I’m kinda of new to house plants and I want to know what I can do to support this plant. I’ve had it for a couple months so far (last pic is around when I first got it) and I’ve been trying to figure out what kind of plant it is. I think I’ve come to the conclusion that it is a kalanchoe (if I’m wrong please let me know). And if that’s true that apparently these guys make some beautiful flowers.
So how do I help this guy thrive? The vines have turned up oddly since I’ve had it. Do I let it hang? Should I propagate? If I should propagate, do I just stick a cutting in some water, do I let it crust first? I’m trying to learn.
Any and all help is appreciated!

2025.01.20 02:50 Capable-Rice-1876 Jesus Christ is not God nor equal to his Father, Jehovah God. Jesus Christ is the Son of God and he is firstborn angelic spirit, Michael the Archangel, the commander-in-chief of Jehovah's heavenly army of angels.
Importance of the doctrine
What I said at the beginning is because this identification of Michael as Jesus Christ is just a very secondary point in our understanding of the Bible. And this might sound as splitting hairs, but -as I have already stated in other answers- it is not that Jesus Christ is actually Michael the archangel, but the other way round: Michael the archangel is actually Jesus Christ, God’s son himself.
We understand that “Michael” is just another name Jesus receives in his role of commander of all the angels.
Basis of our understanding
The word archangel means “chief of the angels”. It only appears in singular (Jude 9). So, there is only one chief of the angels or archangel according to the Bible, and he is called Michael.
Revelation 12:7 says that
‘Michael and his angels battled with the dragon’.
So, Michael, in harmony with his title as “the archangel” commands an angelic army. In his commentary about Rev 12:7–12 (Word Biblical Commentary, Revelation 6–16; Bible Study 31, page 654, footnote), NT scholar David E. Aune calls him “the commander-in-chief of the angelic forces.”
In the book of Daniel, Michael is not called “the archangel”, but “one of the foremost princes” and “the great prince.” (10:13, 21; 12:1), which confirms the great authority he has in the spirit realm.
About Jesus, Revelation 19:14–16 shows that he is the chief of God’s angelical army:
“Also, the armies in heaven were following him on white horses, and they were clothed in white, clean, fine linen. And out of his mouth protrudes a sharp, long sword with which to strike the nations, and he will shepherd them with a rod of iron. Moreover, he treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. On his outer garment, yes, on his thigh, he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.”
Jesus is also mentioned leading his angels -just like Michael in Revelation 12:7-, in 2 Tessalonians 1:7, 8:
But you who suffer tribulation will be given relief along with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels in a flaming fire, as he brings vengeance on those who do not know God and those who do not obey the good news about our Lord Jesus.
Also in Mattew 16:27:
“For the Son of man is to come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he will repay each one according to his behavior.”
Another mention of Christ’s coming with his angels, 1 Tessalonians 4:16, is significative:
“Because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first.”
So, in order to stress Jesus’ authority, the Bible says that he speaks with an archangel’s voice. We understand that he speaks with an archangel’s voice because he is the archangel, and we also believe that comparing him with an inferior being wouldn’t make sense in this context.
Some might argue that if having an archangel’s voice means that he is the archangel, having God’s trumpet should mean that he is God. But that would be fallacious, since both comparisons are different. You can’t emphasise someone’s authority by comparing him with an inferior being, but having God’s trumpet is a privilege that does emphasise Jesus’ authority. Obviously, the existence of a symbolic trumpet of God does not mean that God is a trumpet player; it is the king’s trumpeters who play the king’s trumpets. The IVP New Testament Commentary Series, in the commentary about Revelation 8 states: “the traditional trumpet of God is multiplied by seven in the book of Revelation”. Those trumpets are played by seven angels to announce God’s judgements, which doesn’t mean that those angels are God.
And when is this to happen? When will Jesus Christ come with his angels to give relief to God’s people and to bring vengeance on those who do not know God? In Matthew 24:21 and 42 we find:
“For then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again. . . . Keep on the watch, therefore, because you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.”
Yes, this coming would happen during that future great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning. This fits with what Daniel 12:1 states about the powerful prince Michael:
“During that time Michael will stand up, the great prince who is standing in behalf of your people. And there will occur a time of distress such as has not occurred since there came to be a nation until that time. And during that time your people will escape, everyone who is found written down in the book.”
So, in a time of unprecedented distress or tribulation, the powerful Michael will act in favour of God’s people.
