My 6 month old kitten has started sneezing over the past couple days and today it’s really gotten worse, it depends because usually she won’t sneeze for an hour and then she’ll sneeze like 10 times in 3 minutes. not much other symptoms, maybe more watery eyes but nothing standout, but i know cats can be good at that. she jumped in the toilet a few days ago and freaked the fuck out when she did so i wonder if she inhaled some water. anyways she has a vet appointment on the 28th for her second round of shots, but that’s over a week away, should i be taking her to a vet sooner then that or do you think it’d be okay until then?

Has anyone else not received an email with their Hottest 100 Votes? I’ve checked my spam and nothing. For context, I had my votes lined up but forgot to hit submit last night. However, I do know I had ticked the “submit for me if I forget by the deadline” option. I’m thinking this possibly might have something to do with that ( but I also don’t understand why this function is there if it never sends you confirmation?)

So I’ve posted in here before and I would say my boyfriend is getting better about his addiction. So much so that I haven’t really had to ask or talk to him about anything. With the recent “is TikTok banned or unbanned” fiasco I had deleted TikTok. Mainly so I can no longer have the attention span of a squirrel but besides the point.
We were talking and he said that it’s working again and I just replied “oh cool not like I can download it again because it’s not in the App Store” and he just sounded really happy that I couldn’t download it again. I made the comment of “well now how am I supposed to look at who you follow” and it was supposed to be a ‘haha it’s not a good joke but I get it.’
Instead he goes “well I don’t need to be monitored you treat me like I’m a child.” And I was honestly baffled because what? I only did it when he was straight up lying to my face about liking, following or even saving photos and videos.
What’s your take?

Hi all! I'm very new to this, and am doing a heap ton of research before growing my first batch of Blue Oysters soon.
I learned recently that when it comes to propagation, if enough generations pass you will eventually get an unviable mushroom mycelium. I've seen various sources on how far you can take this, ranging from 3 generations to as many as 6.
What I'd like some clarification on is what exactly constitutes a new generation? Ideally, I'd like to be able to propagate the same spawn as much as possible, to mitigate recurring costs of having to buy more over and over. Here is how I think it works, but please correct me if I am wrong.
-Method 1: I buy some mushroom spawn from a supplier, which we will call G1 for this purpose. If I use all of that spawn to inoculate some substrate, that substrate would be G2. After 2-3 fruit harvests from that substrate, I could use the spent substrate to incolulate another batch of fresh substrate, which would then be G3. I might be able to repeat this process one more time, which would then be G4.
-Method 2: Instead of using G1 to inoculate substrate for fruiting, I instead do a grain-to-grain transfer to make multiple batches of spawn, all of which would be G2. Each batch of G2 can then be used to incoculate substrate for fruiting, which would then seperately each be G3. After 2-3 fruit harvests from that substrate, I could use the spent substrate to inoculate another batch of fresh substrate, which would then be G4. If I repeated this process once more when this substrate is spent, then the final batch would be G5.
Assuming this is correct, I can definitely see how method 2 in particular would be very useful to get more bang for your buck on your mushroom spawn. But say I don't have the capacity to grow that many batches of fruiting mushrooms all at once, then how would I store the extra spawn without it dying? I imagine freezing would kill it, but I would hope there's something I could do.
Additionally, I have heard of using the stems of fruited mushrooms to create more spawn. In terms of generation count, would this differ at all from using the spent substrate as an inoculation source? For instance, if I harvested fruit from G2, and used some of that fruit to create a new spawn, would that spawn be G2, or would it be G3? Would doing this "save" me an extra generation, or would I end up at the sane point as if I had just used the spent substrate as an inoculation spurce?
