I bought a Nikon Z50 off eBay. I didn’t realize at first that it was refurbished as it never said that in the description, it just showed the white refurb box in one of the pictures. (So already a little dishonest which is sketch) It seems to function well though, SC is 5800. I saw refurb Nikon things have the pin prick marks… the camera does not though. The lenses do have the marks. The paperwork for the refurb is in the box. I don’t understand why it does not have the marks?? Is this a red flag?

2025.01.20 02:50 svartauga Update: Christmas Dehydrator Dog Treats = Happy Pup
Title says it all really. The first round of reward treats came out excellent! Some of the chunks of chicken breast & beef heart I cut a tad too thick and came out a bit squishy, which is a learning point for next time. There wasn’t enough to warrant putting them back on for another 1-2hrs, so they’re just going to be used up ASAP.
The chicken feet (not children’s hands, as some people thought 🤣) are still going at 145F for the next 43 hours (5hrs elapsed).
But definitely still gonna keep doing this, as it is a lot more affordable than store bought treats, and is a pretty easy “hobby” comparatively to my other hobbies. Just gotta set it & leave it.

To give some context, I was playing ranked and I'm on silver 2, however I'm stuck at silver 2 and I've been trying so damn hard to climb yet I can't. I've been getting really angry and I swear like a dang sailor.
I gotten into a game where the enemy team was so damn strong that we couldn't push through, it was like their dps was pouring out bullets and had perfect aim, the supports wouldn't die and could heal their Dr. Strange to full hp in a second and the tanks just beat us down and stopped us. I hate it when that stuff happens in competitive games man, it's like pushing against a brick wall.
I gotten so furious that I bashed my keyboard and i proceeded to wail on it like I was Iron Fist beating up a helpless support.
I think the reasons behind my anger is because of my rank and the toxicity surrounding it. I feel less of a person because I'm a low rank player, that i suck and are worthless. These GM players and content creators online think they are incredibly high and mightly and look down and treat lower ranks like non humans. That our opinions and views don't matter, that we're little babies. It's like we are treated as an "other" you know? I tie myself to the rank that I have because I don't wanna be bad, I don't wanna be trash. The only competitive game I'm good at is Splatoon and no one outside of the space takes it seriously so who give a crap?
I love Rivals, I really do, but man, this game brings out the anger that I thought I got over when I said goodbye to Overwatch. Guess not.

2025.01.20 02:50 life-grips Question about midi triggering/e-drum compatibility
So I have an older Alesis Nitro kit that I want to use to trigger pads on my 404, the ultimate vision is to set up the pads in between my acoustic drums and run the Alesis module’s MIDI-out in the 404 so I can trigger samples hands-free while I’m playing. The issue is, I cannot get it to work for the life of me.
I ordered a Boss DIN-5 midi to 1/8” TRS cable, I have it going midi-out from the module to the MIDI-in of the 404. Midi mode A so that I can switch banks for different songs in our set, and I reset the midi note numbers for each drum pad from 36 upward to match the 404’s mapping. I’ve tried switching all of the inputs and outputs, I’ve tried different velocity and note values, I made sure none of the samples were gated so they weren’t just playing too short, and nothing seems to be working. It shouldn’t be the midi cable since it’s brand new and Boss usually has good quality control, and neither the Alesis Nitro manual nor the 404mk2 manual seem to hold any answers.
Basically, does anyone know what the hell I might be doing wrong?? Does anyone have experience with Alesis Nitro or any similar e-drum set and using external modules for the samples?

 | I leased a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit in April of 2024. I thought I was lucky not being included in the battery recall that has plagued so many of you on the site. Aside from some glitchiness, I was mainly problem free. I had a situation several months ago where I went out and the vehicle was dead. I connected a jump box and it fired right up. This last Friday I went to start it and it was dead again. This time I couldn’t use the jump box and even tried to used my wife’s car and it wouldn’t start it. I called roadside assistance ( which is a complete disaster) and no tow truck ever came. I was able to charge the battery (12V) all night and it started Saturday morning so I took it to the dealer. They replaced the 12V battery, flashed some updates and it was good to go. Drove it a couple times Saturday and Sunday for short trips and all was well. Tonight( Sunday) was walking past the vehicle in the dark without the key and noticed that the screen in the car was illuminated. I thought this curious so I got the key and lo and behold the battery was dead again. I’m charging the battery tonight so I can take it to the dealer again in the morning. Personally and ever since the introduction of behemoth, the change to getting knocked down by boss patterns and instead of having a window of 2-3 seconds to get back on your feet, you are forced now like 5-6, and wether this was by design in order to raise the skill floor of players, feels complete garbage with how much fast action happens in the game, and you are forced into kissing the floor, because the pattern said so

When fishing the back bays in the summer, I always get a ton of bites from tiny juvenile black seabass. Keepers in NJ are 12.5" but I've never caught one that size in the back bay/sod banks. Anybody catch them there or do they all move out to deeper water around the 10" mark?
