I've been painting with oils for a few months now. I have limited space so my preferred surface is primed watercolor paper (i'm mostly a watercolor artist so i'm really comfortable with paper). However recently i found out a small local company that sells rolls of primed and gessoed canvas for really cheap and it looks good (70% linen, 30% cotton with nice texture. ) I wonder if i can just cut a piece of it and tape it on my painting surface and paint like that? Then eventually if i like a painting enough to just glue the canvas to some nice stiff surface instead on stretching it on bars ?(also what surface would you recommend ?)

I read some posts from ALGheads about how it's best not to translate in your head and one way to avoid is to get yourself a bit mentally exhausted to avoid an overactive conscious mind. As I understand it, the ALG ideal for acquiring a language is to turn your brain off and just enjoy your baby content. Which is kind of tough for a lot of people. And that leads into problems like people saying "Oh you have an accent because you didn't do ALG right, you shouldn't have been thinking," and that's not really falsifiable and makes them look like cult-members even if they're right.
So with the idea in mind that conscious thinking is the devil. I've been doing 2 hours a day of mathacademy (which is basically a smart online textbook with non-stop math-learning right at the limits of your knowledge) before I do my input, and I find that I translate in my head less. This could just be a natural progression or it could be because I'm really just not in the analyzing mood after 2 hours of focused deliberate practice. It's 120 XP on mathacademy which genuinely means 2 hours totally focused on problems.
I was going to study on mathacademy anyway because I like the idea of having some secret method ahead of other people that lets me learn math quicker (Yes I know this is why people join cults), but I'm just curious what you people thought. I'm not planning to stop since I'd like to work my way up to mastery of all undergraduate level math, but I'm interested to see if you think it's helping, hurting, etc. with acquisition.
Also, I've seen some people recommend getting intoxicated for their input. What's up with that? I'd think the memory hinderances would make it impossible.

Essentially if the policy allows two absences per three months and the employee has two absences due to FMLA and one due to an unrelated reason in a three month period, is that treated as if the employee has a single absence and cannot be disciplined?

My boyfriend has been moderating his drinking really well for the past few months but just last night he drunk loads as he has been feeling a lot of stress lately.
And I'm really worried he got spiked or something as he was super out of it. He couldn't speak properly and I tried to ask him who he was with, and on the phone a few hours back he said he was sorting things out with an old friend. He could barely speak when he got back and I got him into bed, he couldn't remember this friends name. It was either someone he shouldn't have been with, or he was just really drunk and I'm so worried.
I want to help him, and when he gets stressed he just turns to alcohol and sometimes drugs too.
People here who have partners with alcohol problems, this is a bit of a selfish question, but, how do you deal with the worry and stress? I have been up since 5:30am worrying about him and I'm starting my work day early now at 8am but I doubt I can focus much. I want to be able to help him the best I can

hi there! i'm currently a freshman in irvis (suite with two double rooms). my roommate moved out in october and i initially thought i was gonna get a roommate when school came back. it's now week 3 of the semester and to my surprise, no roommate.
what are the chances i get one? i don't mind either way, and it's nice to have the room to myself, but i know that pitt is notorious for not giving students a decent heads up and i cannot view my room assignment for this year anymore.

Hi I'm 24 and I'm a young woman. This last years I've started to have lack of motivation to do anything. I still do things bc I know if you don't do it is worse. I don't feel like I'm depressed neither but it's getting harder for me to work on things I want to do. Also I live with my parents this year bc I wanted to keep studying and I still do things so they don't complain about me. I have a good life, I've had some problems with friendships this last years that made me a little bit insecure making friends but I have any real problem. I have a very kind bf and I'm finally studying what I've always wanted. I still feel like I'm a failure, I'd like to start doing sport quit weed and start making serious artsy things but something inside me simply just wants to stay all day watching movies in bed and smoking weed. I feel frustrated all the time bc I compare myself with other people and I want to do lots of things but at the same time not, and I've quit on Instagram but still I feel like my life is meaningless and boring, waiting for the weekend to start so I can do nothing without feeling guilty. I've tried some psycologists in my lifetime and all of them were very bad, idk what else could I do.

Pages 1, 2 and 3 of the BP. Only Pg 1 has the symbols.
I can't seem to remove the red notification markers on the first page of the S1 Battlepass.
At the beginning of the season they weren't there but seemed to pop up when I earned enough chrono tokens. But also, the next two pages don't show it even though these items are available to me too. Also also, none of my friends seem to have this problem.
I had the same issue in S0 (Same as this post) but it went away after a couple of days. That post suggests it's intentional to encourage people to buy the luxury BP but I have my doubts. Why would it only pop up on the first 3 items, which don't require the luxury BP to claim?
This has been bugging me for more than a week. Any insights?

Hey new here 👋 I see in my left eye a glowing almost golden light that moves circle round my eye which happens spontaneously (maybe every 30 min a day) when I first went to the doctor too see if I had a problem they said it was “floaters” and it isn’t harmful so I said basically cool it doesn’t effect me and it doesn’t hurt so I just put it to the back of my head
3 days ago I had a spiritual awakening where I started thinking ALOT - I felt like it was my first time being awake
I’m just looking for answers I’ve been on the internet and watching YouTube and I actually seen someone (regards rei on YouTube) talking about how when you start “spiritual awakening” you eyes becoming sensitive and you might see light entity! I was really shocked as everything she was talking about in the video I 100% resonate with