Jehovah’s Witnesses do not like cherry-picking verses, but analizing all information in the Bible about a topic, so that the Bible interprets itself. With this evidence, Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that it is logical to conclude that Michael the archangel is none other than Jesus Christ himself.
Are JWs alone in this interpretation?
Some answers give the impression that this understanding is just an outlandish idea JWs have just because. But a number of Bible commentaries have no problem of associating Jesus with Michael:
Daniel 12:1 (a) The angel here notes two things: first that the Church will be in great affliction and trouble at Christ's coming, and next that God will send his angel to deliver it, whom he here calls Michael, meaning Christ, who is proclaimed by the preaching of the Gospel. (from Geneva Notes, © 2003, 2005, 2006.)
Dan 12:1 For the children - The meaning seems to be, as after the death of Antiochus the Jews had some deliverance, so there will be yet a greater deliverance to the people of God, when Michael your prince, the Messiah shall appear for your salvation. A time of trouble - A the siege of Jerusalem, before the final judgment. The phrase at that time, probably includes all the time of Christ, from his first, to his last coming. (from John Wesley's Explanatory Notes on the Whole Bible 1754-1765)
Daniel 10:13 but, lo, Michael one of the chief Princes, came to help me; called in the New Testament an Archangel, the Prince of angels, the Head of all principality and power; and is no other than Christ the Son of God, an uncreated Angel; who is "one", or "the first of the chief Princes" (x), superior to angels, in nature, name, and office; he came to "help" Gabriel, not as a fellow creature, but as the Lord of hosts; not as a fellow soldier, but as General of the armies in heaven and earth, as superior to him in wisdom and strength; and he helped him by giving him fresh counsels, orders, and instructions, which he following succeeded: '' (From John Gill's Exposition of the Entire Bible Dr. John Gill (1690-1771)
Daniel 10:13 He adds next, Behold! Michael, one of the chief leaders or princes, came to strengthen me Some think the word Michael represents Christ, and I do not object to this opinion. Clearly enough, if all angels keep watch over the faithful and elect, still Christ holds the first rank among them, because he is their head, and uses their ministry and assistance to defend all his people. But as this is not generally admitted, I leave it in doubt for the present, and shall say more on the subject in the twelfth chapter. From this passage we may clearly deduce the following conclusion, — angels contend for the Church of God both generally and for single members, just as their help may be needed. This we know to be a part of the occupation of angels, who protect the faithful according to Psa_34:0 (Psa_34:8.) They fix their camp in a circuit round them. God, therefore, plants his angels against all the endeavors of Satan, and all the fury of the impious who desire to destroy us, and are ever plotting for our complete ruin. Also, as far as I know, Adventists, even though adopted trinitarianism in the mid-twentieth, still believe that Michael is another name for Christ.
Then, what about Hebrew 1:5?
The main purpose of Hebrews, is to show the superiority of Christianism over Judaism. Hebrew Christians had to bear the scorn of Jewish religious leaders, who mocked their lack of studies and low social background and the fact that the leader of their insignificant sect was a mere carpenter who died ignominiously, in contrast with their glorious religion, their Law given by angels, their prophets, their temple, their high priest, etc.
According to Matthew Henry’s Bible Commentary, “Many Jews had a superstitious or idolatrous respect for angels, because they had received the law and other tidings of the Divine will by their ministry. They looked upon them as mediators between God and men, and some went so far as to pay them a kind of religious homage or worship.”
Dr. Barclay, states that in the first chapter of Hebrews, “[the writer] is concerned to prove [Jesus’] superiority over the angels.” (p. 16, The Letter to the Hebrews, Revised Edition, 1976, The Westminster Press.) One might argue, by the way, that if Hebrew Christians believed in the Trinity, they wouldn’t have needed this explanation to prove that Jesus is superior to the angels.
Hebrews 1:1–5 states:
“Long ago God spoke to our forefathers by means of the prophets on many occasions and in many ways. Now at the end of these days he has spoken to us by means of a Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the systems of things. He is the reflection of God’s glory and the exact representation of his very being, and he sustains all things by the word of his power. And after he had made a purification for our sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. So he has become better than the angels to the extent that he has inherited a name more excellent than theirs. For example, to which one of the angels did God ever say: “You are my son; today I have become your father”? And again: “I will become his father, and he will become my son”?”
So, God had given his message through prophets and angels, but now he did it through his very Son. (The quote by John Gills above gives a nice explanation.)
Yes, we agree that Jesus became better than the angels. He is no ordinary angel, he is the chief of all angels, the Son of God himself.

