Playing my mate in a week or so who proper plays cagey Mont'ka Tau, some horrible shooting and careful positioning in turns 1/2. The usual textbook stuff.
I'm thinking of running dark angels in vanguard spearhead to counter it - infiltrate a terminator brick with a librarian and chainfists to mess up his vehicles, drop plasma Inceptors on his best shooting units - the whole disrupt play.
My question is, does the core vanguard sp rule of minus 1 to hit essentially cancel out the Tau guided bonus? So the two cancel each other out for guided Tau to be hitting on 4s again? I'm reading it as such but wanted to check / if anyone has any other thoughts and tips for how to play tau with SM.

I’m a new pokemon collector, new enough that I still enjoy pulling iconic pokemon from commons and uncommon lol.
I’m looking for opinions from those who’ve opened multiple over the course of their time favoring the pokemon tcg.
First of all, I have a small budget. $55 CAD or $38 USD is the most I’m willing to pay. I’m looking for the best pull rates a set has to offer (double rares and ace specs will do as well,) and sleeves that look neat. Cloudy sleeves aren’t a big deal to me, but if possible, avoiding those would be great.

So i just wanted to vent to someone about this dream that i had that was so realistic it made me question myself and my sanity.
Three days ago i slept for 10 hours because i had exams week and i was tired and i had this very realistic dream. It started with me, on vacation, going in a club with my friends, in a place where we really are going to in some months for vacation. I was wearing a dress that i always wear on summer vacations and i was talking with my friends. Some guys hit on them and because they wouldn't let me stay alone, they sent a friend to keep me company. (We were both from different countries, both on vacation there). So i was talking with the friend they send and we had such fun that time flew by. My friends came back and i left but we exchanged instagrams and he asked me on a date. All 4 days in that city we were going out and when it was time to go to a different city, but in the same country, we exchanged goodbyes. I told him if it was fate maybe we would meet again.
The next day we left for the other city (i repeat the dream followed the real timetable of our vacation) and that night i was sitting in a bar melancholic. I posted a story of where i was and he responded saying "Are you [insert bar name]?" And i said how did you know this bar and he said you'll see.
After that i felt someone touching my shoulder and it was him. I was so happy in my dream. I asked what he was doing here and he said something along the lines of " i dont like leaving things up to fate". So we continue dating throughout the vacation and before i left we exchanged numbers so we could Skype and use WhatsApp. The dream continues with me going to his country and him coming to mine. Spending Easter at my parents house and stuff like that. We skip to like 4 years and he proposes. He wants to marry in my culture's customs and he wants to marry where my parents got married. The dream ends with us planning our wedding.
There where more details but people that don't know me or how my culture works wouldn't understand them anyway.
After that i woke up but i just can't forget this dream... I feel kind of sad and also crazy because i love a man that doesn't exist.
I know i sound crazy but if anyone has any advice or even interpretation for this dream i would be grateful.

