We have a fluorescent fixture in the bathroom and I noticed the top fitting looked broken. I took it apart and discovered the wire that attached direct from the mains to the "shoe" the light fits into, appears burnt.
My question for askelectricians is does this result from a blown ballast or is it more likely a power surge from the mains? We don't have the most stable power in windy times.
This is an old Kohler unit that is no longer sold. The unit was installed about 18 years ago. Thanks for any feedback.

 | The Lego Avengers tower has to be one of the coolest sets ever. I built in a week and it was super enjoyable to build and see all the little details and easter eggs. I added some of my own minifigures, such as Yelena Belova, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, and Spider-man. Doesn’t really work as far as the canon marvel movie-verse, but my tower is set in a happily ever after universe if you will. Hello, I love Bramble: The Mountain King, and have watched playthroughs of it on a loop for a long while now. As I watched the game's story, I have many curiosities about what a hypothetical Adaptation of Bramble would be like. Questions like:
Movie or Series?
Animated or Live Action? If animated, what type of animation style would it be? Arcane/Spiderverse Animation, CGI, or Stopmotion?
In an adaptation, changes/deviations from the source material are inevitable/necessary, so what changes should be made? A change I would make would be that we have Olle catch up to Lilemor a bit before the troll shows up and maybe their playing/arguing/Laughing gets the troll's attention and when he shows up, Lilemor pushes Olle out of the way. Y'know, story changes like that, what would yours be?
Would there be dialogue or have it lack outright dialogue like Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal? If the former, who would your cast be?
Where would you have the Movie/Series stream? Or has it been released in Theaters?
I'm interested in what suggestions Bramble fans will have in the comments, so don't be shy

I’ve tried the remote that came with the TV, a Universal Roku remote, and the ROKU app remote on my phone. All of these options and still changing the volume is incredibly laggy and the home button, play/pause, etc. take a couple seconds to respond. Is it the TCL TV? I bought it new at Best Buy in 2019. We’ve been putting up with laggy remotes for a couple years and my wife is at her breaking point. Help!

2025.01.21 01:20 Worried-Notice-3015 Mods causing freezing, but I can't disable the mods without loading up!
Having an issue where there are clearly some conflicting mods causing issues. I want to disable them, and the way I know how to do that is by removing them from my playset in the paradox mods section of the main menu. But the error is preventing me from even getting to that screen.
The game takes a while to start, then I get multiple error windows that I can click "continue" or "quit game" at the bottom. If I hit continue it just loops through the errors and eventually starts repeating the same ones. So all I can do is quit.
Can I delete mods without launching the game?
