I want to buy a laptop and I'm between a few...
I have a surface pro 8 right now and looking to upgrade. I'm going to be graduating soon as an engineer.
I like the surface pro with the functionality with the pen. So in considering the surface pro 11th edition. I was also considering the surface laptop, but the issue I have with it is the processor and it's compatibility with apps.
So my other option I'm considering is the dell xps. Which I really like too.
Any recommendations?

Look, jagex, y'all came up with some really dumb ideas.
That being said, give me a 20$ membership that includes 3 memberships and I'm in.
I have a main, an iron, and like to run a pk pure now and then. That being said, I only ever have one membership at a time and most of the time it's through bonds.
You give me 3 mems for something like 20$ I'm down. I'll pay with real money not gp.
Nothing else. security, support, that kinda stuff, that's an expectation for ever account. You say you want to give us more for more, this is how. Not ads, not extra support, not names bs, whatever. Simple is that.
Also laughable that you guys listed added memberships for a higher price than the base membership. Every other business seems to understand that buying in bulk lowers costs. You for some reason thought the opposite lol.

Hi, Maybe this doesn't exist. My 80yo mom is looking to move closer to me in SF. She doesn't want to live in a dense urban setting but within an hour or so drive of the 94110. She still drives, doesn't need any caregiving, so she's open to a regular apartment. She's not low income but definitely can't afford Rossmoor, Vi or the like. I don't know where to start looking. 2025.01.20 04:14 Serendipitous_Quail Redesigning Olimar's cringe Classic Mode. SSBU.
Okay so normally i don't like to do these types of "serious" or more likely "detailed" posts, but i guess there is a first time for everything.
Anyways. Have you noticed how, despite Ultimate's Classic mode being supposedly personalized for each individual character, the space-theme is plasted on top of 5 characters? Samus, Fox, Olimar, Rosalina and Ridley all share this theme, of course with some variations, but it's almost the same theming anyways... Space.
I'm really not a fan of this, as Fox, Ridley and Olimar could've been done better instead of just "haha spacey bois" so this ends up taking out some individuality points for them. In this case, i'm going to rework Olimar's Classic Mode, because he's my favorite character.
Also quick disclaimer, this redesign features a DLC character, but the reason why is because this Classic Mode redesign is hypothetical as if what would happen if these DLC characters were added in the base game by default? But if you don't like it, that's okay, i'll do an alternative version in the comment section without a DLC character. Now, let's start...
First of all, since the space theme is way too overused, my idea is to change it to something that is equally representative of the character, but more original. This new theme would be...a nature-themed aesthetic! Because nature plays a major role to the Pikmin franchise; in fact most of its theming is so nature related that the logo for the Pikmin series in Smash Bros is a 5 petal flower. This nature-theme is something that hasn't really been done before, as the closest thing to a nature-themed Classic Mode would be Duck Hunt's Classic Mode "Dog, Duck, Zapper" which specializes against animals and Miis in Fursuits, but that's about it, and any coincidence is very loose.
This means that the name of the Classic Mode would be changed from "Planetary Explorer" to "Space-Bound Botanist" to represent Olimar's relationship with the pikmin, which are plants.
In this mode, you'd fight against characters that are either related to, or have a big connection towards nature, but mostly towards plants. The fights would go something like this=
1. Villager and Isabelle on Tortimer Island. This is because in Animal Crossing, activities like catching bugs and mostly gardening are key parts of the franchise, and they're just way too nature-related to pass up. I chose Tortimer Island in particular because this map is very close to Tropical Wilds, a tropical island-themed area from Pikmin 3. Music: Tortimer Island Medley.
2. A Red, Yellow and Blue alt small Kirbys on Ω form Green Greens. Green Greens is forest-themed, and the 3 small colored kirbys are representative of the Red, Yellow and Blue Pikmin from Pikmin 1. All this also creates a parallelism with Pikmin 1's first proper area, The Forest of Hope. Music: Forest Stage.
3. Piranha Plant x6 in Golden Plains. Piranha Plants are... well, plants... so... Bottom Text. Music: Athletic Theme - New Super Mario Bros. 2
4. Red-alt, giant Ivysaur on Pokémon Stadium. Ivysaur is a Grass/Poison-type pokemon so because of the Grass part alone it fits well with Olimar's new nature-themed classic mode. Ivysaur is giant and with a red alt because like this, it is somewhat akin to a Bulborb. Also Pokémon Stadium can switch into the Grass version as an extra touch. Music: Battle! (Wild Pokémon) - Pokémon Ruby / Pokémon Sapphire.
5. Red-alt Palutena on Reset Bomb Forest. Red-alt Palutena, combined with the stage, are a reference to the character Viridi, the Goddess of Nature from the Kid Icarus series. Hypothetically i could add Dark Pit aswell because of his affiliation with the Gorces of Nature, but i think that would be overselling the idea, so if you'd like Dark Pit to appear or not it's up to you i guess. Music: Wrath of the Reset Bomb.
6. Alph on Garden of Hope (if playing as Olimar) // Olimar on Distant Planet (if playing as Alph) A tweaked version of the og classic mode, as now the map and the music changes depending on the character you're fighting. Musics: Garden of Hope [Remix] // Stage Select - Pikmin 2.

