We're going to have our 40+ year old cpvc plumbing redone soon. I want to make sure we get it as resistant to freezing as possible. We're slab on grade with plumbing in the attic and quite a bit in the exterior walls. I haven't found a plumber here that has done this, so I want to make sure we are doing it right.
What are some things we should be asking for when it comes to redoing the plumbing?

When I was 12 years old my friends and I used to go biking for 10km to a near town to get free drinking water. The rout to the filtrated tap wasn't very safe and there were frequent accidents on it. In the country that I am from we had arsenic in our tap water so it wasn't drinkable and our parents didn't want to buy the water from the store. So 2-3 times a week we used to go there. We had 2-6 water jugs of 6l each so the way back was pretty hard especially for 12 year old kids. One day as we were returning my friend, let's call him Alex, asked me to swap places because he had less weight so he could turn around instead of his friend who was carrying more. Not even 10 minutes after that the first guy (Alex was second) told us to get of the road. Alex tried to move but he got hit. He flew of of his bike hitting his head. The car speed of and the 6 of us stayed there shocked. When we got our shit together I rushed to him took of my shirt and held it on his head. I was trying to wake him up but there was no way that was going to happen. I'm going to spare you the details because I don't want to cry rn. After the ambulance picked him up we drove with our water back to our town. As soon as we got our bikes home most of us came to the hospital to wait. After around 3 hours they got him out and as soon as I saw him I broke down crying. His whole head was almost wrapped with gaz and bandages. He was in a coma for two days but he is OK now. After almost 3 years I still have nightmares and flashbacks. I can't forgive myself for the fact that I let him switch places with me. I was the supposed to get hit and not him. Alex and I are still good friends and he is grateful for the fact I saved his life. A couple of days ago I found out one of the people that was with me that day tried to off himself. I tried to do that but turned back at the last second. I am the saddest that the 6 of us haven't had the innocence in our childhood. I hope that nothing similar happens to you or anyone else. Hi everyone! I recently traveled for the first time, and sitting through a 4-hour flight was a real struggle for me.
It felt impossible to sit still for so long. I kept fidgeting, bouncing my legs, and just couldn’t get comfortable no matter what I tried. I thought I might be able to nap, but nope – my brain wouldn’t let me relax at all.
The waiting before the flight also made things worse. The boredom and restlessness made me feel super drained even before I got on the plane.
For those who’ve had to deal with long flights, how do you manage it? I’d love to hear any advice or tips for making it easier next time!