I’ve suffered from Hyperemesis Gravidarum since the beginning of this month already. I don’t need to tell everyone here how bad my experience has been since you all know for a fact what it’s like.
My husband and I have a kid that is small (4 months) and I can’t deal with being temporarily disabled really well while taking care of her. It has brought me to the point of facing alot of regretful and depressed emotions. I think our kid has been experiencing alot of emotional conflicts due to me needing to nap alot and not being able to spend time with her.
It’s physically and emotionally damaging to me during times where I’m napping because I need to sleep and downstairs of our home I hear her screaming. I would do everything possible to feel well again and spend time with my kid.
My husband doesn’t even need to say it, he’s behaving like if I’m simply loafing and giving illogical reasons as to why I have to take a nap. He’s behaving like if my naps are simply to not clean around the house and loaf. Recently I told him I would go and lay down again and said sorry for not being able to help due to me being drained and really sick and he told me that this cleaning situation wasn’t easy to deal with. While also telling me that it’s hard for him having to clean because of work.
Truthfully, I will say that I would choose having to go work and come back home to clean in comparison to being queasy and vomiting every hour so yeah.
I don’t know what to do whatsoever to make him acknowledge that what I’m experiencing isn’t something I chose & I’m really depressing due to all of this.
For further context, I do take care of my baby. I don’t just leave her there, I feed, change, do everything for her right when it’s needed no matter how I feel. She even naps with me since she’s still in the sleeping stages, she’s such a great baby but getting up is a hassle. When my husband has her, he will just let her cry and I refuse to allow that so I go get her regardless. I am 24/7 with her, I don’t regret that at all and I will never consider her a bother. It’s just hard to do in this state. His excuse is: “she only knows how to stay calm with you.” Lies, she does great with everyone except him because he lacks patience.
This is my second time going through HG, he wasn’t like this the first time around.

Jeg fikk en C, en E og en F, som sjokkerte meg. F karakteren er den eneste jeg føler er urettferdig, så jeg har søkt om å få den revurdert. Dette er også det største faget, og teller for 50% av studiepoengene for det semesteret. Jeg dret meg ut, men gjort er gjort.
Spørsmålet nå er hva jeg burde gjøre fremover i tid. Jeg hadde planer om å satse på en A i alle fagene, og føler meg helt ekstremt nedfor. Jeg er usikker på om jeg burde gå semesteret på nytt igjen, kun for å få en ny sjanse på karakterene. Er det liksom verdt å ha en bachelor i cybersikkerhet hvis snittet mitt ligger på rundt D? Har hørt at karakterer har lite å si i forhold til erfaring, men når jeg egentlig ikke har erfaring å snakke om utenom kommende praksisperiode, vet jeg ikke om det blir mulig å få en fot inn i døren når det kommer til arbeidslivet. i tried dialing in an espresso using the same beans i had used last week, but last weeks beans were roasted in mid december, and the beans i'm using today are a fresher roast (early january).
with the beans from last week (mid december roast) i was using a 1:2 ratio (22 grams dose : 44 grams yield) extracting in about 28 seconds, but now i'm not getting the same results and i don't know which parameter i should change.
any ideas?

UT is my dream and top school and I really hope I can get in. My decision got postponed to Feb 15, sadly so now I am getting more worried.

