Hello!
Not overclocking, but trying to help my little brother diagnose a potential RAM voltage issue. He has an MSI PRO A620M-E motherboard, Ryzen 7600X, and this RAM: https://www.teamgroupinc.com/en/product-detail/memory/T-CREATE/expert-u-dimm-ddr5-black/expert-u-dimm-ddr5-black-CTCED532G6000HC38ADC01/ 32GB, 6000MHz, CL30.
We put it together at Christmas, and everything ran fine for him for two weeks, but he started getting hard crashes (screen frozen with display, no input, had to hard power) intermittently when running fortnite or OBS. I've chased down various leads, but the one I'm unsure about is this:
Teamgroup specs for this RAM say that the spec voltage is 1.35V, but since I never thought to change from the defaults, bios is configured to provide base voltage 1.1V, and VPP of 1.8V (and we aren't using any overclocking profiles). Is this discrepancy one that would simply lower performance, or is it underpowering to the extent that it would cause crashes? Would increasing the voltage improve stability of the system, and would we need to enable XMP or EXPO for it?
I don't know why he bought overclocking RAM when he didn't plan to overclock. For now, priority is just getting stable system.
System survived multiple TestMem5 and Prime95 tests with healthy temperatures and no crashes.
FWIW, he's on Windows 11, has a Gigabyte OC Radeon RX 7600 8 GPU, Corsair RM 750e Platinum power supply, and Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition 42 CFM CPU Cooler.

My cat spilled a glass of water on it while I was sleeping and it sat overnight saturating the paper and as can be seen by the mottled purple color the sizing had been washed out of the paper. I’ve started a new painting to make sure the sizing is still good to rule that out as an issue. This is one of the things in which film has an advantage over the stage: letting subtle body language and facial expressions tell more than words can. In the movie, it was so much more apparent that Galinda's Popular Girl Persona is a carefully studied act. She comes from a rich family in high society and that comes with certain Expecations: act a certain way, dress a certain way, marry the right man. But Galinda, as a child, almost certainly didn't fit the mold. Who knows if it was her parents, her peers, or other adults in her parents' circle, but I can almost guarantee that she was made to feel the way Elphaba felt as a child: too strange, not good enough, too other. Only, her Otherness (being weird, being queer) were things she could learn to hide. She could study, she could change, at least on the outside. And so she did. She let herself get absorbed into what she was expected to be (I think one of the biggest indicators that it's all a mask is that, by the "Oh shit" look on her face when Pfannee pulls out the hat, we're meant to pick up on the fact that she actually does love it. Why else did she bring it? The look says "Oh crap no one was supposed to see that" and the excuse she gives very much sounds like something she scrambled for on the spot. I do not believe her for one second that she actually hates it. There's a detachment in her voice when she insults it, and I read that as her also feeling guilty for saying anything nasty about her grandmother, but by this point, she's worked way too hard for her social capital and therefore she's got to defend it in that moment, even if she feels bad for how she does so).
And so when she meets Elphaba, not only does Elphaba not react to Galinda the way Galinda is used to people reacting to her, but she wears her Otherness out in the open. Initially, Galinda's first instinct is to offer to "fix" Elphaba's external Otherness because it's what Galinda had to do, and therefore assumes it's what Elphaba would want, to get rid of what others can see that marks her as different. But not only does Elphaba dismiss her offer, she seems to embrace all her Otherness. She doesn't try and hide who she is on the inside, because why bother? Her outside already marks her as different, so there's no need to change who she is as a person to try and fit in, and that's what really gets to Galinda more than anything. She tells herself she's jealous of Elphaba having/getting what Galinda wants (magic), but in reality, it's Elphaba's freedom to be herself. It's why Galinda, in the Ozdust Ballroom, is the only one who really understands how Elphaba is feeling, because she's felt it herself, long ago. In the end, we see Elphaba embrace her childhood self, but I think Galinda started to do the same in the Ozdust Ballroom. She started to reconnect with who she really is. During "Popular", we start to see a little bit of that Weirdness come through, too. She lets herself be just a little more vulnerable around Elphaba.
(It's also so apparent as well that it's really Elphaba she's falling in love with. She goes after Fiyero because he's a status symbol, but she doesn't know, or care, about him as a person. She leaves him behind at the Ozdust without a word or even a second thought (that last shot of him as they run off really is the classic "Lover left behind as they realize their partner is falling for someone else" look), she gives Elphaba the flower he gave her, she runs off after Elphaba at the train station because it's Elphaba she wants to be with, not Fiyero. And I think we gotta look at that bit in "Popular" when she takes Elphie's glasses off and then says "Nevermind" and puts them back. It could be read as a spoof of the classic "makeover movie" trope of "Nerdy girl gets hot when you take her glasses off", and in a way it is, saying no, she's fine with them, but the way Galinda kinda of shakes herself as she turns away, the look on her face, 100% reads as "What the hell was that? Why did I feel...? Nope. No. Not gonna think about that, MOVING ON" Gay Panic.)
And all of this is part of why, in that pivotal moment, she couldn't go with Elphaba. It's partly, as others have said, because her power is her social capital, and she believes she can do more good trying to change things from the inside. But it's also because, despite the fact that she has started to shed the elaborate costume she's built for herself, started to reconnect with who she is at her core, she's not fully there yet. She has spent who knows how many years building up this protective armor to shield herself from the pain of being Othered. It's why she initially tries to convince Elphaba to just apologize, trying to convince herself as much as Elphaba that in doing so, everything will just go back to the way it was. It's not that she's still taking the Wizard's side or believes in his cause. It is so, so hard to just let all of that go in a single moment, especially in a moment when you're dealing with a whole lot of other complicated emotions. For Elphaba, who has never been able, or really tried, to hide her Otherness, it's not hard to take that final leap. But for Glinda, who had to work so hard to build up all that armor, who finally got to the point of being seen in the way her world demanded she be, it's not so easy to just shed those last pieces of that armor. It's just too much, and it's also perfectly understandable. Glinda has her own pain and trauma that she has to deal with: she's just spent so long burying it, it's gonna take her a little longer to be able to fully face it.
(And based on interviews and other comments that she's said, I think Ariana absolutely understands all of this about the character, it's why we can see it in her performance specifically, because she understood that pain, that trauma, the complexities and nuances to the character, and I think she can also pull from personal experience, which really does make her the absolute perfect person to play this character)
