Stress acts in the same way. Usually one individuals stress levels triger a physiological response in others around them. This has been observed in the workplace as well as at home.
Stress leads to weight gain. The hormone called cortisol is released when we're stressed, this hormone in turn causes an increase in fat storage in the body. My mum suffered from chronic stress and despite our diet being generally healthy our family was always overweight.
Yes there are other factors at play when it comes to being overweight but I wanted to highlight how mental health is sometimes overlooked when discussing obessity. The body and mind are interlinked.

Hi all, I am trying to choose which university to go to for exchange and was just wondering if Shanghai University, Sun Yat Sen University in Guangzhou and Beijing Institute of Technology were competitive to get into for locals?
Because where I am from in Sydney Australia, there are some universities which accept almost anyone and give bonus entry points to those who live within 20kms of the university zone... making it easy for them to enter. So was just wondering whether these 3 universities were easy to get into for locals? Or are they competitive to get into?

Does Beehiiv have an internal recommendation system similar to Substack?
I was on Substack website and they mentioned that Substack recommendation feature drives something like 30% of new subscribers ( I don’t remember the exact number tbh ) and I thought this is a really cool feature, especially if someone is trying to build up a new newsletter and they don’t have a lot of subscribers yet.
So I was just wondering if Beehiiv has a similar feature, maybe it’s called something else? Maybe it’s an explore page or something?

I'm trying to create the above table ---> I have all the column names and data okay, but I'm trying to build an rtable with just text.
For example,
I'm trying to create a single row with 6 blank columns (blue box):
"Number of Subject with Liver Safety Findings"
The top_left() function in rtables is flimsy because it adds the text to the upper-left of the red-box.
I'm trying to then create the red box itself with this row:
n/N (%) n/N (%) n/N (%) (95% CI) (95% CI) (95% CI)
aligned with the column.
Then I'd use rbind() to bind the rows with just text to the data rows (I've used rbind() and cbind_rtables() to construct the table.
There's got to be an easier way than create an entire dummy text variable and going through the basic_table(), build_table functions, etc.
Please let me know if you have any ideas! Thank you so much!
