I've got some frozen dumplings which are pork from costco, rice cooker and frozen mixed veg.
I've not made a meal with these before and being English I'm not an expert on Asian style cuisine.
In my mind, it'll be quite bland/dry? Do I need a sauce for the rice to soak up in the bowl itself?
Or maybe a dip on the side?

Definitely got me thinking ... sure ... if I got robbed at gunpoint you'll get my credit cards, phone, Apple Watch Ultra, etc. etc. Ok. That's a big hit, and a lot to deal with. But what's scary about that post is how the robbers forced the owner to give up their passcode so that they could keep unlocking the phone, looking through any and all banking apps after they left, etc. etc.
I had never pondered that kind of scenario before. So it got me thinking in some of the comments of the thread. Apparently Samsung has a "vault" (app name Knox or something?) that basically can make a 2nd copy of your phone in software so maybe you keep most of your critical apps in there. But if you had to try to figure out how to protect yourself from this in iOS (other than 'don't get robbed at gunpoint') what would you do?
Certainly there is the new hide / face ID lock feature for apps in iOS 18 which is great. But I would assume that can be turned off once activated if you have the full pin #? (don't know never looked into it)
Would be great if iOS had a duress pin code option like some home alarm panels do.
Anyway - curious to know if anyone here has thought about this before? Also worth noting, over in scams we see a lot of folks where the story often goes 'this girl in a bar asked if she could use my phone to call her friend / mom' and so the victim unlocked their phone and handed it to the person who walked a few feet away to pretend to make a call but instead just found every mobile banking app they could and transferred money out. We see a lot of weird 'stranger asking to use my phone' to make a call threads come through (for which my answer would always be 'tell me the # and I'll dial it and put it for you on speakerphone here while I hold the phone) so it definitely seems like a target for modern day scammers/thieves.

 | I have this lovely Sarawak. It is my favorite. It gives me new leaves, I wouldn’t say FAST but very steadily. But sometimes, some of its leaves come out … backwards. Instead of being pillowy, they are like bowls. It’s not all the new leaves but some. And some are more than others. Anyone know why it’s doing that? I don’t mind it, as long as it’s not some kind of a weird health issue. I’m just curious. Can you tell me if this dog looks like it’s mixed with any other breed. The present owner says that he is sweet, 3 years old and great with kids. They are re-homing because they aren’t home enough to give him what he deserves and apparently he doesn’t like playing with their other male dog. I just got my fertilization update from my second ER. 37 yo with stage 4 endo and AMH of 3. See comparison below for context:
ER #1: 7 eggs, 6 mature, 5 fertilized, 3 on day 3, morula on day 5 that arrested on day 6. We wanted to do FET so weren’t prepared for a fresh transfer.
ER #2: 10 eggs, 6 mature, 4 fertilized.
We originally prepared for a day 5 fresh transfer. Given the circumstance, they said they would do a day 3 fresh transfer instead. They will not freeze at day 3, so my options are day 3 or day 5 fresh.
What would you do? I’m already heartbroken here, and I feel pigeon holed because I would prefer a frozen since I have endo. It’s not fair.

I was on the DUB to NYC flight 1/6 that was delayed over 3 hours. The announcement said there was a “blockage” in the sanitary system. Someone overheard a flight attendant saying a child had flushed a phone on the incoming flight. The gate agents handed out the EU261 delta information sheets to everyone regarding our rights to compensation.
I submitted my claim via delta website and their excuse to not compensate me is that this fell under “extraordinary circumstances”. I consider this covered under technical problems and lack of maintenance procedure for the arrival plane, which is the normal operational procedure and deltas responsibility. It wasn’t a strike, or bad weather. All the departure times screens were showing on time until we were supposed to board, they informed us of the delay at the last moment.
Am I justified here in challenging their “extraordinary circumstances” claim? Do I escalate this or give up?

The Fellow Stagg Is super popular but expensive, the bodum is cheap but smaller, the Oxo doesn’t come in black, the cuisinart is looking like the best middle ground unless I just say “send it” and get the fellow.
Any other recommendations that fit the similar aesthetic as the Stagg?
