Just saw a large dog (brown with white on chest and belly) running away from the ocean on Swift Street about 10 minutes ago. We tried to follow/ leash it but it seemed scared and just kept running. Unfortunately it was too far from us to get a picture, but it did have a collar. Last seen on Getchell and Chase heading north.

Despite having a bike fit that resolved most issues, I'm still experiencing significant discomfort, particularly with saddle hardness causing numbness and swelling. I've tried various bib shorts and changed saddles multiple times without success. Online searches suggest personalized options due to anatomical differences. As I'm new to cycling, I haven't joined group rides yet. Is it normal to experience this pain, and does it typically lessen over time? What kind of advice could you give me about adjusting to cycling? Are there specific products or techniques that might help alleviate this discomfort? Any recommendations for softer saddles that might reduce discomfort?

I need recommendations for a mascara that lengthens, volumizes, holds a curl, and doesn’t smudge! I’m really not into natural mascaras, and I want mascara that makes my asian eyelashes super dramatic and defined to the point they look like falsies.
Are waterproof mascaras all destined to dry out super fast? I would really like a mascara that I could use for 4-5 months. I’m considering L’oreal Panarama waterproof mascara or Maybelline Lash Stilleto waterproof Mascara. What’s also confusing is how varied mascara reviews can be! Let me know what you guys think, thanks!!
I’ve already tried the following:
Maybelline Sky High waterproof mascara: I know this mascara is recommended a lot but this lengthened and volumized my eyelashes super nicely until it dried out after JUST a month and was lackluster and clumpy as a result 😔 Did smudge a little
Clio Kill Lash Superproof Mascara #02 Volume Curling: It was okay, didn’t smudge too much but it didn’t really provide a lot of volume, the mascara looked kind of natural on my eyelashes. It’s also hard to layer.
Maybelline Lash Sensational washable mascara: really nice volume but it smudged like crazy and it did not hold a curl whatsoever. I don’t think my asian eyelashes can handle any washable mascara
Maybelline Lash Sensational Firework Waterproof Mascara: Length was okay and I feel like it didn’t give that much volume. It also dries out after 2-3 months so the length and volume it gives now is super lackluster. Also hard to layer since it dries super fast.
e.l.f. Lash n’ Roll Mascara: it’s a washable mascara so it smudged on me but it holds my curl decently okay if I only apply one coat. It’s a more natural mascara, so I didn’t really like the lack of length and volume it gave.

Okay, so this literally just happened two hours ago, me and my friends were at the beach, just having a chill day eating ice cream, talking, and walking down the coastline and then these two guys stopped us and started making small talk, they were throwing compliments like, “You ladies are so gorgeous” “You girls are such babes” “You girls have such great bodies” I could tell they were tourists because they were speaking in a mix of English and Português but oml, their Português was so so so so so broken it actually like physically hurt to hear, like I don’t judge tourists who can’t speak good Português but still try to learn and speak it when they’re here and don’t expect the locals to learn English for them, that’s good. But mannnn these guys' português was soo bad it was like the only time they tried learning was on the plane ride here and they just quickly opened Duolingo and did one quick lesson it was so painful to hear one of my friends was trying not to laugh lol
But not too much of that, so I just broke them out of their miserable speaking Português session and told them that we can understand and speak English, well mostly me, but you get the point, and they got so shocked, like their faces dropped to frowns, which is like why would you feel sad that we can speak to you perfectly in your language? 😭 But anyways after they asked for our numbers, wait no, they actually first asked if they could buy us some drinks at the nearby beach bar but we declined and made up a lie that we were gonna leave soon, so then they sighed and asked for our numbers next.
So that’s when one of my friends told them that we’re too young to give our numbers out, and they were like ‘What do you mean by too young?’ And that’s when I eventually told them that we’re 14, their expressions changed soo quickly LOL, it was like they didn’t know whether to feel embarrassed, frustrated, or to just walk away, guy 1 was like “Oh, uh.. okay cool,” and guy 2 was “We thought yall were 21 or something” Which I can’t express how offended I was in that moment, like maybe that we look 16 I would understand, but 21? 🤨 Like please don’t insult us like that we don’t look like grandmas, but guy 2 was like “Can we still get your numbers?” Which is insane, even his friend looked shocked, so that’s when we got a little bitchy and started swearing and saying no until they walked away, and then we continued our previous conversation and now also about those two guys now, but when I looked back I noticed that guy 2 while walking away had his phone pointed towards us, like directly towards us, so I'm assuming he took a picture of us, which is sooo weird and disgusting oml.
That's the end, I'm not looking for input, just wanted to get this off my chest

2025.01.19 19:39 PMA2000 Help me find my next dual-sport bike please.
Hey how’s it going everyone?
I currently own a 2019 KLX250 and I’m beginning to venture out more into the wild exploring new areas and trails. I’m looking for something more suitable, comfortable and powerful to take on the highway and check out more areas and single tracks.
Currently considering the DRZ400, looks very affordable, very low maintenance but heavy (heavier than my 300lb KLX)
I like the KTM offerings like the 390 or 450, heck even the 690 with its low seat, all are light l, but the maintenance will probably be a pain riding these bikes on the highway from one track to the other.
DR650/XR650 looks a like a great highway bike but then again it’s going to be heavy.
I like old vintage bikes like the XT500, but quite honestly I don’t know what to expect from an old bike, or how they handle in single tracks.
I’m 5’6 (will have the bike professionally lowered, plus a low seat to have the bike sit at 34”), 145lbs, and looking to spend around $7,000. I’m not in a rush to buy, just looking for options now, and then the used market for a good deal.
