The phrasing here is super deliberate. If Dario was talking about the branch he just transferred from, he’d probably say something like “in my last” or “mine had” or “ours had”, just like Maeby did. But instead, he says “my FIRST.”
This implies Dario has worked at multiple Lumon branches before, unlike Maeby and Mark W., who both appear to be on their first branch transfer (Mark W. mentioned that when his branch shut down, he thought he’d be retired, suggesting he’s unfamiliar with/has never experienced the transfer process, and Maeby’s use of “ours” indicates she’s referring to her only prior branch, reinforcing the idea she hasn’t been transferred before either).
What’s also interesting is that the other MDR employees don’t seem to pick up on Dario saying “first.” Instead, they focus on the idea that his branch must have been incredibly old/poor to have brooms representing the Eagans. While this detail distracts the characters, it leaves us with a bigger clue about Dario’s history...
“Another Lying Boss” When Milkshake reads out the note Mark S. wrote, Dario mutters in Italian, “Another lying boss.” This seemingly small comment raises a big question: just how many bosses has Dario had during his time at Lumon?
If Dario has worked at multiple branches, it’s likely he’s dealt with numerous managers. His use of “another” suggests a pattern of distrust with leadership, as though deceit from his superiors is something he’s come to expect. This adds more depth to Dario’s character, suggesting he may have grown weary of Lumon’s system after years of seeing how it operates.
Lumon’s Outreach Programmes (copied from this comment):
Dario’s description of his first branch (since he was still talking about his first Perpetuity Wing) being “very poor,” with brooms, plates, and ropes, could also connect to Lumon’s outreach efforts described in The Kier Chronicle. These include a water filtration project in Lesotho and plans to build a charter school.

Another interesting detail is that none of the new MDR members’ badges include the “SVR’d Access” label that appears on other severed employees’ badges.

I think this is also deliberate. These employees don’t need “SVR’d Access” badges like our regular MDR team because they never leave Lumon. Like Ms. Casey, who I believe to be a permanent Innie, Dario and the other new MDR members might be permanent severed employees, confined entirely to Lumon’s facilities.
This theory would explain why they don’t need badges designed for employees who have both Innie and Outie lives. If Dario, Maeby and Mark W. are permanent Innies, their badges might serve entirely different functions, as they wouldn’t need to confirm to external security that they work on the severed floor.
Final Thoughts

Unfortunately, I gave dating apps a try. Another smoochy relationship advice story?? Nope not this one. 2023 December meet up with 27M, me 22F. I figure I’d see him - we talked quite a bit. After we met he admits his age on the app was a lie… hold your horses - he went from 27 to 28 to admitting he’s actually 30!? Red flag? Yeah well he was apologetic enough and seemed pretty genuine about coming clean. Fast forward - we like each other quite a bit. I meet the fam, the parents. He’s living in his parent’s basement after supposedly moving back from another state. He starts acting weird after like 6 months. (Yes he moved out and got his own place by now). We fight more often and have turmoil. He wants to go through my phone and just generally starts acting insecure. Long story short, after 8 months I break up with him right before my 23rd b-day. About 2 days after - my friend sends me a mugshot of him. It has his name and it states “current age: 35”. No… that can’t be true. I was in such denial - I gaslit myself. When confronted - he just said “I’m old okay 👌”. That’s the closure I got. When was he ever going to tell me? Idk. Why? When! What!? How??! He didn’t even look 30 and he had a huge stick up his ass about it when confronted. Thanks for being here and please don’t lie about your age online - or for 8 months of a relationship. I could’ve been happily single for that 8 months. On my birthday he texts me - “now we’re only 12 years apart”. Good riddens.
TLDR: Guy lies about his age on a dating app and is actually 8 years older than he initially said he was.

