Last month I came across a post here about a gardening kit that comes with a bunch of uncommon seeds and a book with recipes for herbal remedies that can be made from the plants. I thought it'd make a cool addition to my garden this year and the fact that it's made by Nicole who was on season 2 and 4 of the show Alone sold me even further because I love that show.
I can't find the original post but I want to thank them for sharing and tell anyone who was on the fence to go for it. I've planted everything so I'll share updates and photos of my garden as it grows in the comments of this post. The book written by Nicole goes over everything you can make with the plants from ointments and teas all the way to essential oils and infusions. These plants are not something you'd find in a normal store so they make for a unique addition to your garden.
I can't wait to try everything once the plants are ready to be harvested! I'll share some photos of the things I make using the guide when I can and let you know if they work. Here's the website since I can't find the original post to link to - https://nicolesgardening.com/

 | Hello everybody, Firstly, sorry if I make some language mistakes, but English is not my first language. I have to make a school project and I chose all my components but im not sure if they are the best choice or if i should think about some special/other things. My project: It is a Game Boy lookalike and i wanna program it so i can play games like snake or the google dino game on it. Maybe it is important to know that everything needs to be programmed in assembly and everything is made on a custom PCB design. This is also my first 'big' project were I make a custom PCB and use assembly. Everything in my project is running on de XC888 8-bit µ-controller. It is battery powered with a 2000mA LiPo battery with a jst Ph connector. To charge the battery, I chose TP4056 USB-C module. Because the battery voltage is only 3,7V and the µ-controller needs 5V, I use the TI LM2623 boost converter. Screen: Nokia 5110 LCD I chose it because my teacher just said it is a quite good monochrome display. Sound: passive Piezo buzzer, I only need a few different frequency sounds to give feedback to the user, so I think a buzzer does the job. Looked for ages but can't seem to find anywhere that shows pit mechanics in detail or how things are calculated - e.g. Pit effects' % as you increase tier or how the orange bar is actually calculated based on the enemies you kill (ESPECIALLY THIS)
I've seen leaderboard clears and some how it seems their orange bar fills alot faster than mine although I seem to kill the same number of enemies? Is this RNG or wut?

Hi, i was literally sextorted 2 hrs ago, they had a video of me and my infidelity. They also had my friends and follower list on ig and fb. I met this "girl" on tinder and we moved to telegram and things got heated up. I am so anxious rn and all i could think of is suicide once they start leaking stuff about me. I have cleared our history in telegeram, blocked them on tg, made my fb and ig acc private and i also deactivated my fb account. I changed my usernames as well and my profile picture. I dont know how the next few hrs or days will turn out.

After a year of being laid off, sending over 2500 applications, learning Python as a non developer to aid me in potential roles, and going back to school, I finally have an offer letter! To all of you that are still laid off, don't stop applying- you never know where your background and skills can take you and the chances are always zero if you don’t go for it. If It helps, I think what finally did it for me was a stellar in person interview and sending a thank you email immediately afterwards (I was the only applicant to do this). 2025.01.20 18:00 Illustrious_Olive444 Complete stranger to this sub who leans towards anti-AI art, but I just was wondering why y'all... I don't know, believe in/are pro-AI art.
This isn't meant to be condescending in any way whatsoever, by the way.
I'd like to think I don't exist in an echo chamber, and yet every other person, community, creator I'm familiar with (bar a few examples that have much worse views than AI art) is against its use. I'm just extremely curious because I'm so used to "vocal minorities," it's surprising when one isn't, well, vocal.
This isn't necessarily about changing opinions. With something as hot as AI, a single stranger isn't going to change that when everyone else can't, but I'd appreciate the discussion for discussions sake.

i genuinely need help. there is no place near me that pays around 15+ besides target. i physically need that much to be able to afford what i need to get a car and go to college. if i can’t get a job for that amount i’m not going to be able to afford anything. does anyone know of any jobs besides in n out that pay that much?? i’ve already applied there and they didn’t accept it. i don’t know what to do, i’m kinda panicked i live in texas btw and the minimum wage here is 7.50 an hour for reference.

A couple years ago I bought several sets of 75t earbuds. I gave some as presents and kept a spare set for me. I lost my first pair several weeks ago and decided to open up the box and charge the spare set. The case charged up just fine but the actual earbuds will not turn on and show no lights flashing or anything. It's as if the batteries are dead but they've been in the case for several days now. Also, I've tried a different case to see if that's the problem. There's nothing blocking the contacts either. What can I try now?
