2025.01.20 21:00 Uninhibitedrmr 19 days sober update: feel different this time around
This time going sober feels different I feel like I actually want sobriety for myself this time.
I started to do dry January and really hold onto it out of spite at first. Because I was a bit 'annoyed' seeing on social media people that did not have an issue with alcohol either post about dry January or make a 'joke' about it saying they made it 2 days into dry January. Or annoyed people who didn't have drinking problems could so easily make it through Dry January, I know I should honestly not care about other's actions, but it felt like I had something to prove to myself.
I am 19 days sober after being on and off drinking since October. This attempt of sobriety feels better this time around because I feel done with drinking for myself and I am not planning when I can drink next. I am done with the brutal hangovers, crippling hangxiety, people knowing me for my drunk actions versus sober actions, and straight up embarrassing myself. I want to be considerate of my health because alcohol was not agreeing with me anymore and making me so sick and be more present in life even for the bad.
Hopefully this is the start of being sober for the long run.

I know people don't like the later seasons and there's definitely issues (freaking doomsday was a disappointment) but overall I like how Clark tried to not only learn about kryptonian culture but integrate his people with life on Earth. And how everyone seemed to mostly go along with it except for Zod.

I just finished a big payout game and got over $100. After I got it they didn’t let me withdrawal for 2 weeks bc they were “reviewing” something. Later, I was then logged out of my account with my password all of a sudden not working. When I went to get a verification code to reset my password I would never be sent anything. After weeks of back and forth of emails they today told me that they are suspending my account. This seems to be very very unfair and targeted after I got a big prize. I would stay away from this app!!! Very frustrating!

 | Full team in images, I’ve been EV grinding @ the Trainer House for the right stats to go along with their moves, but I’m still getting swept. I’m on expert difficulty and really don’t want to lower it. Any tips? Any flying type that can have the right type coverages against the gym leaders team? I’ve been thinking lately of maybe switching to natural products , maybe if possible to even make them myself ?

I know this question is probably discussed a lot on here, specially bc "nobody can find jobs anymore" and stuff but even after looking everywhere I feel like I couldn't find the answer to my specific question.
I looked up good majors to study in 2024/5, mainly bc i was kinda confused between eng, cs and finance. people say that's a good choice. Unfortunately, I'm not brave enough to just follow what my heart wants, specially bc i'll be spending a lot of money on education and also i just want a good future. Don't get me wrong tho, I'm not delusional enough to choose cs only for the money. I know how difficult it is and I am kind of interested in cs and i LOVE maths and do code sometimes(and i dont mean just html and css lmfao) so I'm not just forcing myself to choose this subject or anything.
From what I've gathered ppl in eng are literally miserable and ask you not to take it, cs majors say absolutely avoid this major now bc you can never get jobs apparently, ppl say finance is useless unless youre in a really really good uni. Interesting how ppl outside the cs community are STILL suggesting cs while this sub is in shambles over finding jobs. :(
Ideally, I'd do a Mathematics/Data Science major (useless apparently..), or maybe a Marketing major because that sounds super fun but I need to lock in for my future lol. Sometimes I feel like I should do Econ, the starting pay isnt much but it wouldn't stress me out like cs I guess lol.
My question is, what really is a good major to study now? Besides the healthcare field(cant do healthcare bc i didnt have biochem in hs so no uni will take me obvi), and engineering too because i probably cant do that, what major is really safe? Should I just risk it with cs? Are cs jobs only difficult to get when you're aiming for top companies or are they just impossible in general? Should I go for finance? Maybe study cs and move to finance later? OR should I stop aiming for a good pay and just settle for average jobs?

I think it's also worth mentioning that I'm looking to study abroad and preferably move abroad in the future(jobs). Not necessarily USA only but maybe aus uk europe..or maybe even singapore! Obviously finding jobs abroad is difficult and an oversaturated major is even more risky. Not sure what to do lol