Hello! So as the title states, I'm trying to figure out the best size for the Sapper Jacket. Because I live in Korea, I am unable to try it on because they do not sell it here. This is also my first Barbour!
From what I could find from this forum and looking at the website, seems like large should fit the bill. And before I pull the trigger on a nightmare of a return/reselling process, I wanted to check with you fine experts.
I am 5'9"(1.74m), 42 in chest (106.7cm), 32 in waist (81.3cm) with an athletic build. Barbour website size (metric): Medium (chest 96-102, waist 81-86) or large (chest 102-107, waist 86-91). So with the chest measurement, it looks like a large. Of note, I will probably buy from cox and saddler (shocker), if anyone has any experience sending to the far side of the world, please let me know!
But as people in the forum seem to say in general, could size down or up, etc. I saw a couple posts here for a 40in chest and some purchased medium and one said maybe a small would be better. I plan to be able to wear a sweatshirt under the jacket, so I will need a little room.

2025.01.20 14:40 Tiny_Sir_ PC keeps shutting off on fortnite
Am not sure whats going on but whenever i play on fortnite at some point or another my PC just shuts off? What i mean is that the PC still appears to run (RGB on, fans running, allat), but am not recieving any kind of signal to my monitor or headphones. My keyboard also remains on (It only glows when the PC is on and still glows during this)
This only happens on fortnite and nothing else, not even more demanding games like GTA or Rdr2.
The only way to ’fix it’ is to turn the PC off manually and restarting it but this keeps happening and has been going on for a few days.
Any ideas on how to fix?

Hey all! I just wanted to share this "ah-ha" moment I got when talking to my wife about my old drinking problem and it was such a moment of clarity about why we (alcoholics) struggle with drinking that I had to share it with you all. This might apply to you, might not, but hear me out quickly if you have a moment. TL/DR at the bottom 👀
Most of us use drinking as a sense of comfort. If we feel awkward in a social setting, alcohol takes the edge off. Comfort. If we're in a new setting and feel uncomfortable, alcohol would take the edge off. Comfort. If we had a bad day or rough time with kids, alcohol would take the edge off. Comfort. If we or someone we knew just had a baby, drink up, cause it makes us cheerful. Comfort, and the list goes on for every excuse to have a drink. Comfort.
I realized that a lot of the triggers I had for drinking stem from a desire to be more comfortable in myself, situations or to deal with something that is disrupting my current comfort level. I KNOW I'm not alone in this!
Liken this to this analogy. If I'm outside and bad weather comes, I go into a house to protect myself from the bad weather (discomfort) and that makes me comfortable. Makes me feel safe and secure. Makes me feel better!
The issue with alcohol being the "comfortor" is that we run into IT'S house when the storm (anything uncomfortable) comes and what we don't get is that while it provides shelter from the storm outside, inside, this house is worse than a trap-house AND the storm outside! This "place" is filled with all the things that make us more uncomfortable but we see it as comfort because it dealt with the bigger problem we faced prior...the storm of our own INITIAL discomfort!
We have to realize that "running" into that "house" is not a good idea. We have to recognize that while the "house" looks safe and comfy, it is NOT and should be avoided at all cost! It's a TRAP-HOUSE!
In real life, would there ever be a moment where running into a house that is worse than a trap-house is better than moving a little further down the road to a safer place KNOWING the option is there and that you can get to a safer location? NO! We'd avoid that trap-house at all cost because our safety, our lives, our reputations, our families, our finances, and more depend on it!
This is the mentality to have when it comes to battling this disease. You have to realize that some things you're doing to seek comfort are leading you right to being uncomfortable all over again and the cycle repeats. You have to realize that ducking off into the "trap-house" at the first sign of discomfort is NOT the best idea.
One must realize this correlation; that any sign of discomfort does not and can not be remedied by running to the babottle/liquor store/club or whatever (the trap-houses).
We know this but have we taught ourselves how to recognize the deeper issuse? The issue of not coping with discomfort properly. Most alcohol dependent studies have revealed this to be a common denominator with those who struggle with alcohol. We cope improperly.
How should we cope then? My friends, that is a question that I hope all of us ask ourselves BEFORE going to our old "trusty trap-house answer". AGAIN.
I'm not a therapist so I do not feel qualified giving out coping advice but it is my sincerest hope (prayer) that we all receive that answer as it best applies to us individually but you have to seek out that answer yourself.
In the meantime, let's do all we can to realize that our old way of going into our "trap-house" for comfort is not the way and I encourage us all to seek out the Way. I hope this helped someone. 🙏🏾
