What a fucking idiot I am. You were never coming back anyway so I guess there really was nothing to lose anymore. Nothing about it was ok but my words are empty cause I did it more than once. More than twice. I’m definitely not gaining anything either. Maybe we both deserved the pain of it all. Maybe not. Everything that passes my eyes or flows in my ears all comes back to you. I hope you like the painting and I’m sorry about the back of it. I’m sorry for the letter in there too. I could never think clearly or rationally when I thought of you. I have to admit I haven’t done much research on it but I picked my name to be Leonis a couple weeks ago and though I might go with Devereux/Devereaux (not sure which spelling is best/ if they are any different?) as a sort of middle/last name.
I’m British through and through so would it be weird to make this my name?

I finally decided to get a ps5 and portal. I hooked up the recommended ethernet cable to the back of my ps5 and into my router, but I'm at my girlfriends house playing on her internet which is great but my portal is still frequently very laggy. I am trying to stay in the gym 3x a week at minimum to strength train. I work a physical job so finding time for rest days and training can be hard.
I basically have started from the bottom up after being out of the gym due to injury for 2 years.
I am wrapping up week 4 and my period starts in 4 days… I came in today and I feel fatigued I definitely can’t do my normal day. So I am dropping the weights, sticking to machines, but still targeting same muscle groups.
Does this sound appropriate? Never in my life was I conscious of my cycle with workouts but as I’ve gotten older and off BC (26) I am realizing how necessary it is.
Any advice? I hate feeling lazy.

I have been trying this shelf stable Chinese ”bacon” (五花肉 is the cut, not sure what this preparation is called in Chinese, the cut is labeled in the SF Bay Area Costco and Chinese grocers as pork belly） in a couple different dishes

I would like get more efficient tenderization of the skin. If I pop the bacon on top of a bed of steam rice with meat side down, which would give it 1 hour total between boiling and steaming (I have an IP ie induction pressure cooker, so some temps will be above 100C), the meat and fat layers fall apart but the skin is still chewy.
So for the next try, I’m considering to do this with skin side down. What else should I consider trying?
Typically fresh 五花肉 can be braised without removing the skin, and the skin breaks down out of the chewy zone. So presumably the cured processed type would be similar — wanted to get some info from others to see if I’m missing something.

For those of you unfamiliar with the British panel show “Would I Lie To You?”, celebrities read statements off of cards, and the other team must decipher if the person is telling the truth or is telling a lie.
In one episode, the captain of team, Lee Mack, reads a card that says he refused to help a man who was stuck in the tree. David Mitchell is the captain of the other team.
Lee: “He was about two thirds of the way up the tree. Now, you probably want to know the height of the tree, don’t ya? The height of the tree was about how high he was plus a third.”
David: “So, he wasn’t two thirds of the way up the tree. He was three quarters.”
The crowd laughs, Lee looks confused.
David: “If he was two thirds of the way up the tree, then the height of the tree was how high he was plus a half.”
This makes no sense to me. The comment section of the video tries to explain that it’s an issue of semantics. But even then, I have no idea what David is talking about.
