My boyfriend was living in California, EAST LA to be exact. We’re busy calculating how many miles and how much money he’d need to make it back to Arizona.
Here’s the problem, the car he owns is registered in California, and he has NO insurance. So he’s running the risk of crossing state borders and possibly getting pulled over without insurance.
I just need to know if there’s a checkpoint coming from LA to Phoenix that will check his insurance? I haven’t been to Cali in a long time and I can’t remember. I just know there’s a border checkpoint going IN to California but can’t remember if there’s one coming back.
Even if he doesn’t have insurance and doesn’t get pulled over, is he gonna get fucked at this checkpoint that may or may not exist?
He’s homeless, his mom kicked him out in LA and he’s just trying to get back home to Arizona.
He never changed his address and ended up keeping his Arizona license. So he doesn’t even have a California license… plus, no insurance? We’re honestly at a loss right now.

There were so many books and magazines we weren't allowed to look into. But the one I remember best is a tabloid called Midnight, sort of like the National Enquirer.
I only saw it at the beauty shop where my mother went nearly every week to get her hair done. (Yes, it was the high-maintenance french twist, kept aloft with Aquanet and wrapped up in a kerchief when she went to bed.) While the ladies were all chatting under the dryers, I'd be peeking at issues of Midnight. It was kind of like watching true-crime TV shows continually.

2024 was a year of ups and downs for me. But I think most of all, I've gotten much better with acknowledging the fact that I am not perfect (in fact I'm quite imperfect). Maybe it was because I became more aware that everyone has their own personal problems, gripes with themselves.
Anyway, I feel like these days I'm just much more happy with not being perfect. Best way I can describe it. If anyone has been struggling with this, I think the best I can say is to keep going, and to pay attention to reality, which is that all of us feel like we're flawed because we all are in some ways. But that doesn't mean we should dwell on it.

People complain a lot about remakes. That those episodes do not deserve a remake and that those that deserve them, such as 236 from Air Transat or 52 from Avianca (be careful, I don't know if that's what they are, but I've heard many of them) don't make them.
With this I go to my first question: who or who chooses the accidents or incidents for the seasons and why are the opinions of the public not taken into account (be careful, I don't know if this is true)?
The second question is why do you consider that accidents from the 70s, 60s or 50s are considered irrelevant if there are accidents that are very interesting (the Zagred collision, Interflug flight 450, Aero Lingus flight 712, Flight 1 of american airlines, etc...)?
The last question is, is there some kind of waiting list, ideas or very high requests from Cineflix for accidents or incidents for the series?

My Dad (80+) fell victim to the classic scam where the fraudulent caller poses as representative of the bank and gained access to the PC. They attempted to drain the accounts immediately. Luckily it was caught early before the transfers were confirmed so he should be ok financially.
My question is related to any further attacks using information they have gathered while having access to the PC. Obviously I have changed passwords to all applications and I have destroyed the drive and will setup him with a new install.
But there there is anything else to consider to prevent any further breaches? E.g. would it be worth changing his email address?
