2025.01.20 22:29 Mediocre_Ad_1116 39.56mmol/mol is prediabetic?
Hello, I just got my results back from a HbA1C test I bought from Randox Labs and I got the above reading back with a diagram that showed I was in the "green" range (however pretty close to the "orange"/prediabetes range).
I asked ChatGPT ab it and apparently its not prediabetes (which corroborates the report) but it is a "yellow" flag. It also said the reading of 39.56 translates to 5.8% which I am p sure is prediabetic judging by posts on here but im also not sure.
Will add that I am not shocked by these results given my terrible sleep habits, lack of hydration and a past eating disorder but I am pretty young (in university) and almost underweight so I wasn't expecting to have to change my ways so quickly lol.

Y'all probably had this conversation already, but why the #@$× can you use the mouse and keyboard in the menus, but not in game. It's such a bait thing to do and very disappointing. I could understand if it wasn't usable at all, or in reverse, but this way is the stupidest thing they could've done, and don't come at me with the "oh it wouldn't be fair to controller players" bull*$#@, by that logic we should delete crossplay features... Is anyone else seeing these crazy ads for mushroom gummies today?
I am not a pearl clutcher by any means, but the first ad was a dude in sunglasses saying mushroom gummies usually taste so bad, he puts them up his butthole, but these gummies are so good, he takes them by mouth and "trips balls".
Just got another one of some lady saying when she eats them she feels like she should be naked on a beach somewhere, getting in touch with nature.
Now, I enjoy using some psychedelics now and then, but these ads were jarring in a game setting like that.
Wtf?

I’ve (22/F) been talking to a guy(22/M) for almost 3 months. It started with maybe 3/4 months of us kinda flirting when he would come into my job, and one day I went to get my tire fixed and he was the one working. We have been talking and going out on dates for what will be 3 months on the 27th. He told me when we first started talking that he does take his time asking someone out and it’s because he wants to be sure that the relationship will work out. That’s understandable, but a month ago he asked me to meet his ENTIRE family. Aunts and uncles and cousins included lol. And I see him at least 3/4 times out of the week. He’s slept over a few times. Posts me on social media occasionally. But even after telling him to, he never bought me flowers once. And still hasn’t asked me out. I told him how I felt about it a while ago and he said that he wants to be with me but he is just adamant on moving slow. And I said ok. But last night it got brought up during a disagreement, and he said it’s because he doesn’t know me 100% yet. That’s such an unrealistic standard to put on someone. People constantly grow and change.. at this rate if he wants to know me 100% before dating, I’ll be single for years. Time to cut him off? Or am I overreacting?

2025.01.20 22:29 ResultRecent4750 Vintage pedal Yamaha 800 series Gem of a pedal? Possibly artifact?
I got this vintage pedal yamaha 800 series from the ?mid ~90s? in pretty good condition and it feels better and faster and smoother than all of modern pedals I've tried and I've tried about maybe 15ish different pedals mostly mid/high end like FP9 yamaha, FP9500D, FP9500C ,DW 5000, Eliminator 2002 and redline series , Axis A longboard , Mapex Raptor, Speed Cobra, Iron Cobra(older), Trick big foot pro1, and many others. Haven't tried the Kopyto yet but I haven't got that kind of cash and frankly I think I don't like direct drives that much judging from the ones I tried previously. I think I might like the DW 5000, Machined Chain Drive , perfect balance/ newer Iron Cobra with coil but there are nowhere near me to be found so I can't test. So I play the fastest with this Yamaha pedal its insane to me it's only medium spring tension and I'm thinking is it worth changing the chain with the belt drive of the sonor perfect balance? Maybe adding another spring beneath the footboard like the cobra coil? I'm an extreme metal drummer so speed and power is required and I'm able to play about 210-20ish bpm already without touching without even lubing and it's been in a cellar for at least 10-15 years so its squeeky and had zero maintanence but its still insanely fast and smooth idk how. I know for a fact that belt drive is better because on the eliminator I liked the belt drive better than chain. And the speed cobra/iron cobra are definetely faster tnx to the cobra coil too. So If I adjust this pedal with these addons It might become the perfect pedal for my technicue which is fast singles I dont use heel toe or anything similar. Thought? Concerns? I'm currently thinking just trying the belt drive upgrade first and then see where it goes from there because this is easy. Yeah my dad is a mechanical engineer he will help if needed for an added spring I'm just asking if someone has ever thougth of upgrading a vintage pedal like this and what were the results if yes

i was dating this guy during the break up until i had to leave for college. during our last date he told me that we can keep in contact but he cannot consistently talk to me because he doesn’t want to get too attached bc we’re far apart and wants to focus on school. i got really sad and made that very clear to him lol. next day we called each other and i told him how much i value communication and he said that he will give me that if it means that i’ll be reassured and if it’ll show that he really does like me. in my head im thinking okay he is really trying to change i guess? fast forward to now (a week later LOL) i haven’t talked to him. last conversation we had through text was about a show but that’s it. i sent him tiktoks and he responded a few days ago but that’s it. i’m like damn, does he even like me fr? should i reach out? but i feel like if i reach out, he’ll feel inclined to respond to me. like he’ll respond to me just to make me feel better not because he wants to, you know what i mean? am i overthinking this? yall please help.
