I bought a 2008 Ford crown Victoria cvpi and noticed it had a trans leak. I got it looked at and my mechanic said it was leaking from the bottom of the dipstick tube and the grommet had to be replaced. We replaced the grommet and it's still leaking because the tube is bent from previous owner but very minor leak is it safe for me to still drive it as long as I keep it topped off

I currently work at a company where I do in home sales with a one call close sales process. I love my company and make great money, but I don’t have much freedom. I work 60-80hr weeks pretty religiously without much PTO.
I’d like more time to put my focus and initiative to building the life that I want (starting “passive” incomes, with more PTO and flexibility). I’m totally okay with taking a pay cut to do this as well.
Is this change difficult? Has anyone been in a similar position? How’d that transition go? Is what I’m asking for unrealistic? Any feedback is appreciated.

2025.01.20 02:51 steveharman Low Pressure Tank Output and DSR+ w/IM Pro Kit Woes
Today I got to field my new (used) DSR+. Last night I tore it down, maintenanced the whole thing, and installed the IM Pro kit. I tested everything in the shop by dry firing a number of cycles, listening for air leaks, etc… all was good!
Then today at the field, I aired it up and immediately could hear a small leak from the reg. I stripped out the reg, flipped the reg seat, lubed the important bits, and put it back together. Gassed it up again and… an even worse leak! At that point I packed it up and played the whole day with the 180r.
This evening, after cleaning all of the other gear, I was prepping to bench strip the thing and rebuild. And then it occurred to me - on the field I had, by chance, grabbed a tank with a Ninja SLP reg on it. Could it be that the tank pressure was too low for the IM Pro'ed DSR+ reg? In the name of Science™ I hooked the SLP tank back up and turned on the ASA. Big ol' leak.
Then I hooked up one of the random 3k steely tanks I keep around for teching/tuning/renegade-woods-balling/etc… and no leak! Switched back to the SLP - leak!
I then went searching The Interwebs to figure out what the input pressure for the DSR+ is supposed to be. I could not find anything official form Dye other than "less than 850psi." Which, yeah, thanks Capt. Obvious. I did find a few Reddit posts where folks mentioned velocity issues with tanks outputting 450psi, but nothing more than anecdote. And another post mentioning that the IM Pro kit causes the reg to operate at a higher pressure with the same reg screw setting (which I now assume is why it's important to zero-out the reg screw when installing the IM Pro kit). But at least that info lines up with my own experience.
So I'm posting this for two reasons:
- In hopes someone has more official word on the expected input pressure is for the DSR+ and DSR+ w/IM Pro Kit.
- In hopes of saving others the frustration I felt, and the lack (so far as I could find) of folks talking about expected input pressure for the DSR+.
2025.01.20 02:51 Koreatown_Amigo I work from home and clearly don't drive enough. Please tell me "definitive" amount I need to drive to maintain 12 volt battery health. I'm getting so many conflicting advice online and in person, from AAA for example.
Basically what title says. I have a 2014 Volt, it's rock solid, and I thought I was driving it enough, like 20 to 40 minutes a week? But today my AAA guy who jumped my car said "4 hours a week!"
I've also heard 90 minutes. I've also heard 2 hours, and 30 minutes a week is enough.
I did a search to see if this topic has been addressed a gazillion times already, didn't see anything...
So what do you guys think? Has Chevy ever said anything definitive, straight from the cars engineers? I also once saw a post saying you don't even have to be driving it, just turning the engine on and letting it run will recharge the 12 volt. Is that true? If so, doesn't matter if it's in electric or hybrid mode?
Thank you! I'm ready to do whatever it takes to prevent this from happening again, even if it means taking longer drives for no reason after work.

I am a 17F and my parents have become super controlling the past few months after getting a boyfriend. My boyfriend 18M is the most amazing person ever and has never done wrong to me, my dad specifically sorta doesn’t like him, my mom likes him. I have 2 jobs, CNA and a companion for an elderly lady a week hours a week based on schedules. I work usally 15 hours a week and my grades are average. I have mostly A’s a few B’s and 2 C’s. My parents assume I don’t try at school and don’t care. I study with my boyfriend because he excels in math and chemistry which I struggle in. My parents now automatically assume we don’t study together because of a few C’s. So now they are changing my curfew and rules to much stricter because of my lack of effort and success. On the days I don’t work I go to my boyfriend’s house and hangout. They also hate that because I don’t spend much time at home which I hate because it’s toxic. And now I’m being nagged for spending. In my eyes I think that since I have 2 jobs, and a high schooler having fun with spending some money is ok. Not to my parents. Tonight my dad made me add up all costs from January which was large because we’ve been going out often. And since he saw the total he is making me tell exactly what I’m doing/ going because I’m not trusted any longer with my own earnings. I was diagnosed with depression, anxiety and ADHD and my mom told me I’m only depressed because my boyfriend Is. Snd then denied when I brought it up to my therapist.
Sorry that was long just needed a backstory. I need help finding out how to navigate my remainder of junior and soon senior year. They make me feel trapped although I’ll be 18 in 8 months and soon enough going to college away from them. I don’t plan on continuing contact because my whole life has been toxic and made me feel lesser for grades. anyone have any parental advice??

Hello everyone! My name is Connor and I thought I would seek some opinions on a dilemma I’ve had for nearly 2 months. I currently do accounting at QMUL, worked my backside off to get there etc etc. but have ran into some problems. The crux of it is I’m considering my options (dropping out and whatnot) Because I as a mentally questionable individual decided despite having the mathematic skills of a 12 year old to pursue a career in finance and do accounting (ultimately for the wrong reasons) So naturally when greeted in lectures by calculus and algebra and stuff a piece of me dies. But let’s list the common problems people typically have with uni that makes them want to drop out in regards to me.
- Not liking the course: I hate my course, never truly wanted to do accounting, cannot do numbers for the life of me, finance people have a tendency to be greedy weirdos, industry is the definition of moral vacuum can’t stand it in honesty. As cool as the concept of the financial system is, there’s a lot that sucks.
- I hate living in and being in East London/London in general whenever you go out your on guard with either crackheads or thieves and it’s just horrendous, the only redeeming feature is the tube and the childish notion that people in London are somehow more important or successful than others.
- I haven’t made a single friend since coming here, somewhat shy but in the first few weeks I made a bloody effort to meet people and make friends, not a single person has decided I’m worth a second conversation. I don’t fit into any “in groups” I’ve joined societies (albeit career-focussed ones) and no one is interested in friendship at all.
My only thing is that this is obviously a monumental decision and coming from a single dad household, the father in question is long term unemployed and we really are at the bottom I really do not want to screw things up for our future. Especially given how hard we’ve worked to get me this far. My dad has made it clear he has no expectations for me to do anything and that he’ll accept whatever happens. But I still have to live with whatever I do, right or wrong.
Apologies if any of this seems incoherent it’s late, I’ll gladly add any details if need be. Hope you’re all doing well at any rate.