RAJAT DALAL: He achieved what he came for. He managed to show his different sides of his personality and win the Heart of the People. He has gained the MAXIMUM from the show. Janta ka Dil jeet liya, Har poll mein be it contribution wise inside ya popularity wise outside, he was on Top. Probably the Most Likeable and Best contestant ever to enter Bigg Boss. The only person who was most deserving and most popular on the show. But, the makers robbed him off the trophy. But, like they say: Haar kar jeetne wale ko Baazigar kehte hai. This has only managed to bring him even more sympathy and support.
AVINASH MISHRA: i hated him, i dont think lot of people like him either. But we cannot deny that he managed to grab eyeballs. For an upcoming actor, he managed to get Fame and Attention.
LOSERS
VIVIAN DSENA: He was the Biggest Star to enter the show. Channel ka OG Laadla. But, unfortunately, he gained nothing from the show. Except Ridicule. As if it was not embarrassing for him to be constantly pitted against someone who was way below his league as an Actor, he even lost the Trophy to him. Or rather was robbed of the Trophy by the Channel who he gave 14 years to.
KARANVEER: The Actual Laadla of the makers. He won the "Karanveer Mehra Show", NOT Bigg Boss. Kyunki he never won BB, he only won his own scripted show as a BB plant on the show. What makes it even worse is: He has been the Biggest MCP, Misogynist who kept threatening, CA women and has been the most aggressive person on the show especially towards women. They covered up his assault on Sara just to save his ass. And he was SO arrogant after it that he didnt even deny it and said it was between him & makers. Which shows he was a Plant by the makers.
From being spoonfed, pumped up by line of hosts or guests, covering up his violence, threats & distasteful remarks on women, bringing Paid media to pull down others before Finale, the makers did it all to make him win. Infact, many hinted that he is given noted in confession rooms. Somehow, he even knew what was happening outside the house, he knew he would make it to Top 5 even if Vivian himself was not sure.
So, even if he won the Trophy, it will take him a lifetime to justify this SCAM.
Bcoz he was neither Deserving as a contestant nor Popular as a TV star. For the kind of backroom backing he has had from makers, his win has become a joke on other Deserving contestants like Rajat & Avinash or Popular contestants like Rajat & Vivian. The credibility of the show has hit an Alltime Low.
BIGG BOSS: The Biggest loser is Bigg Boss makers themselves. It is not as if the show had any great reputation to be fair to begin with. But, Gauhar still managed to win over Channel Laadli, Tanisha.
This time, the amount of spoonfeeding, Partiality, Bias, Cover ups, Biased narratives and even the winner was so Fixed that the show has lost even 0.1% credibility it had. On Top of it, the way, they acted as Misogynists slutshaming, character assassinating women be it Kashish or Chahat along with the Men who were doing was Disturbing to watch. The way they covered up Sara's assault by Karanveer also showed how pathetic they are.
The TRPs are already falling down, with such a Rigged Fixed winner, am sure, they will not get any Firebrand Influencer again on the show. Who they can use for Content in future.
Even fans of TV Actors like Vivian have now understood that Audience votes matter nothing. The channel will make whoever they want as their winner.

I'm currently trying to decide if I should run OS2 (8 or 12 or 16) MTP or duplex LC fiber in my home, with the goal of 100G networking. I'll be running conduit as well, but I'd rather not have to pull new fiber all else being equal.
I was looking at the cost of various 100G transceivers for OS2, and I found the following:
Similarly, sometimes I've seen MTP-16 optics be cheaper than MTP-12 for the same speed, fiber type, and distance.

So I'm out of syringes until the next trip to Michigan which probably won't be till 4:20, except for my single holy syringe of enigmas... I planned on having enough to experiment until spring, but mother earth said I deserve to see some contamination with what I had set ....
A buddy of mine is growing them right now and they look beautiful, were both still trying to figure out exactly when they are ready to pick. One thing I have noticed though is they seem to be a thirsty son of a bitch... Both cakes he has going on the first flush, have probably lost 30% of the physical size judging by how much it shrank from the walls.
Anyone else have some good notes to take precautions to? They love high CO2, and hella water... I don't think my experiment box will do this strain any justice without running the mister for way longer periods.
