I asked him he told me that he could meet, but when the day came, or the day before, he told me that in the end he couldn't meet, that another plan had come up. Well, last week I asked him if he was going to come and he said yes. I called the restaurant and made a reservation for 7 people. Yesterday morning he wrote to me that he couldn't come, that another plan had arisen, to which I responded, Ok, I would know you wouldn't come. Do you think I have done the right thing?

Iāve been going through all my digital purchases lately and was curious about games you bought multiple times and how many times have you bought it? Whether it be remastered/remake or across different systems, which game have you bought multiple times. I know a lot of us have purchased games twice but how many will admit to three or more?
For me The Last of Us meets this criteria. I bought the ps3, ps4, and ps5 version of the last of us. I donāt regret it, the game is amazing and Iām happy to have them all even if I will only be playing the ps5 version moving forward. That being said Iāve learned my lesson and Iām not buying a ps6 version! (Maybe)
My only other egregious example is most of the games in Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5 edition, being KH 1, Re:CoM, KH2 and Birth By sleep. I bought the ps2/psp originals of all these games as well as the ps3 and ps4 collections. I luckily didnāt buy the gba version of CoM. Kingdom Hearts was a cornerstone of my childhood so no regrets here.
I donāt consider it as egregious but I also own three copies of Darksiders 2, the ps3 disc and ps4/ps5 digital copy. The ps5 version was a free upgrade but nonetheless they treat it as itās own entity.
The only game Iāve ever gotten across ecosystems is Kingdom Rush on phone and then the switch.
Well thatās it, any unique games youāve bought cross system or multiple times?

Hey everyone, I havnt needed to write a CV in 30 something years as all my jobs have been word of mouth in one of the trades.
I've used zety to create a CV but it reads like a computer wrote it so need to make some changes.
Are there rules around white space, layout, font types?
Is there a particular order thongs should be in, things to leave it, things to definitely include?
I also really struggled in school, only got 2 pass grades that I couldn't prove if I needed to and a level 2 English at my current place that I'll struggle to get hold of without it being questioned I'd expect.
Any advice or help would be appreciated. Thanks

For a while now I keep reading that Firefox is significantly slower than its competitors...mainly "the Chromium" browsers. Is that "out of the box" and, if so, Mozilla could easily improve its image with a few tweaks that most power users do anyways. On my devices...which involved multiple manufacturers, and ages...I use Firefox Beta (with Betterfox user.js and some other about:config tweaks), Edge, and Chrome...also with some edge: and chrome:flags tweaks. All three have ublock origin (full/standard on Firefox and Lite on Chromium) and a few other extensions (not many). Edge seems to be a little quicker on Speedometer 3, but all three are very close to each other (Firefox is often higher than Chrome). Even on Android, Firefox doesn't feel any slower than Chrome or Edge.
