2025.01.20 02:56 robot-magik I Need Help - I Can't Load into a Raid - Server Connection Lost
I just bought Escape from Tarkov yesterday, which is one of the first games I've played on my pc since i got it a couple years ago. I never played with performance settings or Wi-Fi settings until now.
Every time I try to load into a match, one of two things happen:
- I get the "Server Connection Lost" pop-up and it sends me to the title screen (Most Common), or
- My game crashes.
I think I fixed the crashing issues, but it still takes 3 minutes to load the loot drops alone. As soon as it hits 100% I get the server connection error, which wastes 5 minutes of time per match that I can't get into. A video I watched essentially said "set your virtual ram to 16000 and change everything in your NVIDIA control panel." Which changed nothing (outside of the gameplay, which I haven't seen yet).
And I found another Reddit post where somebody said they changed their MTU and never had a problem since. Hence, I changed my MTU from 1500 (which I'm rated for) to 1350. When I test my internet speed I get 430Mb/s download speed and 100Mb/s upload speed. Which brought me to the conclusion that my internet is totally fine.
As for specs, I have 12 GBs of RAM, an AMD Ryzen 7 5700G, a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060. I've been and still am a console gamer for 13 years now, so my PC knowledge is limited.
To sum it up, I have no idea what else to do, and I'm open to suggestions.

I'm aware of the 4 cable method, it is what I am currently using to connect from my helix to my mesa. I have been searching forever on the best way to set up my helix to utilize both built in amps and my tube amp and have been struggling.
I recently saw a video from Rabea Massaad where he was doing this with his Quad Cortex. Basically he has an effects loop setup and when it is enabled it uses fully the amp, and when it is disabled and the amp is enabled it sends the amp signal and only uses the power amp basically giving the best of both worlds.
I think I set this up in my helix, but just wanting to double check from those here way smarter than me on this. What I did seems to work, since the image I have even assigned a button to them so it swaps what is active. However, I'm not convinced that it is right. I think it is close, but has some weird tones that are hard to explain or record. Just doesn't sound as good as it would be if I was doing the same amp standalone. Some amps sound better than others. For example a fender deluxe sounds pretty good, but most amps with gain do not.
Does anyone else use it like this? Any tips or tricks?

Because there are others parts they have nothing to do with FPE, and just my own universe.
So first, why is she in this FPE universe?
Because one,
she wanted to escape her universe, because it was very unstable and also she suffered a lot of trauma there.
So she thought it was for the best.
Her dad also died, but she doesn't know how.
So know she kidnaps people that she knew had relations with him.
And question them.
Usually she kills them after.
Because she doesn't trust any of them to keep it to themselves.
She kept on doing this till she met Trinznot.
Trinznot now helps her try to figure out what happened to her father.
But he was also able to help her stop being as merciless.
She still is less merciful than Trinznot (but weaker).
But it's nowhere as near as bad as it once was.

I’m pretty sure I have a pest on my hands but correct me if I’m wrong! These white things are pretty stuck on there. If I wanted to, and actually I did… scrape one off with my fingernail. But yeah, i have Bio Advanced 3-in-1 systemic stuff if that will work? And again, I have this pretty decently sized plant in water since it was so top heavy its roots got “yanked off” I’m assuming. Advice?
