okay so i ended up having to drive myself home for winter break and now i have an unexpected car on campus. i tried to get a parking permit on the website, it said none were available. i tried to call the help line but it says the department is closed even though today is part of normal business hours (guessing it’s because the semester doesn’t start until tmrw?)
so my question is what am i supposed to do? ik there’s no on campus parking without a permit overnight but i have no other option. should i just risk it and park in one of the shuttle lots? i just don’t know what to do and any help would be great

Lot’s of false starts in my history but I’m feeling committed this time. It’s only been a couple weeks and except for one day where I felt the too familiar jab of hopelessness, I’ve stayed the course. My “tools” thus far have been: joining a community center tutorial project which meets once per week; using a Windows app called Human Japanese daily (which I like); practicing writing kana everyday; writing my address and applying for a library card and checking out kids books; reading tons of Reddit posts about available tools and bookmarking some; and researching which (if any) e-ink device to buy.
My tendency toward many things in life is to “gear up.” Sometimes the gear is helpful and my drive thrives and other times the gear gather’s dust on the shelf and I regret spending the money – and quit the project.
So here I am embarking on the notion that better gear will motivate me to study (and really learn Japanese)! My gear thus far is my desktop Windows 10 computer, the app I mentioned and a few books. I admit I like the idea of a dedicated e-ink device loaded with apps to enhance study and acquisition but I’m wary of laying out a lot of money, not only for the reasons I mentioned, but also because of mindless marketing of devices that fail to deliver what’s promised. In fact, that latter reason weighs heavily.
My device research has taken me down a path where reading, alone, would be a simple enough task that could be achieved on the cheapest of devices, say, a Kindle, but many of you recommend pen input to practice kanji and I have to admit that’s appealing. But as many of you have said, the pen/e-ink devices leave a lot to be desired (mindless marketing). As of about an hour ago, I chanced upon a thread that recommended this incredibly cheap option: https://www.xp-pen.com/product/star-g430s.html; and the epiphany has been that together with that device, I probably have no need of an e-ink device when my desktop will do, right?

Hi, I have a melitta latticia OT 600 series coffee maker and it is not working properly, I opened it and noticed the RJ11 port on the back. Do you know how I can connect to the shell? I used RJ11 and a USB to TTL converter, but every BAUD in the putty was incorrect and instead of text there were only unintelligible characters. Maybe should i use RJ11 and RS232 usb converter.
Coffe Machine is based on STM32F030C8T6

2025.01.20 21:00 JEK93 Is it even possible to get better at this game?
At the start of the patch I flew through rivals to almost promoting to Div 1. However, after a few days everything is back to normal..
The new patch has definitly changed some aspects of the game. However, I am still as shit as I was before. Still in div 3/2, still 7-9 wins in champs.. I was hoping that after the patch I would get better results, as I think I used manual defending often before the patch. But now it feels like I cant keep any defensive structure at all and I am not Quick enough to control all the defenders.
Anyone got any tips on how to get better? (Without using stupid mechanica that dont resemble normal football whatsoever)

 | Finally was time to get new tires on my second gen d40 so went a size up and I’m happy I did. Went from the stock 265/70/16 to 265/75/16 and it looks so much better. No rubbing or issues on the stock suspension. So far love the new Cooper Discoverer Road & Trail AT’s. Super quiet, barely a difference between the stock Hankook dynapro HTs. First 3 pictures are with the new tires and Last picture is before.
