Sorry if my wording it’s not good just wanted to get this off my mind. I (19F) live with my roommate(22F) while I’m college. Me and this girl started living together since the beginning of fall semester my apartment did roommate match so I didn’t know her prior. My apartment told me and my parents (who are paying for me to live here) that I would be placed with someone who is under 21 to not expose those who are not of drinking age to alcohol. I somehow got put with a 22 year old, not completely sure if that’s legal or not so let me if it’s legal in GA, USA. Anyway I’m not interested in drinking or being around people who do, no shame to them it’s just my preference. So, my roommate invited some of her friends over last night and I thought it was just a quick hangout since last time she had people over to drink she gave me a heads up. I walked out my room around like 10 to microwave my food since I was waiting for them to leave to not bother them only to find a bunch of alcohol I was obviously shocked by this but didn’t say anything then one of the girls offered me a drink which I declined of course (idk why but her asking kinda bothered me ngl though it’s not that serious). Anyway these girls were loud to the point where I had to turn on so music to block out the noise which was annoying. I should mention that the presence of people get me shaking anxiety so I was very anxious during this. It’s around like 11:30 and they leave I thought they went home and I could finally relax so I could go to sleep. (They got here around like 7 or 8) I went into our common space and wow it was a mess drinks everywhere and food all over, it was not looking good. I was waiting for my roommate to come back to tell her this wasn’t ok, but she came back with the girls and proceeded to stay up until 2 in the morning with the girls sleeping on our couch and again not informing me that these people would be sleeping on our couch. Now it’s the morning and I wanna know what should I do to stop this from happening again.

The car is going to debute at the “Mil Milhas de Interlagos”, a 12h endurance race that is taking place as Interlagos next weekend. We didn’t have the time to plan ahead for this race, so we are just going to test what works and what doesn’t and mainly have fun. There is still a lot of progress to be made, and we will take on on the next 2-3h races throughout the year. We’ll just use next week to wrap the final details: sort out the interior, ripping everything off and installing the seat, seatbelts, steering wheel and digital speedometer. Lighting will also be a must, since the race starts at midnight and interlagos is very poor regarding track illumination. 2025.01.19 15:10 Usual_Self_1423 Safety switch for a current source
Hello I was testing a circuit the other day on a pcb where there is a boost converter followed by a current source that is resistor controlled and after the current source there is a digitally controlled switch.
Even though the voltage rating of the switch was never exceeded, I found out later on that when the boost converter is on giving 30V voltages the digital switch allows all the current to pass through even though the microcontroller is opening the switch so it should have no current passing by.
What is happening there making me lose control over the switch is it the high voltage? Because at 3V there is no current passing through?

2025.01.19 15:10 Fearful-Bit-6948 How long does it take you to read a self-help book? do you read multiple books simultaneously?
Unfortunately I didn't finish reading a whole lot of books in 2024, as I kept reading on & off. I have a hard time fitting reading into my schedule, due to feeling like I should be doing other important tasks besides reading for fun, if that makes sense.
I'm wondering how long it usually takes someone to read a self-help book, while taking notes too. For example, I've still been reading 'Atomic Habits'. I want to make sure I'm learning & absorbing the information well but don't want to keep taking unnecessarily too long to finish. I've been reading the same 3 books (a fictional book, memoir, & the self-help book) for several months now.

I just got to the part where Amy got promoted to manager and had her salary announced to the whole store. I'm happy for Amy because she deserves it despite of how she got the job from Laurie. I'm just so pissed at how everyone is acting towards her now like they didn't literally encourage her to take the job???
I am especially annoyed with Chayenne's behavior towards Amy after finding out how much she's getting. I get feeling bitter because of the pay gap but being a complete asshole to Amy is so uncalled for. Especially when Amy's always been looking out for her.
That's all I just wanted to say I'm pissed. lol

 | There was something about playing on bn that always seemed off to me. It just didn't feel the same as steam (when the version was not broken and I disabled steam overlay). The input latency and overall game feel was much better on steam and the xbox app. I am referring to cod here. Well, I might have just figured out why. This is without bn vs with battlenet. For some reason which is unknown to me. Battlenet causes interrupt spikes of up to 4500 in random intervals. This could be perceived as network lag by someone who dosent know what this is and this is what I thought as well for a while. Mind you, this is with a fully maxed out z790 platform paired with a 14900k. Cores are locked, voltages are locked and static. C States, speed shift, etc are all disabled. Core parking is disabled. My cpu runs at a constant pace 24/7. Even the ring clock is locked. Check out my results. For most people that spike would be of up to 15k or even higher. Which very well WILL result in hard game stutters, input latency variations, and an overall poor gaming experience and perhaps even crashes? I hope this has been helpful.
