2025.01.20 22:30 Jor_dent Veggies & Chicken $5 a day. Prepped out until Saturday
Cost & time & Recipe: 7.4 lbs of chicken breast --> 3318g raw / 122g a serving = 30 servings of 25g protein or 10 servings at 75g protein per meal.
- 2 meals a day with 75g protein / serving = 330 cal from protein & 143 cal from veggies
- $9 for carrots, $8 for 2 bags of broccoli, $23 for 7.3 lbs of chicken (Costco) = $5.2 ish a day for protein and fiber.
- I get the other two macros from my work (oats & nuts on tap)
- Pressure cooked the meat for ~40 mins, heat up, 9 min cook time, 25 min release.
- At the same time I cooked 2 rounds of veggies in my air frier.
- Seasoned the chicken after shredding and veggies after roasting
- 2.5 ish hours to cook and assemble and cool my meals

Finally got around to playing Legends and completed it yesterday. I was reluctant to play it due to waining interest in the franchise with all the poor decisions they have been making with the main series.
To be honest I vastly enjoyed playing Legends compared to my time with S/V. It's sad that a spin-off title outshines the main series to this extent. There are several quality of life changes I personally would have made to Legends, over all has been a fantastic experience.

2025.01.20 22:30 TragicallyUnderstood Got terminated today.
So yea. Got terminated this morning as soon as I came in. To give a little context I'm was a 5 year distribution employee. 4 years and 9 months of that time I spent in the maintenance department. At the end of October of last year the shift I was on got eliminated due to budget reasons. (I worked the overnight Friday,Saturday,Sunday shift. 5pm to 5:30am) Also keep in mind that i have a 10 year ba ground in facility maintenance. Been doing that type of work since i was 19. Was told that I could go to a different department if I didn't want severance. Went into the 1st shift production, in the forklift lift department. Was told I was being let go because of nor meeting production numbers, which is fair. I only had been making at most 85% of what they wanted. But the manager who terminated me told me I was definitely rehireable in a few months if I wanted to coke back. This actually stunned me because if I'm being fired then why would I be able to be rehired, especially if i didn't make the required production numbers. Thankfully I already had been looking for work elsewhere and have already accepted a job for the my local post office, but I'm still just find the idea that I could be rehirable kinda insulting. In my mind if I can be rehired then why even fire me at all? Not really trying to vent I'm just genuinely curious does anyone know the policy on this? Any and all comments would be helpful.

On top of it is an Unifi Cloud Gateway Max (only used by my server and at the same time a “switch”). My main and only server is a used HP thinclient 630. I upgraded the RAM to 32gb DDR4 and the storage to 512gb SSD. Even though the whole setup only cost me 230€, the performance is not bad at all. I see a huge opportunity to make use of them in new types of exercises, like matching pairs between images and audio, selecting the correct elements mentioned in a story, and much more. I (M) am a Canadian currently in the US on a TN that expires 8/31/25.
My fiancé (engaged for 2+ years) is also on a TN (just renewed).
We both currently have EB-2 based sponsorship pending. Her PERM was filed in October 2023 so we assume it’ll be approved soon (unless an audit happens).
My PERM was filed in Sept 2024, so I am behind her by about a year.
If we get married before her I-485 is approved, can I join her petition as a derivative applicant?
Next, if I can, what do I need to do to protect myself in any delays for EAD approval and my expiring TN?
Last, how would be being a derivative applicant impact my current PERM, if at all?
