speaking to my vet before my baby was put down last week, he seemed to strongly suggest that while feline medicine on the whole has advanced, the same could not be said about research into feline cancer and lymphoma.
there are millions of cats and cat owners that cancer could potentially impact. Mars, Hill's, Nestle Purina and VCA are raking in BILLIONS each year. so what's going on with cancer research?
how can we change this? is there an organization that we can support? because:

So it's been a few years since the group was kind enough to perform Street Theater on me. My wife and son were in Florida visiting family. Long story short the group decided to perform on a roof top across the street from me. And let's just say by the time they "finished" I was rolling. They literally had some white dude hit a pirouette and a bunch of black dudes took the stance of b-boys or for any DragonBall Z fans out there it looked about as ridiculous as the Ginyu Force poses. After a long chuckle and pointing out how all the house niggas needed to top off their boss and a few other things said.....needless to say all street theater ceased. Fast forward a couple of years. The group made 2 attempts on street theater on me. The 1st one ended as fast as they tried to crank it up. I went inside and grabbed my Nikon Digital Camera with night mode etc. And when I pulled that guy out. You could hear their hearts break. I even heard a handler closest to my side implore their people to not be so mad. And me being who i am walked around and told them that they rehearsed and had so much excitement and anticipation that I too am excited and would love to see it. Anyways. Crickets. They tried one last time i just came home from working late. I was so tired because I had a deadline to meet that by the time i pulled up to my house. I was so beat that I just went to sleep in my car and that wasn't intentional. My car has turbo so I have to wait for it to spool down before turning it off. And I fell asleep that fast. Anyways my slouches tapped out from anymore attempts.

So I don't know if people have any advice but is there a way to keep my cat away from the bin into which I put the pee/poo clumps? The bin is washed (with the same low-scented soap I wash everything else) regularly as well as the bag emptied out every couple of days. If anything my cat is more likely to come mess with the bin when I recently changed the bag. I tape the bin closed after every use but he still grabs onto the bag and drags it as far out as possible, sometimes gnaws chunks off it, and sometimes he also knocks the poo bin down.
When I'm awake and around this isn't a problem but when I'm at work or meant to sleep then we have poo bin problems. Especially sleep. Y'all, I love this cat with all my heart but I don't think I can keep living for my whole life with only 2 hours of sleep a night. It's been about 8 months and I think that's as far as I can go with this level of sleep deprivation.
Okay this is probably not true but I'm still very tired and struggling with work and studies.
(And yes he has 3 cat trees, innumerable toys, multiple scratch posts and mats, a cat tunnel, a bazillion sleeping stations and 24/7 access to water and food he likes. He's a single cat and unfortunately that can't change for now - he is extremely costly because of all the health issues he has had and my financial situation is very bad right now.)
I can't add any edible deterrents (e.g. tabasco sauce) to the bin/bag because we live in a tropical country and have an ant infestation problem.
