problem/goal: What should I do before coming out into the real world? What else should I prepare before or after graduating? What are the important things that I should know that are often overlooked?
context: I grew up in a very sheltered environment, and I feel like I'm still unaware of the things I should prepare for (e.g., SSS, Pag-IBIG, insurance, bank, etc.). I'm also not familiar with how important they are and how to obtain them. Will read on that later.
I also read here before that it's a good idea to practice tracking your savings and expenses, so I'll start doing that soon.
How about IDs? I only have a national ID (on paper, because I don't know what happened to the actual ID) and a passport.
I also feel that after I graduate and get a job, I will have to be the secondary provider for my family. While I want that to happen, I also find it somewhat burdensome, especially given the current state of our country. It's not that my family is pressuring me too much; rather, it's more of a self-imposed pressure because they are still supporting me today, and I feel like I still know very little as a young adult. I feel pressured and behind in life, and it's my fault for not realizing this sooner.

I found out today that my family decided without my input about the fate of my father. For selfish reasons, my family is cutting all pain medications to supposedly keep him alive. I know it won’t and it will kill him in agonizing pain. Here is some background my dad of around eighty years of age had a heart attack which included 5 heart events. They brought in a miracle retired surgeon to repair the left side if his heart. More context, he was really sick with an E Coli infection prior and his heart had major issues. It took time before they could even do heart cath surgery. The thing is before and after they had him under heavy sedation (like propro… fuck I can’t spell it…surgery level stuff) and pain management (like Fentanyl). My dad most of his life was also on amitryptaline for sleep and pain. So after the surgeon saved him he was still in recovery for a long time in ICU. They eventually transferred him to general, but he had bad delirium post surgery and I think since he was under to long he might have brain damage. Well they had to put him into a long term recovery branch of the hospital while I was away for a week. Without my knowledge, they decided to cut pain meds since he might have psychosis from being in the hospital too long. Given I know his pain, its genetic it passed down. Without my medications I would end it and I am only in my 40s and he is in his early 80s. The sight of his suffering was awful and I could do nothing. Nothing. I know he is done, because I know the look and body movements. Me and my dad share a lot of qualities. It deeply saddens me that they are doing this. I am in no power to do anything. So I messaged those family members and expressed my disgust with them and how they are handling it. I finally after years of deliberation about how they are, disowned them. I decided I am leaving state after I find a new job and move to the most liberal state with medical weed, better medical, and assisted suicide for when I need it. I know my illness will kill me, and I don’t want my family to have any say in what I do. Only my caring and understanding wife will have say so in my ADR with DNR. I am so saddened I feel broken. I am not asking for advice at all. Just needed to vent before I break. I appreciate all of the loving and understanding people on here. Sorry, I hope this does not sadden anyone. Its just that my dad knows my pain and I associated most with him in the end. He was misunderstood by so many. He was a marine and medic in Vietnam and saved many lives aiding surgeons and risking his life to save injured people under hostile fire situations. He worked hard his whole life to support us and this is what he gets.

2025.01.20 02:43 kingferickstag Brand new Mila from Warranty Replacement and the fan doesn’t work
 | Unsure really what’s going on here and will have to reach out to support again but also wanted to throw this out here and see if anyone else has had this issue. I got a replacement Mila because of a faulty bearing issue, and the day it arrived I plugged it in and it worked fine for about 10 minutes and then boom just stopped doing anything. The fan refuses to spin, even in manual mode set to any setting it will not move. I’ve tried multiple factory resets, just about anything a person could do from home and nothing seems to fix it. what are something that helped you get that grade, and what are something that A and B grade students wish they did? In this may June 2025 i have maths 4024, physics 5054, bio 5090 and chem 5070. i have done like half the syllabus of each subject. for maths i have done done everything except Geometry, Transformations and vectors,Probability, and Statistics. i need to work on the other chapters too ofc but i am pretty sure i am not good at the others i know even too. for physics, like the 6 parts of the syllabus i have done only the first two; Motion, forces and energy, Thermal physics (if u check the cambridge one, page 8 out of 52) for chem, I have done States of matter, Atoms, elements and compounds, Stoichiometry, Acids, bases and salts, The Periodic Table, Chemistry of the environment and Experimental techniques and chemical analysis. but i did all this in school so idk how i am at it now. lastly for bio, i am still taking it's classes even though i have done like 12 chapters out of the 19 in school i am doing the whole syllabus again with this amazing teacher of mine all over again and the remaining i havent done at all. so i am at chap 10 now (the revising it all over) and out of all these i am having tests of these now before we move forward out of which one test is done and i scored great like i used to in school and the second test is today. but i am honestly very worried abt maths and physics (specially the physics that i don't know shit abt bcs the one that i know even i dont rmr anymore). and i am gonna be taking classes for physics from mon too. any teacher notes, pdf or anything suggestions yall? how should i start studying from now onwards? bcs i am so lazy tbh and i need to cover the stuff idk abt at all, and then topicals and yearly too before my first exam on 30th April..

I had family from out of town visit and we went to the range with some other guns that needed attention. My 9mm vector, two Berettas, an AR, and a shotgun. I pushed through my vector luger 124 grain, winchester 115 grain, and Federal 115 no problem. The Federal were causing issues with the Berettas which surprised me that the vector was fine. The shotgun was stupid fun! First we shot slugs and then bird shots, my chest and back are a little sore. I hope everyone else had a great weekend!

I have the extreme violence mod installed and recently I purchased the life and death expansion. I normally only use the extreme violence mod for my vampires I my other saved world (they be stocking up on the hearts! lol) but when I first started playing my human family in Ravenwood, my inheritance lawyer showed back up to the house and murdered their mom!
At her funeral, the game froze so I had to exit and then fix my mods, but when I loaded back up the inheritance lawyer came back and shot up the house killing the two daughters! And then, when I resurrected them because I wasn’t through with those characters, I had my mean sim shoot and kil her, only to have the NEW inheritance lawyer try to kill the father later!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
And yes, I know I can turn off autonomous killing, but it’s just kind of funny, and I saw someone else mention this too. Now that my family is friends with the lawyer it seems ok. Anyone else notice this?

So I’ve never seen the play version of Wicked, but read the book a longggggg time ago. So when the movie came out I watched it, LOVED IT, reread the book, then rewatched the movie, and was disappointed. Anyone else here prefer the book to the movie? And also for those who have seen the play version and read the book, are the differences still that drastic or is it just the movie version? I still love the movie, just wish I could have seen the book version adapted. There’s barely any similarities from book to movie, except the names basically.
(I’m a really big book to movie person, love writing and have always wanted to be a screenplay writer.)
