We can probably count on one hand the amount of episodes that don't show at least one character drinking. Considering Hank drinks every day then fairly "heavily" when he's in the alley (I'm pretty sure beer wasn't included in alcoholism yet), anyone got a guess for the ABV of the beer? Guessing its light but not too light, but the four main drinkers seem to be able to down a few cans without issue.

Ron and Russell wish to express their heartfelt sympathy to their fellow Angelenos who suffered devastating losses in the recent fires, especially in Altadena and Pacific Palisades.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, first in Venice on Washington Blvd. (now Abbot Kinney) and then in Pacific Palisades on Galloway St. from 1958 to 1973, and apart from a few years abroad, Ron and Russell have continued to call LA their hometown to this day.
Despite its glamorous Hollywood image, LA is an incomparable city built by diverse working classes of all walks of life where creativity and culture have always had the freedom to flourish. LA is strong, compassionate, and resilient, and it will rise again like it always has.
With that in mind, Sparks has a new album campaign starting soon and while it may feel a little insensitive to promote new music while their city is going through so much, it also feels like the right thing to do; music and art has always had comforting and healing properties that can penetrate a heartbreak.

2025.01.19 18:53 Thin_Oil_576 Changes to rifts I'd like to see
So I feel rifts is pretty underutilized in a certain way. The format that they've been doing obviously isn't working but to me, the standout stuff are the target tests and some of the boss fights. Would be cool to see a rift megamix of target tests that grows each time they add a new target test rift, especially with leaderboards for said target test. A boss rush rift would be dope too, with a similar setup to the omni rift we got in season one where you can use any rift gem. Would much prefer to have these as dailies as opposed to random rifts for trying to level up older rift gems, as if you go back to season one, completing rifts like Age of Smith is next to impossible on looney due to the bevy of 2v1 fights.
Another good example would be implementing a semi rogue like system just like rivals 1 did with abyss mode, where you get access to more rift gems the higher your individual character level (separate from overall character level) within rifts, and you just go through a set of challenges on a single stage and try to see how many rounds you can last.
I feel like these modes would add a lot to rifts and help get more people interested in the modem

2025.01.19 18:53 EnvironmentalSelf472 Father who abandoned child is now filing for contempt against me.
Me and my son’s dad established a parenting plan in CO when my son was 2. He has never followed it, or took his parenting time. He always said he didn’t have a babysitter so he couldn’t help. He refuses to provide his updated contact information like his address or phone number. He has been in contempt for failure to pay child support since 2020 and has had an active bench warrant for years for failure to show up to contempt hearing.
Long story short my child is now 9 and my son hasn’t had a relationship with his dad since he was 2-3 years old. I have always meant to file for full custody but was attempting to join the military and couldn’t have any active cases open. I got stationed in TX back in 2022 and obviously brought my son with me. I attempted to modify the original order in CO for full custody but the case was dismissed due to not having jurisdiction. I registered the new order in TX and filed a petition to modify for full custody. My court hearing is coming up (uncontested) and I just received an email from an attorney he hired saying that they are filing contempt against me for failure to abide by the parenting plan.
It’s insane to me that someone can abandon their child physically and financially and still expect me to follow a 7 year old parenting plan. (I know unless it’s been modified, it’s still valid). They haven’t filed anything yet to my knowledge, but if they do, will the fact that I have been trying to modify the order for a year now and proof of abandonment help? Also can I file for contempt against him into the same case because he is also in violation of the parenting plan.
I would also like to see if I can claim retaliation because he only retained an attorney because I was able to finally pin point his location and under the table paying job and provided all information and proof to the child support office which him and his employer still tried lying to them and now his employer is having a case against them for contempt. His attorney emailed me requesting to do a termination of parental rights (I am married and my husband of 6 years wants to adopt) to clean up his legal issues with child support and that I waive all arrears (over $35K) and I agreed and requested he helps with fees and they did not like that. They stopped communicating with me and then I just received the email that they’re filing contempt against me.
Before you tell me to talk to an attorney, I will. I’m not going to spend money on one unless they do in fact file the case. Just looking for advice/opinions/new perspectives right now!

so we know that eli/craig have bipolar, emma had an ED, etc. speculations on other characters whose diagnoses are ambiguous?
- fiona reads BPD to me; she mellows out once she has better people in her life, gets sober, and starts going to a therapist. she’s super attached to both her brother and holly j, had a substance abuse problem, chronically lonely/depressed. miles has a similar background and also has drug problems/identity fluctuations on the show.
-hunter has ODD on the show but his lack of empathy/violence and chaotic home life make me wonder if there is more to it than that. or maybe he’s just a character who “depends on the writer”.
-peter is a sociopath or has NPD. he’s capable of surface level kindness/loyalty to a few but is fairly transactional in his relationships. i cannot believe degrassi tried to give him a redemption arc with his revenge porn/sexual exploitation arcs with TWO different girls.
-dallas has PTSD from losing cam and had a difficult adolescence prior to transferring to degrassi. his family seems out of the picture aside from his ex partneinfant son.
-imogen is neurodivergent - socially awkward but skilled in areas of focus, strong sense of justice when wronged, indifference to social norms, has vocal/behavioral stims. if she were not conventional attractive she would be bullied significantly more.
-drew has adhd. he’s impulsive, somewhat scatterbrained at school but pulls it together when incentivized, talkative.
-in the hollingsworth family miles is the scapegoat, frankie the golden child, and hunter the lost child.
