I’ve been using crypto since 2017 - wish I was old enough to actually buy it back then - but in 2022/2023 I started to get back into it, and started buying it. I then also started accepting crypto as a payment option for client work. In October I made a solid 1.2k from a client deal in ETH, which I shortly swapped to SOL.
After Nov 5, it went up an extraordinary amount. Cautious, I swapped to USDC before December. I believe this was the right move. A couple of weeks ago I swapped it back to Solana. I had spent some of it, as it did increase value, so I now have about 4 SOL - worth just 700 dollars at the time.
Today SOL reached an all time high - thanks mr Orange man - and my 700 turned into 1100. Peasants money, I know. I then used my big brain to swap this earning back to USDC.
And would you look at that. Not only are all of your meme coins tanking, SOL is tanking and the network is taking years to actually process transactions. It seems like 99% of people are just watching their money burn away like they can’t even do anything.
I suppose this post is me flexing that I’ll be alright in the long term, and made a bit of money which will cover my server costs for the next 2 years. I’m disappointed that I never had more SOL and did the same, could have turned into quite the fortune today.
However, this post should act as a personal warning from myself to you. I was lucky today, but a lot have not been. Are you sure you can trust your money in a decentralised system that in cases like this you can’t even use because of congestion?

I’ve been scouring for this fanfic for awhile because the ending really stuck to me (sadly the ending the is the only thing I remember).
After defeating the Demon king, Kazuma lived a full life in that world. As a bonus after his death he was allowed to reincarnate back to Japan with his memories. He’s walking to school with Dust (he also got to get reincarnated) reminiscing about the other world and Aqua then descends much to his shock even more so as Darkness and Megumin in school uniform are there too, he then finds out that the two also reincarnated but attended different schools but managed to find each other and Aqua comes down just to join the fun.
Aqua also then informs Dust that Rin/Lynn is also in Japan much to his excitement so he runs off leaving the four alone.
And it just ends with them going to school or whatever. But a happy ending where the fun continues.

This is my first high gain amp so I have little knowledge on how these works, but is it normal that even with the master volume at 0 it still produce sound? Because I hooked a noise gate to get it silent but I can still hear the distorted guitar when the gate is closed. It’s not loud but still annoying.

2025.01.19 23:06 Ecstatic-Return-8019 AITAH because I don't want to stay with my incarcerated bf's family after giving birth?
A month, yes, a month before our due date my bf gets into serious legal trouble and is currently in jail probably looking at a sure-fire prison sentence of 2-8 years. This entire pregnancy, he was cheating after 'breaking up' with me and I found out at the same time that I found out he was in jail.
Shortly after being locked up he springs it on me that he wants me to stay with his family (who is about 5 minutes down the road) so they can take care of me instead of my dad who is - to my bf's credit - useless, emotionally abusive, and neglectful. I also have a strong feeling that if he were ever alone with my daughter (which he won't be) he would injure her (based on how he treats my dog) or molest her (he preyed on my mother who was a teenager while he was almost in his 30's).
My boyfriend's been insisting, and his family is expecting me over as well. I don't know what it is, if it's stubbornness or disgust or me not trusting his family after watching him cheat on me while I'm pregnant or trying to cover up his crime, or what but I don't want to go. I just want to be alone with my baby, even if it means dealing with my dad's harassment and attitude here and there.
90% of our daughter's stuff is with me, and I barely have energy to pack my hospital bag let alone a suitcase to move in with them for 6 weeks. I keep asking him to listen to me when I say I want to wait to see what kind of state I'm even in after birth. He thinks every woman tears, needs stitches, and is bedridden after birth just because his sister and mom did.
I hate feeling so helpless. I don't want to be at home with my dad either. My mother just passed away in October 2024 and I suspect that it's because of medical neglect from him. But if I leave, I'll be worried about my dog getting abused the entire time (4 years old), left out in the rain and snow all day with no food or water. The truth is, I would feel safer at a women's shelter around strangers than either of these two options but I'm scared of the backlash from everyone. This isn't fair - neither parties are made up of people I want my daughter around, and if I am mobile, walking, and able to manage my pain alone after birth than I want to take care of her alone with as little people around me as possible.
Neither option is ideal. When thinking about baby's immune system, his family's house is his mom, sister, and two brothers. They all go to work and are exposed to tons of different people, including sister's girlfriend+family. His mom even just told me his younger brother is sick right now as we speak. Compared to here at my house where it's my retired dad, me who is obviously not working, and my dog. I don't even know what information to use to make this decision. Please help.

 | 11 years ago I was at home feeling super lonely. 8 was single, nearly friendless, living with my emotionally unavailable parents, with an undiagnosed chronic illness. I had nothing to do and happened to find out TSTO. I downloaded it thinking of killing time. Had an on-off history with the game because my town got deleted at an update and I downgraded from level 39 to level 10. It was the very first game I dared to spend money on, and I spent quite a lot because of my country's currency opposed to the USD. Now, as it dies off, I can proudly say I am happily married, have a very strong friendship woth amazing people, am independent, in remission, and overall very happy with life. It obviously wasn't because of the game, but it did accompany me during those hard times and I'm thankful for it. It's very sad to see it go. Anyway, thank you if you read this. Before I ramble off the ideas, here are a few things to be aware of before you approach:
- Literacy is an absolute must. I don't claim to be some cunning linguist, but I try to be legible. All I ask is the same. Proper grammar, periods, commas, etc. Multiple paragraphs also desired!
- Be open to romance! I'd like at least a little bit of romance in between the drama and corpo-hating and such.
- PLEASE BE 18+. I'm far too old to be writing with minors. 21+ preferred at this point.
- Be okay with all characters being aged up to be 18+. Which, typically, goes without saying.
Isabelle was born to corporate parents, and raised in a very lavish lifestyle. After she finished university, her father pulled strings to have her work with Arasaka in the medical division. Isabelle became a very talented and trusted ripper.
When she was asked to install a set of Mantis Arms on someone named Sandayu Oda, she didn't think much of it... but the man was gorgeous, he spoke softly and sweetly to her, and before she installed his arms she had agreed to go on a date with him.
... they were married, literally, a week after they met. Because they fell in love hard, deep, and fast. That was 7 years ago.
For reasons that will become obvious later, Sandayu had to have his wife come with him to Night City. It turns into a nightmare when he was attacked while looking after Hanako during the dashi parade, sending him into a coma...
... and everything else is up for us to decide! I would genuinely adore finding someone to play all of this out with. Everything is up for discussion, we can add or remove anything. I would like to make this a roleplay we can both enjoy.
