When I got my turntable (a Stanton gyropoise) I wanted to be able to set it up ASAP. so I got the following for 20$ in the back of a local hifi-focused thrift shop:
-sony ss-122A passive speakers,
-soundesign pll 5928
I hooked it into a nobsound t3 preamp I got for $30.
It’s not a researched setup- from what I looked at the receiver is regarded pretty poorly. I was just eager to hear it play. Now I’m looking to make some upgrades since it sounds a little thin to my ears and I have to turn the treble down to avoid speakers sounding off. My instinct is to go for the speakers first- not the receiver, but am I wrong? I’m not sure if the preamp impacts quality much or would even need an upgrade.
Any passive speaker recs or advice is appreciated. There are some fairly cheap local used ones (for budget I would like to stay under 200ish per item) but I don’t know what to look for in a speaker so I’m not sure if I will end up in same spot. Most of them are vintage which I know can mean quality for turntables but I don’t know if it’s the same for receivers/speakers.

 | The leg of this table snapped and I would really like to save her. I know I need to take the table apart but I only have a vague idea of how to some this usable again. My current plan only has one step figured out which is to use plumbers putty to stabilize the crack, then clean it up and paint it to match. [You, the listener, come inside from a cold winter wonder to take in the heat, as well as an excuse to see the kind bake-tress that owns the place. Any fire can warm the body, but her fire was a warmth that took the coldness and stress away from your stressful life ... .and her yummy pastries. (\ ^ ω ^)]*
Sfx- [Listeners footsteps walking up to the counter.]
[The chattering dulls down as you focus on the baktress.]
Sfx- [baktress footsteps walking up to the counter]
“Good morning sweets, long time no see! As you can see it's pretty packed.”
She smiles at you and you can’t help smiling back.

What cameras are we allowed to use for testing? I was told by the people who run those tests I have to use the camera WGU gave me. The camera WGU gave me sucks. It’s blurry and the people at prototu complain half the time they can’t read my license and I need to make the camera clear. Also the wire is defective and it’s always cutting off if I move it the wrong way. Any recommendations? I had a nice Logitech camera where they could see my screen me and everything but they said no.

I setup qsync between my Mac and my Qnap NAS in my local network. I created a shared folder on the Qnap through Filestation and everything seems ok and it initially synced. As I’m moving and deleting files on the Mac, files on the Qnap are not updating and then some of the deleted files are showing back up on the Mac again.
I really just want a backup of my files from my Mac to the Qnap so I don’t want the Qnap ever sending files back to the Mac. Is there a setting I’m missing here. Wayne is making a mess of my folder structures in my Mac.
