Apologies if this has been answered but I can’t find any help online. I installed horizon 5 from gamepass on my series S, there’s audio on the load in screen but as soon as the actual game loads it goes quiet. the xbox itself still has sound like in the home menu and other games. I tried messing with audio in settings and restarting the game, I even reinstalled but still nothing.

My friend seems to have assumed that I’m part of the LGBTQ community. While I haven’t officially come out, I have mentioned admiring same-sex celebrities, so it’s not immediately obvious.
However, one friend, lets call them Sam, seems to have picked up on this and started telling other friends behind my back that I’m LGBTQ. I realized this when, during a conversation about a celebrity I admire, Sam signaled to another friend, FriendB, to talk. I overheard Sam telling FriendB that I’m LGBTQ, even though Sam hasn’t asked me about my sexuality yet.
During lunch with our group of friends, Sam started sharing reasons why not to date the opposite sex, mentioning personal experiences and details that I won’t go into. Then Sam pointed to me and one of our openly LGBTQ friends and said, “I don’t know why I’m telling you two this.” Our friends were confused and asked if Sam meant me as well, to which Sam confirmed. Sam then started asking me uncomfortable, explicit questions about my sexuality, and I felt pressured to say I didn’t care about the gender of the person I’d date. Sam made the situation worse by dramatically saying, “Did you just come out to us?” which made me even more uncomfortable. I never wanted to come out, especially when I’m still unsure about myself, and I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it. The more I think about it, the more upset I feel, though I’m not sure if I’m overreacting.
To be clear, the reason I’m uncomfortable with this situation, despite it involving my friends, is because I fear homophobia and being judged for being LGBTQ. I’m scared that my friends will start seeing me differently or act awkwardly around me if they know. For instance, I feel uneasy saying “I love you” to my friends (specifically FriendB mentioned above as I am very close to FriendB) in a platonic way now, especially knowing that Sam has told FriendB about my sexuality as I’m scared FriendB will get the wrong idea. While these are my personal issues with being LGBTQ, I’m unfairly blaming Sam for it. Another reason for my discomfort is that I’m still really confused about my sexuality and need more time to figure it out. I’m not ready to fully confront it yet and need time and space to become more comfortable with myself before I can give my sexuakity deeper thought. I know it’s not that serious of an issue but it has been on my mind for a long time and the more i think about it the more upset and uncomfortable I become, especially given my awkwardness with my friendship with FriendB.

During the Viking age, many Vikings settled in England, interacting with Anglo-Saxons and introducing several words into English, including many common everyday words. However, most Old Norse loanwords aren't documented in Old English, and didn't start appear in writing until the Middle English period, long after the Viking age.
My theory is that Old Norse loanwords were usually considered informal and only used by commoners, especially in places Vikings settled. But after the Normans invaded England, and French became the language of the elite, this meant English no longer had a standard variety and people could speak and write more freely. This intern would allow words that were once restricted to certain regions and social classes to spread across the country, spreading Old Norse vocabulary in Middle English.

I’m working on some Arduino code for a piano kit I picked up. The frequency for a song was provided in an Array, but I wanted Notes. So I copied the freq table into Word’s Copilot and asked it to convert please Notes. It went perfectly. I now have a Notes table. Very cool!

This is a bit of a long story. I'll try to keep it short.
I worked with a PhD student at my university for two years (freshman and sophomore years, I'm an undergrad). She was in her 40s. At the time, I was 17-18
She has had a lot of issues in the past. She was fired from her lab and eventually left the university as a whole after ruining her reputation with her advisor and entire committee.
This whole time, we were working on a research project I loved. We gathered all the data and even presented at a conference.
The conference turned out to be the problem. We traveled together. The whole time I was made very uncomfortable. She spoke badly regarding my personal religious and medical choices (such as telling me to stop taking birth control).
When I was finally home, I never wanted to see her again. That was about when she left the university, and the state. She tried to contact me five months later and immediately said something incredibly offensive regarding my recently deceased pet. I never replied.
I only say all of this because I knew otherwise the immediate answer was going to be "just talk to her again!" I do not feel safe talking to her again.
Herein lies the problem: I spent two years working on this project and gathering data. I damn well want to get a paper out of it. I was always going to be first author, and I have access to all the data, but rightfully, she has some claim to it.
Maybe this isn't even the right sub, but it seems too personal for academia or research. Hoping someone in academia here will be able to help me out.
What do I do? Who do I talk to? Is my research project forfeit because I don't want to talk to this person anymore?
