2025.01.19 16:49 Center-Of-Thought I had a dream Touhou had a cruise ship with characters and an overarching story...
Essentially, workers dressed as the characters would LARP as them during the cruise, and the ship itself was loosely themed as Gensokyo. There would be moments where characters would interact and talk with each other which would progress the story.
...Unfortunately, the characters spoke in Japanese, and I do not speak Japanese. (I'm assuming I listen to the language enough that my brain can replicate its sounds?) But I do remember what was going on. The story largely involved Reimu, Marisa, and Sanae. Reimu constantly argued with both of them and was often frustrated, at one point stepping away from the group.
Later in the story, the main three and a few other characters (unfortunately I don't remember all who was here, but I do remember Suwako was there next to Kanako) were sitting in some fake grass and talking with each other. In the distance, Yukari slowly entered the area and leaned up against a fake tree, watching them without anyone noticing. I kept my eye on her.
Yukari suddenly walked up to the characters which apparantly shocked them. Reimu was pissed, but the others were largely confused. Yukari starts speaking to the other characters, in Japanese per normal, but then she splays her arms out, stating "I will now speak in English". And I was so incredibly baffled that I stated outloud, "In English?" And then the actress for Yukari turned to me and confirmed as such. Yes, so completely randomly, Yukari switches languages. She tells the characters that they need to meet her later that evening and gives them a location on the ship (I don't remember where this was). Then she walks off...
I don't remember the set-up for this part of the dream. But Renko and Maribel, of all characters, were running through the fake grass, probably exploring Gensokyo or something. They step into a pile of red leaves, which seems to alert the other characters. Reimu walks up to them, followed shortly by Sanae and Marisa. The three characters surround them before they can run off. Maribel reacts sheepishly while Renko chuckles and, I assume, attempts to talk her way out of it. During this, Yukari enters the scene in the distance, and watches this unfurl. I looked back at Maribel and Renko. While Renko was talking to the others, Maribel was just staring out in the distance, focusing on Yukari. She was the only character to even notice her.
Yukari slowly walks up to Maribel who's surrounded by the red leaves. She calls her by name, "Meri", and reaches her hand out to touch her. The red leaves waft upward and surround Maribel, while Renko and the other three characters look on in shock. Maribel lifts her hand as well and touches Yukari's. The scene is bathed in a flash of white light... and that's where I remember the dream ending.
(Miscellaneous facts: * This cruise was done as an extension of the universal studios cruise line, which does not exist in real life... * I remember the ship having a dedicated pool room which was massive. A story moment happened here as well, but I don't remember what it was.)

2. Constant Emails, Contradictions, and Frustration From the start, my inbox was flooded with promotional emails encouraging me to deposit more money to unlock higher withdrawal limits. Yet, when I asked for clear policies or documentation, I was told no such documents existed. Each time I tried to follow their rules, I was met with vague responses and ever-changing conditions. For example:
- I was initially told I could withdraw up to $5,000 after reaching the Gold Plan but later found out I needed to deposit an additional $2,400—even though my account already held over $5,000.
- I asked for a withdrawal table or formula to understand how limits were calculated, but they refused to provide one, instead urging me to "invest more."
- Their email responses contradicted each other, adding to my frustration and confusion.
- The amount was "too little" for bank transactions, yet too high for a Silver Plan investor.
- I needed to make additional deposits to "activate" my withdrawal eligibility, even though I had met all their stated requirements.

Recommendation Do not invest with Western Bit Link. Their business practices are predatory and fraudulent, designed to extract deposits while making it nearly impossible to withdraw your funds. Save yourself the frustration, financial loss, and emotional stress. There are far better, more transparent investment platforms out there. Western Bit Link is a scam—stay far away.
These practices make it clear they are not a legitimate investment platform.

Mostly, title.
We've been waiting for the last of the kids to launch and we're nearly there. No rush to get on the road, so we're taking our time to get the planning just right. I'm a watercolor artist and also work with some niche embroidery materials. I don't need a TON of space, but the idea is to create and then hit up different art shows. I have a website that I sell from as well, so I'd need some space for keeping my finished pieces for a short while before they're sold. I work in miniatures so that helps, and I do a lot of plein air painting/urban sketching so I'm used to and prefer travel/portable supplies.
Just looking for some general inspiration at this point. A search of the sub gets me recording studios, and a general Google search doesn't bring up much at all.

They would collect charges in melee combat, which they can then use to attack from a greater distance. In this way, they could slide in and out of the fray again and again.KANI, the Wyrm's Mother January Contest: This entry fulfills prompt 1 and 3 as I introduce the Island of Lina and the Tumat'latu people along with this concept, and prompt 2. Classes: Skirmisher, Marksman Roles: ADC, Top Region: Ionia, Island of Lina Lina is a small volcanic island in southern Ionia that is home to the Tumat'latu people. In recent times however poachers arrived at its shores in search for a certain scaly deity. Here is more about the island and its inhabitants. Appearance: Kani is a tall, slender woman with long arms and legs. Her skin is dark and covered with fine white tattoos. Her black hair is braided with pearls, feathers and ribbons into thick plaits that flow down her back. She wears simple clothes made of leather and woven fabric and no shoes, as the soles of the Tumat'latu are used to the uneven forest floor. In her right hand she holds the traditional Ta'ahina spear of her ancestors, long, smooth wood, adorned with chains of gemstones, shells, wooden beads and feathers, and a wide blade made from the jagged tooth of a leviathan. The Wyrm usually sits on her left shoulder, its long tail wrapped tightly around Kani’s arm. It is a small, lizard-like creature with a pointed snout and a throat pouch somewhat reminiscent of a bearded dragon. Its scales are purple with yellow and orange spots. In battle, the Wyrm spits small bursts of fire and he uses its long sticky tongue to sometimes snack on minions. Lore: Kani was a simple hunter from the Tumat'latu people until she stumbled across the god of her home island in a lonely grotto. One day, this deity will reunite all the continents into one, but for now he is merely a small, purple lizard - and the object of desire for all who crave primordial power. On the run from Noxian poachers and her own corrupt king, she tries to cross over to Navori to join the armies of resistance. The Wyrm allows here to attack while moving freely, but to maintain these attacks, she has to weave in and out constantly. Designed as a Melee-ADC, the minion execute does not only help her to not fall behind in level, but also allows her to basically farm on long range from time to time. The Wyrm always sits on Kani's shoulder. He has no health bar and cannot be targeted. Its attacks can crit but they do not apply on-hit effects or life steal.
