My wife and I are taking my daughter up on the 25th for her first time. She'll take a lesson, and my wife and I will hang out in the lodge (too pricy for me to ski as well).
Anyway, I haven't been to Stevens in almost 30 years.

  1. What's a good lodge to hang out in for the day? I suspect we'll be using our phones/tablets most of the time. Are there places to plug in our chargers?
  2. Any decent food or should we bring our own? I don't want to spend a lot, but I know the food won't be cheap.
  3. We have a parking reservation and are aiming to be there about 8:00 AM. We live in Lynnwood, is 90 minutes an appropriate drive time?
  4. Is there anything for us to do while we wait for our daughter? Driving to Leavenworth might be an option since it's only 40 minutes away.Anything else we can do while at the pass?
  5. We have AT&T phones, is there cell coverage up there?

Hey folks!
Recently pulled the trigger on an A1 Mini since I can’t do woodworking during the winter.
A few nights in Fusion, a lot of measuring and a Radius Gauge print later, I managed to build a neat little keypad base.
Had a little blooper since I missed an overhang, but the end result is still pretty nice. I went to check on the print right as it started to print in midair. Needless to say - I watched that thing like a hawk, but the little dude did it.
Really happy with how this turned out!

Is it normal to talk to yourself even years after being mildly isolated?
(Backstory boils down to "I was left alone for a while a few years ago") For a few months altogether, but weeks at a time, I was left all on my own, not allowed to leave the house, and nobody I could call. But at the end of the day, my dad would come home (though he was too tired to talk so I'd go upstairs by that time anyway). I ended up talking to myself out loud and narrating things out loud.
Its been years, and I'm now almost always around others. Im not afraid of being alone, though I prefer it less than I used to. I still narrate and talk to myself, sometimess without realizing, especially when I'm in a room by myself but even sometimes with others around. It only began when I was isolated so it def started there.
Is it normal to continue after years? I'm worried it might not be but I dont think its a huge problem, just a little annoying lol

2025.01.20 21:00 Uninhibitedrmr 19 days sober update: feel different this time around

This time going sober feels different I feel like I actually want sobriety for myself this time.
I started to do dry January and really hold onto it out of spite at first. Because I was a bit 'annoyed' seeing on social media people that did not have an issue with alcohol either post about dry January or make a 'joke' about it saying they made it 2 days into dry January. Or annoyed people who didn't have drinking problems could so easily make it through Dry January, I know I should honestly not care about other's actions, but it felt like I had something to prove to myself.
I am 19 days sober after being on and off drinking since October. This attempt of sobriety feels better this time around because I feel done with drinking for myself and I am not planning when I can drink next. I am done with the brutal hangovers, crippling hangxiety, people knowing me for my drunk actions versus sober actions, and straight up embarrassing myself. I want to be considerate of my health because alcohol was not agreeing with me anymore and making me so sick and be more present in life even for the bad.
Hopefully this is the start of being sober for the long run.

I just finished a big payout game and got over $100. After I got it they didn’t let me withdrawal for 2 weeks bc they were “reviewing” something. Later, I was then logged out of my account with my password all of a sudden not working. When I went to get a verification code to reset my password I would never be sent anything. After weeks of back and forth of emails they today told me that they are suspending my account. This seems to be very very unfair and targeted after I got a big prize. I would stay away from this app!!! Very frustrating!
