Hi all. Sorry for the dumb question, as I know these two things don't totally correlate, but my roommate is telling me that my taxes may be wrong. I'm filling out on TaxAct with my current W-2: I made about $48000 this year (2024), as opposed to $31,000 last year (2023), but last year $10,000 of it was one a 1099 and I ended up owing about $650 in state & federal taxes combined. This year there's no 1099, just the income reported on my W-2, and though my withholding was 0 I still owe about $600 in federal taxes. Did I/my employer mess something up? Or do I really have to bite it and pay the $600? Haven't filed yet, but just wanted to see if something was being messed up before I go to an expert. Thanks!

 | I kept on having a problem where my PS5 was randomly shutting off while playing GT7 or The Crew Motorfest once I opened it up I saw what you see in this picture apparently whoever I bought it from owned it for quite a while and never bothered to clean out the console even know there's hints that they opened it up before with screws being looser than they should be in a disk drive was not correctly screwed down either. I was playing with my family the other night and my sister pointed out that it was weird that players in the middle section didn't have acces to a spell from the get go. For what I've read on the manual, it does not adresses this so, do you think there's just a net disadvantage beggining in the middle of the board or is there some balance that I'm overlooking?

I know a lot of you want to lash out against anyone who voted this in. Call them a rat, and idiot, a booticker. I get it, but does this really bring them over to our side, or push them away from the union. I used to be a libertarian (be gentle). On the surface a lot of these MAGA ideas sound like good ideas. Who doesn't want "less government spending", "slowing the flow of Chinese goods", or for America to be "great" - whatever that is. You want to know what changed my mind and brought me over to the pro-union, populist movement? It was being scolded, shamed, or the name calling. It was EDUCATION. It was finding out less government is really code for cutting fund for services like education and workers pay, it was finding out tarrifs really meant jacking up prices, it was learning all the insane anti-union job busting executive orders Trump passed in his 1st term. Insuls only entrenched me further. Seeing the TRUTH was what converted me.

I begrudgingly land him, convert him to the one true faith (Khurramism), and matrilineally betroth his 8-year-old son (an only child) to one of my daughters around the same age (I have no idea how or why he agreed to this lol) and then IMMEDIATELY he Leeroy Jenkinses off to war against the Bavandids in Rayy and DIES IN BATTLE. Seljuk Invasion PREVENTED!