Final. Rathalos. Rathalos is chosen because of 2 reasons. First of all, i'm tired of Master Hand as a boss for almost every character. Secondly and most importantly, this is also because Rathalos is like most Pikmin enemies and bosses, in the fact that they are not really "monsters" or "villains" or "evil creatures" and they're just predatorial animals that do what they need to do for survival. Music: RoaRathalos.
Anyways, that's about it, Hypothetically i could add an extra boss for the end of his Classic Mode, like a Sovereign Bulblax, but i didn't want to bloat this idea too much. Plus the adding of more bosses would work better as an individual post. Anyways... Hope you like it and tell me if there's anything you'd like to change.

For me with POTS, it always feels like a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation. For example; I'm currently ill with some virus, (I don't know what; COVID, RSV, Flu A & Flu B came back negative) and when I get sick, it usually triggers tachycardia in me. Well, last night, I passed out left and right and my BPM was almost 200. I ended up calling 911, rushed to the hospital, ran all of the tests, they gave me 5mg of Lopressor intravenously, and when it knocked my heart rate down from SVT levels to "mild" tachycardia levels, I was given the whole "you're stable now so we feel comfortable sending you home" schtick. I was told to take my usual Atenolol in the morning and whatever.
Problem is, yes; the Atenolol is great for reducing my heart rhythm while I'm active and during the day, HOWEVER this all changes at night, and my heartbeat turns into uncomfortable bradycardia and makes me scared to fall asleep.
I only took a quarter of a 25mg pill because duhhh I have tachycardia, I should be taking something for it.
Like I said, it was only a freaking quarter of a pill.
And it's enough to send my heart-rate into the low 40s and cause me to jolt awake, gasping for breath, feeling hot and cold waves shoot all throughout my body, and of course when I jolt awake, my heart rate shoots right back up to anywhere from 85-105 BPM, causing me to feel even MORE dizzy and lightheaded.
Seriously, does anyone know what I can do?? I'm at such a point where I can't wait a week for an appointment. I can't wait another night. My cardiologist retired back in December and the cardiologist he referred me to can't see me until MAY. I'm so scared for my health. If I were to go to the hospital and demand more be done, I'll just get turned away again because my D-Dimer and Troponin levels are normal and they will tell me that there's nothing they can do. I can't afford another Uber to take me to an appointment this month, I have nobody willing to drive me to an appointment, I'm not even sure if I can afford a copay right now. But I feel like if I don't get help tonight or tomorrow that I'm going to die or something serious is going to happen to me. I'm crying so hard right now and feeling like I'm hanging on by less than a thread. All I want to do is sleep but I can't because I'll just keep getting shook awake again from my heart. Someone help me please..