If you're frustrated with spending money on ads that simply don't work, you're not alone. Most advertisers waste their time and money throwing it at ad platforms and hoping something sticks. Let's be honest - Meta as an ad platform has been changing incredibly fast, with new features and updates every single week. But what if you could learn the key lessons from someone who's profitably spent over a million dollars on ads in the last year?
To be precise about this post, about half of this ad spend is on management on the agency side and half is on advisory with all of our consulting clients that we work with on a done-with-you, over-the-shoulder basis.
To give you some context, agency-wise we took about 18 brands last year. Those have been varied industries, but mainly it's a mix - about 50% e-commerce businesses, 50% info product businesses. When it comes to the consulting side, we've personally consulted on about 30 or so businesses, some of which being ad agencies which all had an average of about four accounts each. So if you do the math, we've seen quite a lot of AD accounts across quite a lot of verticals in the last few months.
Lesson 1: It's All About Creative and Product/Offer
Let's be honest; it's not something new I am talking about. If you look into other successful advertisers' posts, they also talk about this a lot. Why shouldn't they? If It's the most important thing when it comes to advertising.
There are only two things that matter when it comes to paid advertising. What I noticed is that with the best products and offers or funnels we ran ads to, we could have the simplest ads. In fact, we could have an ad that is almost advertising something completely different, but if people ended up on a landing page with a very strong and sound offeproduct, they would still buy profitably.
I see so many people trying to pull their hair out trying to make sure ads work, trying to crack the right ad angle, trying to get the right desire and persona. But unless you are terribly wrong on the ad side (which I doubt if you're well-versed in the ads manager), the problem probably isn't in your ads - it's an offepositioning problem on the product side.
Take a look at this: It's an example of mismatched ads and landing pages. The hook says, "stomach issues," but they’re sending people to a homepage or product page that talks about "delicious Gourmet soups to enhance your healthy lifestyle." Sure, some folks might make the connection, but it's hit or miss. Instead, I'd send them to a page that says something like "Frustrated with doctors and digestive issues?" This is what I mean by congruency between ads and landing pages.
Here is another one: it's kind of a wild example but I think it makes the point. This ad is showing, "furry jewels" and they are sending people to a page where a girl is shaving her arms. There's a massive disconnect there. Will people buy? Maybe some will make the connection, sure, but it's just not congruent.
I'm a guy clicking this ad for a specific reason, and then I see a girl shaving her arms. I’m probably not going to be as interested and might just give up. A lot of you guys are doing this and probably don’t realize it until you step back and think, "Oh, no wonder that ad didn’t convert well – it’s leading to a page that's completely different from what the ad shows."
The point is: you need to have the product and offer sound first. You could have the worst ad in the world, and it will still convert profitably if you have a good product, offer, and landing page.
Lesson 2: The Law of One in Advertising
My second lesson is regarding the law of one in advertising, which I've been discussing a lot with our consulting clients. People buy for one thing and one thing only. I realized this when one of my friends started advertising on his consulting offer.
He had the agency for years, and earlier this year, he started promoting his one-on-one consulting offer. Like many advertisers, he tried to stack everything in the ad or VSL or landing page - all the information about the product and why someone would want to buy it. He mentioned the one-on-one Slack channel with him and his team, one-on-one calls, weekly group calls, course access, all his SOPs, etc.
Then he told me that 90% of people were joining for one thing only: access.
They wanted to speak to him, send him texts and voice memos, and get personalized help with their situation. That was the one thing people cared about most.
This is true for everything. Take the iPhone - it's made of titanium, has a super retina display, a high-quality camera, and many other features. But do you hear someone saying they bought a new iPhone because of all these things? Usually, they buy it for one specific feature. Some buy a MacBook for its speed, others for battery life, others for Mac OS security.
Apple demonstrates this in their advertising. If you look at their Meta ads, they focus on one specific thing at a time. Their "Mac Does That" campaign has separate ads for different features - "Long battery life? Mac does that" or "Security? Mac does that." They're testing which benefits people truly care about.
Lesson 3: The Importance of Trends and Market Forces
The third lesson is about how important trends and market forces are. 2024 had elections, which impacted Facebook ads significantly. We also saw various memes emerge - like the “Hawk thoo” girl in recent months. Running ads a few days after this meme went viral performed amazingly well. The same happened with the "chill guy" meme.
Every time there's a trend; you have an opportunity to get a temporary boost in results. I emphasize "temporary" because this won't be part of your evergreen strategy. However, you can supplement your evergreen ad strategy with these trend-based performance bursts that are relevant to your industry.
Lesson 4: The True Cost of Advertising
Ads are a lot more expensive than most people think, and most people can actually afford to spend more than they think. Working with newer entrepreneurs through our consulting offer we've noticed they often expect immediate returns.
For example, we had a client in the Italian market advertising to psychologists. After calculating their appointment setting rates, closing rates, and show-up rates, they could afford about $200 or more per call. Yet they were killing ads after spending just $50-$60, saying "this ad isn't working." They weren't giving the ads a fighting chance to deliver results.
I won't kill an ad until it spends at least twice my KPI.
I follow the $10K rule (credit to Cole Gordon): you need about $10K saved up before starting advertising, regardless of industry. This means $2K-$3K monthly budget for 3-4 months, which should be enough time to become profitable if you're optimizing effectively. This budget level ($70-$100 daily) ensures you get enough data to make informed decisions about your landing page, offer, funnel, or ads.
Lesson 5: The Complex Relationship Between Organic and Paid
The final lesson is about the complexity of mixing organic with paid ads. When done right, it creates beautiful chemistry where everything becomes more profitable. Whether you start with organic and add paid, or vice versa, the combination typically improves overall business profitability.
If you're already doing organic and start ads, you juice more out of your market. If you add organic to existing ads, your ROAS typically increases because people trust you more and buy faster. However, there's a caveat: with businesses that already have significant organic presence (hundreds of thousands of followers, millions of monthly impressions), it becomes tricky. You need to spend substantially on ads to reach beyond your existing warm audience, and attribution becomes murky.
My conclusion: organic brings volume and trust, while paid ads bring consistency. Paid ads work day in, day out - if you can't post for a day or two, paid ads will still run, get eyeballs, and warm people up to your product. Paid ads provide consistency, while organic provides volume and market trust.

And it just ended and it felt like I lost my family all over again and it hurts a lot, I keep checking in on them and see how they’re all doing and it keeps making me sad, I honestly felt more heartbroken about losing them than losing her that’s how much they meant to me especially her dad

So, something is definitely up with Helly.
I think we're supposed to think she's Helena, but I think this might actually be an innie of an inner. (Kinda like how in inception there's dreams within dreams) It seems that whatever they do in microdata refinement, only and innie can do.
It's possible she might've been severed again and the new innie has been tortured and told the line she must walk. This makes for more interesting and dynamic character.
Even if Helly isn't the one, I'm willing to bet the concept of double severance will come up at some point.

I also don't have a driver's license, have been severely addicted to fetish p*rn since I was 14 years old, am extremely pale, am underweight (I'm 5'11 and 141 LBS), and have no family members in the picture except for my parents.
Why in the world should I not be severely depressed? The best years of my life are gone. There are many once-in-a-lifetime events and opportunities that happen in your teens and early-20's that I have missed out on due to being homeschooled, COVID, and then being too much of a pussy to be social in college when I was there.

Graduated in August, no experience at all in CS. Basically just some mediocre projects and a degree. Haven’t received a single interview since graduating (got 2 OA’s and both went poorly).
Recently accepted an entry level IT role that pays peanuts. But I just don’t think a career in software is going to play out for me at this rate, and maybe I can build off of this IT role.
Is this a bad move? Is anyone else in this position?
Also, I’m from Canada and can’t even hear back from a WITCH company, so there’s that.
