So i’ve been thinking. Is it a coincidence that some people are so poor, live on the street and are struggling so much? Or people who get sick, especially kids? Do you think there’s a deeper spiritual meaning behind that or are those simply the consequences of their actions/karma from past lives? (speaking of people on the streets). Is it really possible that some people have zero purpose? It’s kinda hard to accept that some people have more important “missions” on this earth, while someone’s “fate” is to sleep on the street? Just wondering!

2025.01.20 10:32 TheAce0 Day 3 after a 5+ year long break: Some things are better but still need help with others!
On my previous post where asked for help with a bunch of things I was doing wrong, I received some helpful comments from GopheRph, DayVDave, and bob_f1 which I tried my best to implement when I was on the slope again last Thursday. Also big thanks to anon67543 and KravenX42 for your advice on my post about downsizing. I found an excellent deal on a barely-used 147cm 2020 Capita Space Metal Fantasy Board and took that one with me; the difference was genuinely night and day. I had significantly less trouble initiating turns & balancing, and felt like I was much more in control especially on slushy & icy patches. The board felt a lot more "reliable" at speeds where my previous board would simply "give up", and so, I had a very good time in general. I fell & crashed a LOT less (whenever I did, it was usually clear to me what I had done wrong), had about three runs without a single crash, and felt much more confident overall.
I took my 360º camera with me and managed to record three of my ten runs (from two different perspectives). The video is quite long since I left the entire runs in. I am still having some trouble with my heel-to-toe-edge transition. On the slope, it didn't feel like I was counter-rotating, but when I looked at the footage, it's pretty clear that I am still using my upper body to whack the board out from behind me. It's gotten a LOT better - there are a few transitions that don't involve counter-rotation, but they're few and far in between. I also find it very hard to turn without counter-rotating when the slope starts getting steeper and mushier; this is mostly a fear issue since I don't yet trust myself to execute curves properly and am scared of unintentionally accelerating too much too fast.
I'm heading to Altaussee with a bunch of friends coming weekend and have booked a day course for my SO and myself. I'm hoping that it will help me identify and fix whatever I am doing wrong.
In the mean time, I'd love to ask for feedback from you guys - especially if there's something specific that I should focus on with the instructor, or if there's something particular I should mention / ask.

Ich habe bereits im Oktober mit den ersten Bewerbungen angefangen und bis heute schon locker 50 bis 60 verschickt, 90% davon kommen mit automatischen Absagen wieder zurück.
Ich habe Elektro- und Informationstechnik studiert und war auch unterm Studium aktiv als Werkstudent tätig, also mein Lebenslauf sollte wie ich meine nicht komplett kacke sein.

I currently work for a SaaS company and am looking to make a change. I recently watched the Netflix series Salt, Acid, heat, fat and was inspired by the episode on focaccia. It reminded me how much I love cooking and I would like to take classes or go to school to learn the art of baking focaccia's.
Alternatively, I would be open to interning at bakeries that bake focaccia and learn in real-time. For example, I came across this place called Revello Focacceria and Pasticceria, when I was searching for focaccia places in Liguria. Are there any bakeries that offer this?

I told them how easily frustrated I was. I told them that I was lashing out at every given chance. I did it and now I’m almost too calm when something upsets me because I’m now able to rationalise. What have you done for yourself? You made me think I was crazy. That I was insecure. When I found out the truth about the cheating, about your son, about the talking stage you had behind my back? What did you do? You ran. You told everyone I was trying to ruin your relationship with your son because I told his mum the truth. That we had a daughter. I was with you for 5 years and you were seeing her for months behind my back. I’m no longer bitter and if the easiest option is for you to keep me blocked that’s fine but leaving your daughter to grow up without a father is the lowest thing you could do. I’m not angry for what you did to me. Our girl however that’s a different story I’ve fought to have you pay toward her upbringing and I hope you know I’m not doing it to make you pay for cheating or emotionally abusing me. I’m doing it to show my child exactly how you treat a man that’s put you down for 5 years. I’m showing her that she doesn’t have to be a doormat. I hope when you get out of prison for not paying that it will give you a different perspective. It might be too much to ask but I hope you shape up for both your son and your daughter!

Hi I'm an 18 year old choosing between my UCAS offers. I got an offer from Courtauld, UCL, Edinburgh, and St. Andrews all for History of Art.
They all have their ups and downs for me: Edinburgh and St. Andrews are cheaper and are for Masters undergrad in just four years. But then the London schools have the geography and resource advantages. But honestly I don't think these are big deals, I just want to know what the Art History job market in the UK prefers now.

Hi everyone, so I did something pretty stupid this morning. I’ve recently set up a YouTube channel with the hopes of getting monetised one day. In preparation I set up an Adsense account however, I quickly came across users saying you shouldn’t do this in advance as it can cause issues when getting approval on YouTube.
I did manage to close the account, I received a confirmation email. I managed to do this without verification of my address (I assume as I just set up the account). Although I’ve closed it I’m now worried this may cause an issue when applying for my YouTube monetisation. Any advice?

I understand he wants to get revenge against the greedy rich for ruining him, but his actions are something I find hypocritical and literally disgusting.
One thing is how he thinks money should begone to make greed disappear forever. I find that stupid because Ryusui from Dr. Stone explains how money is just a mere tool people use. So the problem does not lie in the money itself, but the people who use it for their own ends; in nefarious ways. It’s the reason why Bargello is not as corrupt or malicious as the other greedy rich people.
Also, hasn’t he been acting like the greedy people he hates? He is doing that with his family’s secret wealth.
Then there is his other bad factor that fuels his hypocrisy which is his “kill or be killed” mentality; wherein he kills greedy noble in ways that can be described as repulsive, morbid, and literally and figuratively disgusting.
- He would kill any of them in ways that are excruciating whether it be Judah’s former slave master by cutting him into eight pieces or stabbing Scarabe numerous times until he was an unrecognizable corpse.
- This murderous insanity also seems to be a bad influence to his followers like Judah as his battle sprite has him covered in blood and the latter believes that he is a “hero” and messiah who saves people from slavery and greed when he is just a fanatical murderer.
- I mean, this vicious, cruel, hypocritical, disgusting, and deranged cycle of killing rich people reminds me of the Demons from Demon Slayer.
- Heck, if Tanjiro from said series saw this, he would angrily lecture Oshka and the Have-Not for such hypocrisy.
Also as a side note, when Oshka said he will “pull off Bargello’s skin”, I thought it as literal by basing it off his murderous actions.
